The Journal of Sedimentary Research publishes the most recent advances in basic research in the study of sediments. Research papers in this international journal are concerned with both ancient and modern sediments. Areas of specialty include petrology, petrography, diagenesis of sedimentary deposits and sediments, processes of sedimentation, characterization of depositional systems and environments, stratigraphy, sedimentary tectonics, sedimentary basin studies, sedimentary geochemistry, sedimentary mineralogy, coal geology, orbital forcing, paleosols, carbonate platforms, hydrocarbon reservoirs, and evaporite sedimentology. JSR also features discussions and replies to previously published papers and online book reviews. First published by SEPM - Society for Sedimentary Geology in 1931, it is the oldest earth science journal dedicated to the field of sedimentology. Now in its 74th year, JSR continues its long tradition of publishing papers that become benchmark contributions to sedimentary geology.
Publish original scientific studies in Seed Science and Technology, promote Brazilian and international agriculture and the advances in these areas.
The Journal of Seismology is an international journal specializing in all observational and theoretical aspects related to earthquake occurrence. The editors approach Seismology as a broad interdisciplinary effort, with well balanced observational, modeling and applied aspects. Topics include seismotectonics, seismicity, historical seismicity, seismic source physics, strong ground motion studies, seismic hazard or risk, engineering seismology, physics of fault systems, triggered and induced seismicity, mining seismology, volcano seismology, earthquake prediction, structural investigations ranging from local to regional and global studies with a particular focus on passive experiments. The journal publishes short communications as well as extended review papers.
Journal of Semantics aims to be the premier journal in semantics. It covers all areas in the study of meaning, with a focus on formal and experimental methods. The Journal welcomes submissions on semantics, pragmatics, the syntax/semantics interface, cross-linguistic semantics, experimental studies of meaning (processing, acquisition, neurolinguistics), and semantically informed philosophy of language.
Journal of Semiconductors publishes articles that emphasize semiconductor physics, materials, devices, circuits, and related technology.
The Journal of Semitic Studies was established in 1955 and since then has built up a reputation as one of the leading international academic journals in its field. Semitic Studies has always been understood by the editors to include the modern as well as the ancient Near (Middle) East, with special emphasis on research into the languages and literatures of the area. The editors continue to maintain the policy of ensuring that each volume contains items of interest to Orientalists and Biblical Scholars. Extensive reviews of selected books, as well as general review notices, remain a feature of the Journal.
Journal of Sensor and Actuator Networks (ISSN 2224-2708) is an international open access journal on the science and technology of sensor and actuator networks. It publishes regular research papers, reviews (including comprehensive reviews on complete sensor and actuator networks), and short communications. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. The full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced. There are, in addition, unique features of this journal: Manuscripts regarding research proposals and research ideas will be particularly welcomed. Electronic files and software regarding the full details of the calculation and experimental procedure, if unable to be published in a normal way, can be deposited as supplementary material.
Journal of Sensors is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research and review articles related to all aspects of sensors, from the theory and design of sensing devices to the applications of sensors.
The Journal of Sensory Studies is the only ISI-ranked, multi-disciplinary journal to focus on observational and experimental studies in the application of sensory science to food, nutrition, personal care, cosmetics, textiles/fabrics, winery, and healthcare across the range of consumer products. The purpose of the Journal of Sensory Studies is to promote technical and practical advancements in sensory science, a multidisciplinary area that includes food science and technology, psychology/psychophysics, statistics, biology of basic taste, consumer science, material science (textiles/fabrics), marketing research, and other allied areas. Readers in academia, food and beverage companies, personal care product companies, wineries, and ingredient companies depend on this journal for the latest information on experimental design methods, quality control, and statistical analysis of data on human reactions.
The Journal of Separation Science (JSS) is the most comprehensive source in separation science, as all areas of chromatographic and electrophoretic separation methods are covered. This includes fundamentals, instrumentation and applications, both in analytical and preparative mode. A Tradition of Excellence: JSS continues the tradition of excellence set by the Journal of High Resolution Chromatography (HRC) and - since 2002 - the Journal of Microcolumn Separations (JMS). Journal Features & Highlights:
