The journal of English philology, Anglia, was founded in 1878 by Moritz Trautmann and Richard P. Wülker, and is thus the oldest journal of English studies. Anglia covers a large part of the expanding field of English philology. It publishes essays on the English language and linguistic history, on English literature of the Middle Ages and the Modern period, on American literature, the newer literature in the English language, and on general and comparative literary studies, also including cultural and literary theory aspects. Further, Anglia contains reviews from the areas mentioned.

Animal Biology publishes high quality papers and focuses on integration of the various disciplines within the broad field of zoology. These disciplines include behaviour, developmental biology, ecology, endocrinology, evolutionary biology, genomics, morphology, neurobiology, physiology, systematics and theoretical biology. Purely descriptive papers will not be considered for publication. Animal Biology is the official journal of the Royal Dutch Zoological Society since its foundation in 1872. The journal was initially called Archives Néerlandaises de Zoologie, which was changed in 1952 to Netherlands Journal of Zoology, the current name was established in 2003.

Health: is a broad ranging, interdisciplinary, peer reviewed journal related to health and the social sciences. Welcome to Art Journal’s new website. JPRAS Open will provide the most current source of information and references in plastic, reconstructive & aesthetic surgery. Kew Bulletin is an international peer-reviewed journal for the taxonomy, systematics and conservation of vascular plants and fungi. Papers on conservation, evolution, palynology, cytology, anatomy, biogeography and phytochemistry are considered, where relevant to taxonomy and systematics. Review papers on topics appropriate to the journal are invited. The journal is richly illustrated with line drawings and photographs, and also features a Book Review and Notices section. Four parts (c. 640 pp) are published each year.

The British Journal of Ophthalmology (BJO) is an international peer-reviewed journal for ophthalmologists and visual science specialists describing clinical investigations, clinical observations, and clinically relevant laboratory investigations related to ophthalmology. Main features include articles on both clinical and laboratory sciences, up to date major reviews, editorials, education articles and letters. According to its subheading, »Der Staat« is a »Journal for the Theory of the State, Constitutional History and German and European Public Law«. Instead of an ahistorical approach, »Der Staat« describes and analyses its object as to what it has become, the conditions of its creation, existence and development, its concrete achievements and endangerments, as well as in the comparison with the understanding of the state and state actions in other countries today especially within the European context. The Journal of Anthropological Sciences (JASs) is the official publication of the Istituto Italiano di Antropologia (ISItA). It is the continuation of the Atti della Società Romana di Antropologia (from 1893 to 1910) and Rivista di Antropologia (until 2003). The JASs publishes original articles, notes and reviews concerning all aspects of evolutionary anthropology (primatology, human paleontology, prehistory, biology and genetics of extinct and extant populations), with particular attention towards interdisciplinary approaches. The Journal of Clinical Hypertension is a peer-reviewed, monthly publication that serves family practitioners, internists, and cardiologists by providing objective, up-to-date information and practical recommendations on the treatment of hypertension. As newer studies are completed, they are summarized and critiqued. Reviews of recent publications in other journals and original papers that focus on the clinical management of hypertension are featured.
