Acta Ophthalmologica is the official scientific publication of the five Nordic ophthalmological societies: The Danish Ophthalmological Society, The Finnish Ophthalmological Society, The Icelandic Ophthalmological Society, The Norwegian Ophthalmological Society and The Swedish Ophthalmological Society, and also the European Association for Vision and Eye Research (EVER).

DNA Research is an internationally peer-reviewed journal which aims at publishing papers of highest quality in broad aspects of DNA and genome-related research. Emphasis will be made on the following subjects: 1) Sequencing and characterization of genomes/important genomic regions, 2) Comprehensive analysis of the functions of genes, gene families and genomes, 3) Techniques and equipments useful for structural and functional analysis of genes, gene families and genomes, 4) Computer algorithms and/or their applications relevant to structural and functional analysis of genes and genomes. The journal also welcomes novel findings in other scientific disciplines related to genomes.The Journal was launched in 1994 by Kazusa DNA Research Institute for publication of fine research in the growing field of genomic research. The online version of the journal was launched in 2000, and the journal has ever since been proud of providing the journal open access. DNA Research continues to provide its online journal open access at a very low author charge.

The Journal of Textile Design Research and Practice aims to create a forum to facilitate, stimulate and disseminate research in the domain of textile design and practice. 

Encompassing a range of approaches, disciplines and outcomes, the journal publishes submissions from the following areas: research through textile designing and making; research informed by textiles; and research for textile design education - encompassing pedagogic studies into the development of textile designers, practitioners and researchers.

Within these areas, the journal is interested in the following: interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary approaches and the role of collaboration; relationships between traditional and contemporary practices; the application of new and traditional technologies and materials from both technical and aesthetic perspectives; sustainable textile practices, interfaces between research and industry; pedagogy for the education and continuing professional development of textile designers and practitioners; new research methods in the field with illustrative case studies; and the textile design process including the role of drawing and the significance of craft.

Submissions

The Journal of Textile Design Research and Practice invites submissions in the following categories:

• academic research papers (approximately 5,000 – 8,000) words;
• practitioner interviews or studies (approximately 6,000) words;
• position papers and reports of research currently in progress (approximately 3,000 words);
• book and exhibition reviews (approximately 500 – 2,000 words).

In the first instance, please send abstracts (200 – 300 words) to Dr Faith Kane ( f.e.kane2@lboro.ac.uk).  If your proposal fits within the scope of the journal, you will be invited to submit a full article which will be double blind peer reviewed.

The journal also welcomes proposals from Guest Editors for themed special issues.

AJAR is an online Open Access peer-reviewed journal for all kinds of design research and scholarly research within the architectural field, and has been set up by the Architectural Research European Network Association (ARENA) network. It welcomes the submission of essays by doctoral students and younger researchers as well as by established architects and academics. BMJ Connections Oncology aims to be a leading international journal for peer-reviewed cancer research, bridging clinical practice, scientific research, and translational applications. It welcomes submissions in areas such as clinical research, scientific research, translational research, review articles, and practice and policy. The journal seeks studies that provide insights into cancer diagnosis, treatment, and management, and those that enhance understanding of cancer biology and molecular mechanisms. It emphasizes the importance of translational research that moves discoveries from the lab to clinical settings.

Cancer Prevention Research, the newest journal from the American Association for Cancer Research, is devoted exclusively to cancer prevention. The journal publishes important original studies, reviews, and perspectives within the major topic areas of oncogenesis, risk factors and risk assessment, early detection research, and chemopreventive and other interventions, including the basic science behind them. Cancer Prevention Research comprises preclinical, clinical and translational research, with special attention given to molecular discoveries and an emphasis on building a translational bridge between the basic and clinical sciences.

Scandinavian Economic History Review publishes articles and reviews in the broad field of Nordic economic, business and social history.The journal also publishes contributions from closely related fields, such as history of technology, maritime history and history of economic thought. Articles dealing with theoretical and methodological issues are also included.The editors aim to reflect contemporary research, thinking and debate in these fields, both within Scandinavia and more widely. The journal comprises a broad variety of aspects and approaches to economic and social history, ranging from macro economic history to business history, from quantitative to qualitative studies.The journal has been published since 1952 by the Scandinavian Society of Economic and Social History.

Advances in Operations Research is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research articles as well as review articles in all areas of operations research.

Anthropological Theory is an international peer reviewed journal seeking to strengthen anthropological theorizing in different areas of the world. AT encourages work at a high level of conceptual analysis, and addresses substantive issues such as nationalism, language and representation, material culture, transnationalism, globalization, sexuality, race and difference, gender, violence, migration, religion and political economy.

Viticulture Data Journal (VDJ) is an innovative open access peer-reviewed journal which facilitates the publication of data, research articles and other research objects in the area of viticulture. The journal is focussed on submissions documenting the following outcomes of the research cycle: data, models, software, data analytics pipelines and visualisation methods in viticulture research area.

Viticultural research covers a wide range of topics, from genetic research, food safety of viticultural products to climate change adaptation of grapevine varieties through grape specific research. China Journal of Accounting Research, founded by the Sun Yat-sen University of China and the City University of Hong Kong, focuses on publishing empirical research papers that use contemporary research methodologies to investigate issues about accounting, finance, auditing and corporate governance in China, The China Circle and other emerging markets.The Journal also publishes insightful commentaries about China-related accounting research. The Journal encourages the application of economic and sociological theories to analyse and explain accounting issues within the legal and institutional framework of China, and to describe accounting issues under Chinese capital markets accurately and succinctly.The published research articles of the Journal will enable scholars to extract relevant issues about accounting, finance, auditing and corporate governance relate that to the capital markets and institutional environment of China.

Challenges (ISSN 2078-1547) is a unique international scientific open access journal. It publishes scholarly content which is typically not publishable in traditional research journals, such as research proposals (funded and unfunded), research plans (e.g., a protocol for a systematic review, further research of a technology application, etc.), research or technology ideas, policy studies relating to science and scholarly research, open contests aiming at solving grand challenges, prize announcements, description of prototypes, calls for or description of international research collaborations or complementary support, etc. Manuscripts submitted to Challenges must comply with the highest scientific standards and will be peer-reviewed before a decision regarding possible publication in the journal is made. For funded research proposals, the peer-review process will be skipped and manuscripts published after copy-editing and with comments from the grant review attached, if available. In addition, authors will benefit from discounts on possible publication charges if they subsequently submit papers related to the research project to other MDPI journals.

Founded in 1964, the Journal of Vascular Research provides a platform of rigorous, cutting-edge research in vascular and microvascular biology, physiology, and pathophysiology for basic science and translational researchers.
