The International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction addresses the cognitive, social, health, and ergonomic aspects of interactive computing. It emphasizes the human element in relation to the systems in which humans function, operate, network, and communicate, including software, hardware, and their various contexts of use. The journal publishes original articles including reviews and reappraisals of the literature, empirical studies, and quantitative and qualitative contributions to the theories of HCI. The International Journal of Neonatal Screening (IJNS) is the official journal of the International Society for Neonatal Screening (ISNS). IJNS is also the official journal of the German Society for Neonatal Screening (DGNS). IJNS aims to improve the knowledge of the natural course of target diseases for newborn screening, as well as the knowledge about methods used in newborn screening laboratories. IJNS also seeks to improve the communication between newborn screening laboratories worldwide, and to distribute technical notes and improvement of existing screening methods and assays. IJNS is a peer-reviewed open access online journal, which will serve as the unique and universal platform for all newborn screening relevant topics of interest to: pediatricians specialised in inborn errors of metabolism, pediatric endocrinologists, pediatric pneumologists, pediatric immunologists, clinical chemists, biochemists, molecular biologists, geneticists, genetic counselors, neonatologists, public health authorities & specialists.

JMIR Medical Education (JME) is an open access, PubMed-indexed, peer-reviewed journal with focus on technology, innovation and openess in medical education. Another focus is on how to train health professionals to use digital tools. We publish original research, reviews, viewpoint and policy papers on innovation and technology in medical education. As an open access journal we have special interest in open and free tools and digitial learning objects for medical education, and urge authors to make their tools and learning objects freely available (we may also publish them as Multimedia Appendix). We also invite submissions of non-conventional articles (eg, open medical education material and software resources that are not yet evaluated but free for others to use/implement).

Epidemiology and Infection publishes original reports and reviews on all aspects of infection in humans and animals. Particular emphasis is given to the epidemiology, prevention and control of infectious diseases. The scope includes the zoonoses, tropical infections, food hygiene, vaccine studies, statistics and the clinical, social and public-health aspects of infectious disease. It has become the key international periodical in which to find the latest reports on recently discovered infections and new technology. For those concerned with policy and planning for the control of infections, the papers on mathematical modelling of epidemics caused by historical, current and emergent infections will be of particular value.

EJN publishes original research articles and reviews in the broad fields of molecular, cellular, systems, behavioral, and cognitive neurosciences. EJN aims to advance our understanding of the nervous system in health and disease, thereby improving the diagnosis and treatment of neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders. Papers should present novel results that can be of interest to a broad spectrum of neuroscientists and that were generated by experiments guided by clearly defined aims or hypotheses. Highly specialized articles that provide only limited new insights into the organization and function of the nervous system, or describe results too specialized for a generalist neuroscience journal may be considered outside the scope of EJN. Congenital Heart Disease: Clinical Studies from Fetus to Adulthood is a new, clinical journal focusing on congenital heart disease in children and adults. Though the number of infants born with heart disease each year is relatively small (approximately 1% of the population), advances in the treatment of such malformations have led to increased life spans for this population. Consequently, in the United States today most patients treated for congenital heart disease are over the age of 20. What are the special needs of adults with congenital heart disease? What are the latest developments in the care of the fetus, infants, and children? Who should treat these patients? How should they be treated?.

Current Topics in Nutraceutical Research (ISSN 1540-7535) is an international, interdisciplinary broad based peer reviewed scientific journal for critical evaluation of research on nutraceuticals. The major goal of this journal is to provide peer reviewed unbiased scientific data to students, researchers, healthcare providers, and the decision makers in the nutraceutical industry to help make informed choices about nutraceuticals. To this end, the journal will publish two types of review articles. First, a review of preclinical research data coming largely from animal, cell culture and other experimental models. Biomedizinische Technik / Biomedical Engineering (BMT) is a high-quality forum for the exchange of knowledge in the fields of biomedical engineering, medical information technology and biotechnology/bioengineering. BUILDING RESEARCH & INFORMATION (BRI) is a leading international refereed journal focussed on buildings and their supporting systems.
