1. Vision Research is a journal devoted to the functional aspects of human, vertebrate and invertebrate vision and publishes experimental and observational studies, reviews, and theoretical papers firmly based upon the current facts of visual science. Vision Research also accepts experimental studies in which clinical material has been used to address an issue of basic research interest, or where basic research methods have been used to address an issue of clinical importance, or where basic research may have, as yet unapplied, clinical relevance, as far as mechanisms of function or dysfunction of the visual system are concerned. The words clinical and vision sciences should be interpreted in the broadest sense, as represented by the areas of expertise of the members of the Editorial Board. Papers reporting detailed investigations are encouraged and authors should be advised to include enough background material in the introduction of their papers so that they are comprehensible to the non-specialist. The purpose of theoretical papers is to give a higher sense of order to the facts as they are presently known, or to point to new observations which can be verified experimentally. Papers dealing with questions in the history of visual science should lay stress upon the history of ideas in this field. Vision Research has always welcomed the broadest interpretation of visual science.2. Vision Research also welcomes mini reviews. A mini review is not intended to be a comprehensive history of the subject, but rather a survey of recent developments in fast-growing and active areas of vision research covering only the last few years.3. Letters to the Editor: If in response to a published article a letter to the Editor is received, this letter will be sent out for review and at the same time be forwarded to the author(s) tackled. If the letter is accepted, the author(s) of the initial paper will be invited to write a reply within a short period of time, and the reviewers of the letter will be asked to review the reply.4. Obituaries: Vision Research has a restrictive Obituary policy. Obituaries should be submitted to the appropriate Section Editor and the Chairman, and should not exceed a length of one printed page including photograph.5. Special non-recurrent symposia may be published in Vision Research. Symposium organizers are requested to contact the Chairman. The decision is made by the Editorial Board of Vision Research at the annual meeting during ARVO.6. Starting from 1995, Journal of Environmental Engineering was published instead of proceedings from the previous research Environmental Protection of Vilnius Technical University (2 issues since 1993). For the period of 1995-1998, 6 issues were published (2 issues per year). From 1998, Journal of Environmental Engineering started to be published in volumes (1 volume, 4 issues per year). Since 2003, the Journal has been published under its current title - Journal of Environmental Engineering and Landscape Management - (1 volume, 4 issues per year) with proceeded issue numeration accepting the articles in English and Lithuanian.

The Archaeological Journal  is the prestigious peer-reviewed publication of the Royal Archaeological Institute. The Indo-Iranian Journal, founded in 1957, focuses on the ancient and medieval languages and cultures of South Asia and of pre-islamic Iran. It publishes articles on Indo-Iranian languages (linguistics and literatures), such as Sanskrit, Avestan, Middle Iranian and Middle & New Indo-Aryan. It publishes specialized research on ancient Iranian religion and the Indian religions, such as the Veda, Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism (including Tibetan). The journal welcomes epigraphical studies as well as general contributions to the understanding of the (pre-modern) history and culture of South Asia. Illustrations are accepted. A substantial part of Indo-Iranian Journal is reserved for reviews of new research. Twice a year it contains a detailed bibliography of all publications received. The Journal predominantly publishes articles in English and occasionaly in French and German.

The Internal Medicine Journal, formerly known as the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Medicine, is the official journal of the Adult Medicine Division of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP). Its purpose is to publish high-quality internationally competitive peer-reviewed original medical research, both laboratory and clinical, relating to the study and research of human disease. Papers will be considered from all areas of medical practice and science. The Journal also has a major role in continuing medical education and publishes review articles relevant to physician education. Except where otherwise stated, articles are peer reviewed.

The International Journal of Language & Communication Disorders (IJLCD) is the official journal of the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists. The Journal welcomes submissions on all aspects of speech, language, communication disorders and speech and language therapy. It provides a forum for the exchange of information and discussion of issues of clinical or theoretical relevance in the above areas. The Journal, established in 1966, publishes a range of articles, including research reports, reviews, discussions and clinical fora, as well as editorials or commentaries commissioned by the editors. The Journal of Computer and System Sciences International is the leading scientific journal of the Russian Academy of Sciences in all areas of control theory and systems. The Journal of Histochemistry and Cytochemistry is an established cell biology journal that includes primary research articles, timely reviews, editorials and perspectives on the structure and function of cells, tissues and organs. This includes research into mechanisms of development, differentiation, and disease. High priority is given to submissions where imaging techniques are complemented by current genetic, molecular, and biochemical approaches. The Journal of Histochemistry and Cytochemistry welcomes concise review articles, especially those that address key issues in methodology. The journal continues to publish new developments in microscopy and imaging. Purely descriptive studies of gene or molecular expression also will be considered, particularly where supported by experimental data to generate mechanistic insights into cell or tissue function.

Journal of Innovation and Entrepreneurship is a peer-reviewed open access journal published under the brand SpringerOpen. It presents current academic research and practical findings, investigating why some regions grow as others stagnate, and measuring effects and implications in the context of historical evolution and geographical location. Coverage includes innovation and entrepreneurship in such emerging markets as China, India, Russia and Latin America.  The Journal addresses questions driving policy and decision-making at the company, industry, national and regional levels: How does progress occur? What processes and institutions are involved? How are new businesses created? What cultural traits foster or impede innovation?
