Pure metals and metal-based materials form the backbone of engineering and biomedical sectors in context of end products. In terms of properties, they bridge the gap between that of polymers and ceramics and hence have created a niche for themselves over many centuries. In view of the tremendous importance and potential of metal-based materials, this journal attempts to bring forth the recent developments and innovations to all materials where pure metals, alloys or their composites play the key role in defining the properties of interest or as required by end application(s). Accordingly, topics of interest (not limited to) will be as follows:

The International Journal of Methods in Psychiatric Research (MPR) publishes high standard original research of a technical, methodological, experimental and clinical nature, contributing to the theory, methodology, practice and evaluation of mental and behavioral disorders. The journal targets in particular detailed methodological and design papers from major national and international multicenter studies. There is a close working relationship with the US National Institute of Mental Health, the World Health Organization (WHO) Diagnostic Instruments Committees as well as several other European and international organizations. MPR aims at the rapid publication of articles of highest methodological quality in such areas as epidemiology, biostatistics, generics, psychopharmacology, psychology and the neurosciences. Articles informing about innovative and critical methodological, statistical and clinical issues, including nosology can be submitted as regular papers and brief reports. Reviews are only occasionally accepted. MPR seeks to monitor, discuss, influence and improve the standards of mental health and behavioral neuroscience research by providing a platform for rapid publication of outstanding contributions. As a quarterly journal MPR is a major source of information and ideas and is an important medium for students, clinicians and researchers in psychiatry, clinical psychology, epidemiology and the allied disciplines in the mental health field.

International Journal of Microbiology is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research articles as well as review articles in all areas of microbiology.

International Journal of Migration, Health and Social Care (IJMHSC) is a double blind peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary journal focusing on how international migration relates to health and social care issues, including mental health.

The International Journal of Mineral Processing covers all aspects of the processing of solid-mineral materials such as metallic and non-metallic ores, coals and other solid sources of secondary materials, etc. Topics dealt with include: comminution, sizing, classification (in air and water), gravity concentration, flotation, electric and magnetic separation, miscellaneous physical separation techniques, mixing and blending, thickening, filtering, drying, storage, transport, agglomeration, pyrometallurgy and hydrometallurgy (when applied to low-grade raw materials), biohydrometallurgy (when applied to low-grade raw materials), biometallurgy (use of bacteria and other living organisms), testing, control and automation, waste treatment and disposal and mineralogical studies (when related to beneficiation). International Journal of Minerals, Metallurgy and Materials (formerly known as Journal of University of Science and Technology Beijing) is an international journal devoted to publishing original research articles (and occasional invited reviews) on all aspects of minerals processing, physical metallurgy, process metallurgy, and materials science and processing. Coverage is well-rounded from minerals characterization and developments in extraction to the fabrication and performance of materials. The journal welcomes articles on the relationships among the processing, structure and properties of minerals, metals, and materials. Specific areas of interest are nano materials, new metallic materials, advanced ceramics, metallic matrix composites, functional materials and more.

International Journal of Mining Science and Technology is an English-language journal. Previously entitled Journal of China University of Mining and Technology, it was founded in 1990 and publishes original and forefront research papers and high quality reviews covering recent advances in all fields of mining sciences and technologies. Environmental issues specially identified for coverage include: Environmental impact assessment and permitting; mining and processing technologies; waste management and waste minimization practices; mine site closure, decommissioning and reclamation; acid mine drainage.
