Journal of Texture Studies: A Journal for Food Oral Processing Research

ISSN: 0022-4901eISSN: 1745-4603

The Journal of Texture Studies is a peer-reviewed international journal historically specialized in the texture and sensory perception of food and other consumer products. The journal was first published in 1969 and has been the primary source for disseminating advances in all sciences related to physical characterization and sensory perception of texture, in particular in areas such as food rheology and microstructure, tactile senses and texture perception, texture features and material attributes (composition, structure, and processing), food oral consumption, and studies associated with eating and sensory appreciation. With the ever expanding research interests of texture studies and increasing cross-disciplinary research with the allied health industries, the Journal has redefined its scope to better reflect the broadened research activities and interests associated with texture and sensory perception. Recent developments in the discipline reveal a greater awareness of the essential role of oral and brain processes in texture and perception. Beyond the traditional subject matter of the journal, the editors welcome research articles, research notes, review papers, and discussion papers from contributors of food physics, oral physiology, sensory psychology, and other relevant disciplines. Some key areas/topics includes (but not limited to):• Rheology, fracture mechanics, and microstructure in relation to texture, flavor and processing• Modeling and simulation of eating processes• Oral receptors and texture perception• Oral tribology• Food-saliva interactions• Measuring and quantifying texture attributes instrumentally and by panels• Novel techniques and optimization of instrumental tests• Psychophysics and psychorheology• Receptor responses and sensory perception in the brain• Food design and engineering for enhanced oral experience and for vulnerable consumersThe Journal also accepts reviews of books particularly pertinent to the field.

Learning in Context

ISSN: 3050-578X

The journal of the European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction (EARLI)
Learning in Context offers opportunities to disseminate relevant research on teaching and on learning, as evidenced through the experiences and perspectives of key actors and participants.   We welcome studies originating from contexts across the lifecourse, ranging from formal school settings, higher education, workplace settings, and informal learning situations.  The emphasis is on situated accounts of individual, institutional, cultural, and societal dimensions of learning.   This may address the processes of teaching and learning, and in particular, the relations, dynamics and temporality in such processes.

The journal welcomes studies which report empirical research and theoretical analyses, including those adopting interdisciplinary frameworks. The journal creates space for dissemination of high-quality studies on learning and teaching that employ qualitative approaches (narrative, interaction, discursive analyses, phenomenography, grounded theory, case studies, design-based research; formative interventions etc.) and mixed method studies.

Before submitting an article to Learning in Context, please check that your article is in line with the Aims and Scope. Articles may be up to 10,000 words (excluding references and appendices) to allow for the greater number of words required to report qualitative research with rigour. However, we do also expect authors to write succinctly. Please also read the Learning in Context Guiding Principles for Qualitative Research. We recognise the diversity of ways of researching using qualitative research methods but feel these principles reflect a common set of expectations which maintain the integrity and rigour of research reporting. Each article must be accompanied by a CRediT statement, using the guidance here. Finally, please make sure that you have read the full Guide for Authors, particularly the guidance on Ethics, Change of Authorship, and the use of inclusive language.

Educational Research for Policy and Practice

ISSN: 1570-2081eISSN: 1573-1723

Educational Research for Policy and Practice, the official journal of the Asia-Pacific Educational Research Association, aims to improve education and educational research in Asia and the Pacific by promoting the dissemination of high quality research which addresses key issues in educational policy and practice. Therefore, priority will be given to research which has generated a substantive result of importance for educational policy and practice: to analyses of global forces, regional trends and national educational reforms: and to studies of key issues in teaching, learning and development - such as the challenges to be faced in learning to live together in what is the largest and most diverse region of the world. With a broad coverage of education in all sectors and levels of education, the Journal seeks to promote the contribution of educational research, both quantitative and qualitative, to system-wide reforms and policy making on the one hand, and to resolving specific problems facing teachers and learners at a particular level of education in the Asia-Pacific region on the other.

Education systems worldwide face many common problems as global forces reshape our institutions and lives, while at the same time, the research and problems facing education in Asia and the Pacific reflect its rich cultural and scholarly traditions as well as specific economic and social realities. Educators and researchers can learn from significant investigations, reform programmes, evaluations and case studies of innovations in countries and cultures other than their own. One purpose of this Journal is to make such investigations within the Asian-Pacific region more widely known.

Order

ISSN: 0167-8094eISSN: 1572-9273

This journal presents original research concerning the theory and applications of ordered sets. It covers all theoretical aspects of the subject, with emphasis on research in algebra and lattice theory, combinatorics and set systems, directed and undirected graphs, computational and discrete geometry, theoretical computer science, and the theory of sets and relational structures. In addition, Order presents applications of order-theoretic methods in these mathematical areas and in more algorithmically oriented research in computing and operations research. It offers coverage that is broadly representative of the best research on ordered structures and their applications. Given the wide scope of the journal, prospective authors are asked to identify a member [or members] of the editorial board whose research interests are closest to the contents of the submission. This helps to ensure both that submissions fit the journal's scope and that the review process begins efficiently.
