Journal of Spirituality in Mental Health

ISSN: 1934-9637eISSN: 1934-9645

The Journal of Spirituality in Mental Health is an interdisciplinary professional journal (retiled from American Journal of Pastoral Counseling to better reflect its broader scope) that is devoted to the scholarly study of spirituality as a resource for counseling and psychotherapeutic disciplines. This peer-reviewed quarterly journal seeks to enhance the understanding of spirituality as a core component of human well-being in individual, relational, and communal life. Leading authorities provide insights into research and effective therapy in an interdisciplinary dialog that crosses the disciplines of psychology, spirituality, theology, sociology, cultural analysis, and other fields. The Journal of Spirituality in Mental Health is a crucial forum that provides deeper insight into human meaning-making within therapeutic and growth-fostering activity. The primary spiritual experience is explored as it occurs either for practitioners or clients, with an examination of therapeutic meanings. Expert contributors explore the impact of cultural life patterns within issues of race and gender, ethnicity, sexuality, and relational structures as they contribute to both human wholeness, and to its loss and therapeutic recovery. This journal is challenging, inspirational, and superbly beneficial to all who desire perspectives and ideas extending beyond their own scope and field of focus. Peer Review Policy: All research articles in the Journal have undergone peer review based on initial editor screening, and anonymous refereeing by at least two anonymous double-blind referees. Publication office: Taylor & Francis, Inc., 325 Chestnut Street, Suite 800, Philadelphia, PA 19106.

International journal of Sports Science & Coaching

ISSN: 1747-9541eISSN: 2048-397X

The International Journal of Sports Science & Coaching is a peer-reviewed, international, academic/professional journal, which aims to bridge the gap between coaching and sports science. The journal will integrate theory and practice in sports science, promote critical reflection of coaching practice, and evaluate commonly accepted beliefs about coaching effectiveness and performance enhancement. Open learning systems will be promoted in which: (a) sports science is made accessible to coaches, translating knowledge into working practice; and (b) the challenges faced by coaches are communicated to sports scientists. The vision of the journal is to support the development of a community in which: (i) sports scientists and coaches respect and learn from each other as they assist athletes to acquire skills by training safely and effectively, thereby enhancing their performance, maximizing their enjoyment of the sporting experience and facilitating character development; and (ii) scientific research is embraced in the quest to uncover, understand and develop the processes involved in sports coaching and elite performance. The journal will publish peer-reviewed, original papers representing a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methods. Case studies of work between sports scientists and coaches are especially encouraged. The journal also encourages the submission of papers, including advocacy pieces, which may have been presented in a forum or special interest group at a conference; and philosophical works that address connections between sports science and coaching. The peer review process is open, meaning that both authors and referees know each other's identity. Such a process, with its transparency, is in tune with the mission of the Journal.

Journal of Business Finance & Accounting

ISSN: 0306-686XeISSN: 1468-5957

The Journal of Business Finance and Accounting exists to publish high quality research papers in accounting, finance and their interface. The interface is especially apparent in the areas of corporate governance, financial reporting and communication, financial performance measurement and managerial reward and control structures. A feature of the Journal is that it recognises that informational problems are pervasive in financial markets and business organisations, and that accounting plays an important role in resolving such problems. The Journal welcomes both theoretical and empirical contributions. Nonetheless, theoretical papers should yield novel testable implications, and empirical papers should be theoretically well-motivated. The Editors view accounting and finance as being closely related to economics and, as a consequence, papers submitted will often have theoretical motivations that are grounded in economics. The Journal, however, also seeks papers that complement economics-based theorising with theoretical developments originating in other social science disciplines or traditions. While many papers in the Journal use econometric or related empirical methods, the Editors also welcome contributions that use other empirical research methods.Although the scope of the Journal is broad, the Journal is not a suitable outlet for highly abstract mathematical papers, or empirical papers with inadequate theoretical motivation. Also, papers that study asset pricing, or the operations of financial markets, should have direct implications for one or more of preparers, regulators, users of financial statements, and corporate financial decision-makers, or at least should have implications for the development of future research relevant to such users. All article submissions should be made online - see the author guidlines for further information.

Journal of Child Sexual Abuse

ISSN: 1053-8712eISSN: 1547-0679

The Journal of Child Sexual Abuse is interdisciplinary and provides an essential interface for researchers, academicians, attorneys, clinicians, and practitioners. The journal advocates for increased networking in the sexual abuse field, greater dissemination of information and research, a higher priority for this international epidemic, and development of effective assessment, intervention, and prevention programs.Divided into sections to provide clear information, the journal covers research issues, clinical issues, legal issues, prevention programs, case studies, and brief reports, focusing on three subject groups - child and adolescent victims of sexual abuse or incest, adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse or incest, and sexual abuse or incest offenders. Research, treatment approaches and techniques, prevention, intervention, and other programs concerning any of these groups are general categories of the published articles and brief reports. The articles emphasize applying research, treatment, and interventions to practical situations so the importance of the results will be clear. The Journal of Aggression, Maltreatment, and Trauma, the Journal of Child and Adolescent Trauma, and the Journal of Child Sexual Abuse are all edited by Dr. Robert Geffner. If you are interested in submitting an article but are uncertain about which journal your article may be best suited for, please contact the editor at journals@alliant.edu. Peer Review Policy: All articles have undergone anonymous double-blind peer review. Publication office: Taylor & Francis, Inc., 325 Chestnut Street, Suite 800, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
