Brain

ISSN: 0006-8950eISSN: 1460-2156

Brain provides researchers and clinicians with the finest original contributions in neurology. Leading studies in neurological science are balanced with practical clinical articles. Its citation rating is one of the highest for neurology journals, and it consistently publishes papers that become classics in the field. The Editorial Board reflects both the journal's truly international readership and wide coverage.Brain is using the latest technology to speed up the publication process and add greater functionality to the published papers. Papers are now submitted online, and manuscripts are posted online weeks in advance of their appearance in the printed issue. This means you can read the best research without delay, and your papers can start being cited even more rapidly than before.

Brain Mechanisms

ISSN: 3050-6433eISSN: 3050-6425

Brain Mechanisms is dedicated to advancing the boundaries of neuroscience by providing a comprehensive platform for the dissemination of cutting-edge research on the dynamic processes underlying brain function and dysfunction. Our mission is to foster a deeper understanding of the intricate mechanisms of nervous systems through high-quality, integrative, and transdisciplinary research. We aim to bridge gaps across various levels of explanation, from molecular and cellular interactions during development to complex behavioral and cognitive functions, including emotional regulation and consciousness. By doing so, we pave the way for breakthroughs in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of brain disorders.

Brain Research Bulletin

ISSN: 0361-9230eISSN: 1873-2747
DOAJ Logo

The Brain Research Bulletin (BRB) aims to publish novel work that advances our knowledge of cellular and molecular mechanisms that underlie neural network properties associated with brain function and behavior and plastic changes occurring in the healthy nervous system or that is linked to neurological and neuropsychiatric diseases. The BRB is especially interested in studies investigating in vivoneural functions using novel methodologies, such as optogenetics, multielectrode array recordings and life imaging. Although clinical research is out of the Journal's scope, the BRB is interested in publishing translation research that provides insight into biological mechanisms and processes affected in disease, such as the use of animal models for neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders. Accordingly, studies on drugs with novel targets and actions are also of interest.Manuscripts should use a combination of experimental approaches to address at least two of the general areas aforementioned; research that is exclusively descriptive in nature will not be considered for publication. For example, manuscripts describing changes in RNA or protein expression patterns alone are not appropriate for publication but can be considered if they include experiments that investigate the function of those proteins or how changes in their expression levels may be related to behavior, plasticity or neurotransmission. In addition, studies that exclusive report on the association of genetic polymorphism with disease, but fail to include additional experiments demonstrating alterations in the gene's expression or to address potential biological mechanisms relevant to the disease, will not be viewed favorably by the Journal.Brain Research Bulletin offers simple electronic submission, accelerated peer-review, rapid publication and high quality color production with no expense to authors. Section Editors are committed to work closely with authors to provide constructive assistance to enhance visibility and impact of published articles.US National Institutes of Health (NIH) voluntary posting ("Public Access") policyBrain Research Bulletin and Elsevier facilitate the author's response to the NIH Public Access Policy.
