The Journal of the Optical Society of America A (JOSA A) is devoted to developments in any field of classical optics, image science, and vision. JOSA A includes original peer-reviewed papers on such topics as atmospheric optics, image processing, scattering and coherence theory, machine vision, statistical optics, diffraction and gratings, polarization, thin films, signal processing, color, physiological optics, clinical vision, and visual optics.

The Journal of the Optical Society of America B (JOSA B) is a general optics research journal that complements JOSA A. It emphasizes research on the fundamentals of the interaction of radiation with matter such as quantum optics, nonlinear optics, and laser physics. Philosophy of history is a rapidly expanding area. There is growing interest today in: what constitutes knowledge of the past, the ontology of past events, the relationship of language to the past, and the nature of representations of the past. These interests are distinct from – although connected with – contemporary epistemology, philosophy of science, metaphysics, philosophy of language, and aesthetics. Hence we need a distinct venue in which philosophers can explore these issues. Journal of the Philosophy of History provides such a venue.

The JPS provides a forum for discussion of philosophical issues - metaphysical, ethical, epistemological, aesthetic, or otherwise - arising in sport, games, play, dance, embodiment, and other motor-related activities.
