Applied AI Letters is an open access journal publishing concise artificial intelligence communications at speed. Edited by experts from across research and industry, we publish incisive, rigorous, short papers that use AI to solve real-world challenges. Our highly interdisciplinary articles demonstrate how AI can tackle problems and create opportunities across sectors and industries, from healthcare and pharmaceuticals to security, infrastructure and beyond. The scope includes deep learning models, knowledge representation techniques, Industry 4.0, security and ethical considerations, and challenge areas.
Since its launch in 1968, Applied Acoustics has been publishing high quality research papers providing state-of-the-art coverage of research findings for engineers and scientists involved in applications of acoustics in the widest sense.Applied Acoustics looks not only at recent developments in the understanding of acoustics but also at ways of exploiting that understanding. The Journal aims to encourage the exchange of practical experience through publication and in so doing creates a fund of technological information that can be used for solving related problems. The presentation of information in graphical or tabular form is especially encouraged. If a report of a mathematical development is a necessary part of a paper it is important to ensure that it is there only as an integral part of a practical solution to a problem and is supported by data. Applied Acoustics encourages the exchange of practical experience in the following ways: • Complete Papers • Short Technical Notes • Review Articles; and thereby provides a wealth of technological information that can be used to solve related problems.Manuscripts that address all fields of applications of acoustics ranging from medicine and NDT to the environment and buildings are welcome. An indication of the breadth of coverage is given by the titles of Special Issues since 2004: • Sound shielding in the presence of turbulence • Musical Acoustics • Urban Acoustics • Innovative Applications of Materials for Acoustic Purposes • Detection and localization of marine mamals using passive acoustics • Time-domain modelling in outdoor sound propagation • Application of Acoustics to Medicine • Head-Related Transfer Function and its Applications.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. This journal publishes relevant information on the behaviour of domesticated and utilized animals.Topics covered include:Behaviour of farm, zoo and laboratory animals in relation to animal management and welfareBehaviour of companion animals in relation to behavioural problems, for example, in relation to the training of dogs for different purposes, in relation to behavioural problemsStudies of the behaviour of wild animals when these studies are relevant from an applied perspective, for example in relation to wildlife management, pest management or nature conservationMethodological studies within relevant fieldsThe principal subjects are farm, companion and laboratory animals, including, of course, poultry. The journal also deals with the following animal subjects:Those involved in any farming system, e.g. deer, rabbits and fur-bearing animalsThose in ANY form of confinement, e.g. zoos, safari parks and other forms of displayFeral animals, and any animal species which impinge on farming operations, e.g. as causes of loss or damageSpecies used for hunting, recreation etc. may also be considered as acceptable subjects in some instancesLaboratory animals, if the material relates to their behavioural requirements

The journal also acts as a medium for exchanging ideas and thoughts about impacts of AI research. Articles highlight advances in uses of AI systems for solving tasks in management, industry, engineering, administration, and education; evaluations of existing AI systems and tools, emphasizing comparative studies and user experiences; and the economic, social, and cultural impacts of AI. Papers on key applications, highlighting methods, time schedules, person-months needed, and other relevant material are welcome.Publication office: Taylor & Francis, Inc., 325 Chestnut Street, Suite 800, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
This journal is devoted to publishing the highest quality innovative papers in the fields of biochemistry and biotechnology. The typical focus of the journal is to report applications of novel scientific and technological breakthroughs, as well as technological subjects that are still in the proof-of-concept stage. Applied Biochemistry and Biotechnology provides a forum for case studies and practical concepts of biotechnology, utilization, including controls, statistical data analysis, problem descriptions unique to a particular application, and bioprocess economic analyses. The journal publishes reviews deemed of interest to readers, as well as book reviews, meeting and symposia notices, and news items relating to biotechnology in both the industrial and academic communities. In addition, Applied Biochemistry and Biotechnology often publishes lists of patents and publications of special interest to readers.
Applied Biochemistry and Microbiology (Prikladnaya biokhimiya i mikrobiologiya) publishes original articles in biochemistry and microbiology of present or potential practical applications. The scope of the journal includes studies of enzymes; mechanisms of enzymatic reactions; biosynthesis and biogenesis of physiologically active compounds and the pathways of their regulation; biocatalysis in organic synthesis; and metabolic engineering. In addition to experimental studies the journal publishes invited reviews.
Applied Catalysis A: General publishes novel papers on all aspects of catalysis of basic and practical interest to chemical scientists in both industrial and academic fields. The scope of Applied Catalysis A: General includes the following:Scientific understanding of any catalytic phenomenon. Phenomena of relevance to current industrial processes, processes under industrial development or of interest for future commercial applications are particularly welcome. Heterogeneous, homogeneous and biocatalysis are included. Research investigating catalytic actions of heterogeneous, homogeneous, biological and natural systems are especially encouraged.Scientific aspects of preparation, activation, aging, deactivation, rejuvenation, regeneration and start up transient effects of commercially interesting or representative model catalysts.Scientific methods of characterization of catalysts, especially if they are applicable to industrial catalysts.Chemical engineering aspects relevant to an improved understanding of catalytic phenomena or application to catalysis. Results involving a joint approach by chemical engineering and catalytic science are particularly welcome.New catalysts, catalytic reactions, catalytic routes and processes of potential practical interest.Catalysis and catalytic processes for sustainable practices, including sustainable energy supply and consumption processes, and sustainable chemicals production. The journal accepts original Research Papers, Reviews, invited Perspective articles and Letters to the Editor.
Applied Catalysis B: Environmental welcomes original, novel and high-impact contributions from the following fields:Catalytic elimination of environmental pollutants, such as nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, sulfur compounds, chlorinated and other organic compounds, and soot emitted from stationary or mobile sourcesBasic understanding of catalysts used in environmental pollution abatement, especially as applied to industrial processesAll aspects of preparation, characterization, activation, deactivation and regeneration of novel and commercially applicable environmental catalystsNew catalytic routes and processes for the production of clean energy, such as in hydrogen generation via catalytic fuel processing; and new catalysts and electrocatalysts for fuel cellsCatalytic reactions in which wastes are converted to useful productsClean manufacturing replacing toxic chemicals with environmentally friendly catalystsScientific aspects of photocatalytic processes and basic understanding of photocatalysts as applied to environmental problemsNew catalytic combustion technologies and catalystsThe journal will accept original Research Papers, Reviews and Letters to the Editor.
