International Journal of Turbo and Jet Engines

ISSN: 0334-0082eISSN: 2191-0332

The editor takes the bulk of the financial risks of publishing. The profits go mainly to the broadcaster and distributor of books, which are responsible, to canvass the booksellers and take their orders as well as routing the books to bookstores, to fill orders taken. These operations cost the publisher between 50 and 60% of turnover generated by the book. The rest of sales goes to the author (about 10% share of this figure much lower, around 6% for comic books, and can reach 20% or more for best sellers) and the publisher, who can pay, in addition to its employees (editorial assistants, press officers, charged with manufacture, designer, etc..), the entire work of the book (printers, proofreaders, freelance photographers, possibly librarians, etc.. ). The publisher who coordinates the course of the "book chain" and, often, which also establishes the financial plan incorporating the expected costs and expected gains, as in any business.

International Journal of Unconventional Computing

ISSN: 1548-7199eISSN: 1548-7202

The International Journal of Unconventional Computing offers the opportunity for rapid publication of theoretical and experimental results in non-classical computing. Specific topics include but are not limited to:*physics of computation (e.g. conservative logic, thermodynamics of computation, reversible computing, quantum computing, collision-based computing with solitons, optical logic)* chemical computing (e.g. implementation of logical functions in chemical systems, image processing and pattern recognition in reaction-diffusion chemical systems and networks of chemical reactors)* bio-molecular computing (e.g. conformation based, information processing in molecular arrays, molecular memory)*cellular automata as models of massively parallel computing* complexity (e.g. computational complexity of non-standard computer architectures; theory of amorphous computing; artificial chemistry)*logics of unconventional computing (e.g. logical systems derived from space-time behavior of natural systems; non-classical logics; logical reasoning in physical, chemical and biological systems)*smart actuators (e.g. molecular machines incorporating information processing, intelligent arrays of actuators)* novel hardware systems (e.g. cellular automata VLSIs, functional neural chips)*mechanical computing (e.g. micromechanical encryption, computing in nanomachines, physical limits to mechanical computation). Both theoretical and experimental contributions are invited. The editors of the International Journal of Unconventional Computing invite your contributions.

International Journal of Urban Sustainable Development

ISSN: 1946-3138eISSN: 1946-3146
DOAJ Logo

International Journal of Urban Sustainable Development aims to provide a forum for cutting edge research and rigorous debate for in-depth and holistic understanding of the complex inter-related environmental, social, economic, political, spatial, institutional and physical challenges facing urban areas. Its premise is that multi-disciplinary approaches provide the space for the range of disciplines and perspectives related to the full breadth of issues that affect urban sustainable development. The journal also aims to enhance knowledge and understanding of the two-way interactions between urbanization processes and patterns and environmental changes at the local, regional, and global scales. In addition to mitigation and adaptation concerns these also include related social and economic issues such as the impacts of globalisation and financial crises, evidence-based liveability versus utopian planning principles, restoring dignity to the marginalized beyond mere participation, environmental justice and sustainable resource utilisation. The Journal, thus, seeks to connect theory and practice in ways that are useful to academics, policy makers, community activists and professionals who are concerned with or engaged in building and governing cities in ways that enhance environmental viability and foster urban equity and well being and engender economic vibrancy and political accountability.International Journal of Urban Sustainable Development is fully peer reviewed. It publishes original research and review papers. It also includes important think pieces and position papers by prominent scholars and practitioners in the broader field of urban sustainable development. It has a global reach covering cities and towns of different sizes, cultures and economies in the North and the South. It strives to bring together views and experience from industrially developed, developing and transition countries for mutual learning. Authors from developing and transition economies are particularly encouraged to submit papers.DisclaimerTaylor & Francis make every effort to ensure the accuracy of all the information (the "Content") contained in its publications.
