Policy making and implementation, planning and management are widely recognized as central to effective health systems and services and to better health. Globalization, and the economic circumstances facing groups of countries world-wide, meanwhile present a great challenge for health planning and management. The aim of this quarterly journal is to offer a forum for publications which direct attention to major issues in health policy, planning and management. The intention is to maintain a balance between theory and practice, from a variety of disciplines, fields and perspectives. The Journal is explicitly international and multidisciplinary in scope and appeal: articles about policy, planning and management in countries at various stages of political, social, cultural and economic development are welcomed, as are those directed at the different levels (national, regional, local) of the health sector. Manuscripts are invited from a spectrum of different disciplines e.g., (the social sciences, management and medicine) as long as they advance our knowledge and understanding of the health sector. The Journal is therefore global, and eclectic. Editorial Policy The Editors welcome contributions from teachers, researchers, policy-makers and practitioners, whose knowledge, skills and visions bear broadly on the planning and management of the health sector. The overriding criterion for full-length manuscripts is originality, a high scholarly quality, and genuine interest to a wide audience. JCOM will provide the primary forum for advancement and dissemination of scientific knowledge on co-operative organizations and their management. The journal will include up-to-date, high-quality, and original contributions - research papers, reviews, and syntheses as well as book and conference reviews - dealing with questions on how, why and when co-operative organizations occur and succeed, fail and disappear, and what can be done to influence the outcome.

Co-operative organization is broadly defined. It refers not only to co-operatives as an institutional form, but any other organization that follows the principles of co-operation. Examples include consumer, housing, producer, and worker co-operatives, credit unions and mutuals, multiparty alliances as well as different forms of collective, community, and social entrepreneurship. In addition to these types of co-operative entities, a variety of non-profit and voluntary organizations will be covered in the journal. JCOM calls for contributions focused on the following organizational philosophies and the management of organizations operating along one or more of these philosophies:
• Voluntary association of individuals and/or entities (co-operating and networking)
• Freedom with fellow individuals and entities (pursuit of autonomy and independence)
• Accountability of individuals and entities (membership in organizations and environments)
• User-members' collective ownership of and control over the organization's resources (democracy)
• Engagement in action only if rewards/results are greater than costs/efforts (efficiency and beneficiality)
• Transaction- or contribution-based distribution of economic surplus to members and stakeholders (fairness)
• Education and training of members and stakeholders on co-operation and the underlying principles (knowledge of co-operation).

Theory elaboration on the topic co-operative organizations has an interdisciplinary tradition. JCOM will therefore encourage contributions that make rigorous use of variety of theoretical perspectives and methodological approaches. The journal will also welcome critical debate between opposing perspectives.

JCOM will strive to attract and engage an international readership that is primarily academic. University libraries and individual academics are the primary target group for the journal. However, given the scarcity of rigorous and well marketed journals with similar focus, the journal seeks to attract professional audiences as well. This is important given that the ultimate test for theoretical contributions is the application of the new knowledge in the practices of organizations and in the praxis of individuals.

Comprehensive Results in Social Psychology is devoted to publishing social psychological research using the registered report format where a plan for the research is submitted for initial review. The journal aims to foster empirical debate, testing of theories, scientific discovery, and replications, all under the auspices of open scientific communication and exchange.

If the plan for research is accepted as being methodologically sound and theoretically important, authors are guaranteed publication of the manuscript irrespective of the outcome of data analysis. Education 3-13 - International Journal of Primary, Elementary and Early Years Education is the major international publication of the Association for the Study of Primary Education (ASPE). The defining feature of the journal is that it aims to publish refereed articles representing the highest quality research and analysing practice relating to children between the ages of 3-13, both in the UK and internationally. The International Journal of Mechanical Sciences (IJMS) is an international forum for the publication and dissemination of original work which contributes to greater scientific understanding of the main disciplines underpinning the mechanical, civil and material engineering sciences.Original contributions providing insight into the use of analytical, computational (e.g. FEM, BEM, mesh-free methods and others) modelling methods for rigid-body mechanics (e.g. dynamics, vibration, stability), structural mechanics, metal forming, behaviour and application of advanced materials (metals, composite, cellular, smart etc.), impact mechanics, strain localization and other effects of nonlinearity (e.g. large deflections, plasticity, fracture etc.), fluid mechanics (external and internal flows), tribology, thermodynamics and materials processing generally form the core of the journal contents.The International Journal of Mechanical Sciences does not accept for publication material which quite specifically belongs with other established specialist journals. Papers whose concern is primarily with mathematical or computational techniques, developed within a general framework and not aimed at any specific engineering application, are not requested. Similarly, papers whose content is purely descriptive or empirical and which do not make any scientific contribution, will not be considered. Comparison with experiments/tests conducted by the authors or others to validate the main contribution of the paper are strongly encouraged, however design-based studies, based on established formulae and methods, are outside our scope and should not be submitted to the International Journal of Mechanical Sciences.Only original, innovative and novel papers will be considered for publication in the International Journal of Mechanical Sciences and before considering their work, authors are required to confirm that their paper has not been submitted to any other journal in English or any other language. Occasionally, 'Letters to the Editor' are considered.

Journal for the Study of Spirituality is a peer-reviewed journal which creates a unique interdisciplinary, inter-professional and cross-cultural forum where researchers, scholars and others engaged in the study and practices of spirituality can share and debate the research, knowledge, wisdom and insight associated with spirituality and contemporary spirituality studies.

The  British Association for the Study of Spirituality (BASS) organises a biennial international conference and welcomes enquiries about membership from those interested in the study of spirituality in the UK and worldwide.

The journal is concerned with what spirituality means, and how it is expressed, in individuals’ lives and communities and in professional practice settings; and with the impact and implications of spirituality in, and on, social policy, organizational practices and personal and professional development. The journal recognises that spirituality and spiritual values can be expressed and studied in secular contexts, including in scientific and professional practice settings, as well as within faith and wisdom traditions.

Thus, Journal for the Study of Spirituality particularly welcomes contributions that:

• identify new agendas for research into spirituality within and across subject disciplines and professions;
• explore different epistemological and methodological approaches to the study of spirituality;
• introduce comparative perspectives and insights drawn from different cultures and/or professional practice settings;
• aim to apply and develop sustained reflection, investigation and critique in relation to spirituality and spiritual practices;
• critically examine the values and presuppositions underpinning different forms of spirituality and spiritual practices;
• incorporate different forms of writing and expressions of spirituality.

Journal for the Study of Spirituality includes:

• Research papers based on completed research or substantial work-in progress (epistemological and methodological approaches should be clarified for the benefit of readers from different disciplines and cultures);
• Scholarly articles exploring understandings of spirituality, including within professional practice settings;
• Critically reflexive and/or autoethnographic accounts of the experience or practice of spirituality;
• Critique/discussion papers designed to generate debate from one issue to the next;
• Book reviews of recent publications;
• Occasional review essays focussing on established texts in the field;
• Reports of recent relevant conferences;
• Brief summaries of completed doctoral theses in the field (online only).
