The Japanese Journal of Ophthalmology (JJO) was inaugurated in 1957 as a quarterly journal published in English by the Ophthalmology Department of the University of Tokyo, with the aim of disseminating the achievements of Japanese ophthalmologists worldwide. JJO remains the only Japanese ophthalmology journal published in English. In 1997, the Japanese Ophthalmological Society assumed the responsibility for publishing the Japanese Journal of Ophthalmology as its official English-language publication. Currently the journal is published bimonthly and accepts papers from authors worldwide. JJO has become an international interdisciplinary forum for the publication of basic science and clinical research papers. We encourage authors to submit original papers in all fields of ophthalmology.

The Journal of Economic Perspectives (JEP) attempts to fill a gap between the general interest press and most other academic economics journals. The journal aims to publish articles that will serve several goals: to synthesize and integrate lessons learned from active lines of economic research; to provide economic analysis of public policy issues; to encourage cross-fertilization of ideas among the fields of thinking; to offer readers an accessible source for state-of-the-art economic thinking; to suggest directions for future research; to provide insights and readings for classroom use; and to address issues relating to the economics profession. Articles appearing in the journal are normally solicited by the editors and associate editors. The AAPS Journal is an online-only journal publishing peer-reviewed scholarly reviews, themed issues and research articles within the entire scope of the pharmaceutical sciences encompassed by the AAPS membership. The Journal particularly aims to foster the dissemination of scientific information presented at AAPS-sponsored meetings, workshops and symposia, through the publication of invited reviews in themed issues. Additionally, guest editors are invited to organize special themed issues on scientific subjects of current interest. Topics covered in the journal include diabetes, nutrition and obesity, metabolism, thyroid disease, bone and parathyroid disease, lipid and cardiovascular health, pituitary, gonad, adrenal, neuroendocrine disorders, reproductive health and fertility, health care delivery, endocrine surgery, quality improvement and education. The journal welcomes hypotheses generating research, pilot studies, as well as negative and confirmatory studies. Special issues will focus on emerging topics in endocrinology and diabetes.
