The journal’s scope includes systems at all scales8212;from molecules, pathways, cells, and tissues to whole organisms, populations, and ecosystems8212;and a diversity of traditional disciplines, including but not limited to microbiology, cancer, immunology, plant biology, computational biology, genomics, proteomics, translational medicine, digital healthcare, biological engineering, and systems and synthetic biology.

In addition to peer-reviewed research, Cell Systems publishes Reviews, Previews, and Commentaries covering research topics and broader societal issues related to the scope of the journal. Through services that rise to the challenges inherent in quantitative system-scale studies, the journal aims to publish and facilitate research for our communities of readers and authors.

Cell Transplantation publishes original, peer-reviewed research and review articles on the subject of cell transplantation and its application to human diseases. To ensure high-quality contributions from all areas of transplantation, separate section editors and editorial boards have been established. Articles deal with a wide range of topics including physiological, medical, preclinical, tissue engineering, and device-oriented aspects of transplantation of nervous system, endocrine, growth factor-secreting, bone marrow, epithelial, endothelial, and genetically engineered cells, among others. Basic clinical studies and immunological research papers are also featured. To provide complete coverage of this revolutionary field, Cell Transplantation will report on relevant technological advances, and ethical and regulatory considerations of cell transplants. Cell Transplantation is now an Open Access journal starting with volume 18 in 2009, and therefore there will be an inexpensive publication charge, which is dependent on the number of pages, in addition to the charge for color figures. This will allow work to be disseminated to a wider audience and also entitle the corresponding author to a free PDF, as well as prepublication of an unedited version of the manuscript.

Cell and Tissue Banking provides a forum for disseminating information to scientists and clinicians involved in the banking and transplantation of cells and tissues. Cell and Tissue Banking is an international, peer-reviewed journal that publishes original papers in such areas as quality assurance and control of banked cells and tissues; preservation and sterilization methods; clinical applications of banked cells and tissues; standards of practice in procurement, processing, storage and distribution; and ethical and medico-legal issues. Research is presented in the form of full-length papers describing original work; short communications for rapid publication; and mini- and full-length reviews of topical issues.

The journal publishes papers on vast aspects of cell research, including morphology, biochemistry, biophysics, genetics, molecular biology, immunology. The journal accepts original experimental studies, theoretical articles suggesting novel principles and approaches, presentations of new hypotheses, reviews highlighting major developments in cell biology, discussions. The main objective of the journal is to provide a competent representation and integration of research made on cells (animal and plant cells, both in vivo and in cell culture) offering insight into the structure and functions of live cells as a whole. Characteristically, the journal publishes articles on biology of free-living and parasitic protists, which, unlike Metazoa, are eukaryotic organisms at the cellular level of organization.

Cell and Tissue Research presents regular articles and reviews in the areas of molecular, cell, and supracellular biology. In particular, the journal provides a forum for publishing data that analyze the supracellular, integrative actions of gene products and their impact on the formation of tissue structure and function. Articles emphasize structure-function relationships as revealed by recombinant molecular technologies. Areas of research with a long-standing tradition of publishing in Cell & Tissue Research include: neurobiology, neuroendocrinology, endocrinology, reproductive biology, skeletal and immune systems, and development.

Cells (ISSN 2073-4409) is an international, peer-reviewed open access journal which provides an advanced forum for studies related to cell biology, molecular biology and biophysics. It publishes reviews, research articles, communications and technical notes. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. Full experimental and/or methodical details must be provided. There are, in addition, unique features of this journal: manuscripts regarding research proposals and research ideas will be particularly welcomed electronic files or software regarding the full details of the calculation and experimental procedure - if unable to be published in a normal way - can be deposited as supplementary material we also accept manuscripts communicating to a broader audience with regard to research projects financed with public funds

Cellular & Molecular Biology Letters focuses on research at the interface of cellular and molecular biology, and also on the fields of biochemistry, biophysics and biotechnology. The range of coverage includes cellular compartments, the cell cycle and its regulation, cell differentiation, stem cells, cell traffic, signaling, motility, adhesion and division, the cellular membranes, the cytoskeleton, nuclear architecture, gene expression, and molecular biotechnology. Since its founding in 1996, at the University of Wroclaw, Poland, Cellular & Molecular Biology Letters has served as an international journal: a vehicle for the publication of research and review articles on achievements in cell and molecular biology, and related disciplines. Scope: Cellular Logistics covers the organization of the flow of molecules, information and energy to their destinations, inside and outside of cells.

During the past two decades, the extremely dynamic cell biology field has made tremendous progress in identifying molecular machinery components, elucidating mechanisms and revealing their regulation. This information forms the basis for the emerging new discipline of cellular logistics. Cellular logistics is key for multiple biological processes, such as cell polarity, signaling and development, and is highly relevant to human health.

Aims: Cellular Logistics provides a platform for presenting and discussing cutting-edge research on all aspects of cellular logistics by a multidisciplinary community of scientists.

Cellular Logistics topics include:
• Compartments and pathways: compartment biogenesis, maturation and propagation
• Mechanisms: building molecular machines, translocation across and transport between membranes, vesicle formation and coats, compartment and vesicle motility, tethering and fusion

Cellular Microbiology aims to publish significant contributions on the intersection of microbial and host-cell biology that strongly advance understanding of unique biological processes and mechanisms. The scope includes the host cell responses and interactions elicited by prokaryotic, viral, fungal and parasitological microorganisms that illuminate exploitation of host cell structures, function and signalling pathways, and may include modulation or alteration of immune responses. Mechanistic insight obtained through robust biochemical, genetic, cellular, and bioimaging technologies are expected to support observational data. In addition to mammalian and plant systems, papers addressing other hosts such as invertebrate systems are encouraged. Because viruses are inherently dependent upon the host cell, virology-based submissions to Cellular Microbiology should advance knowledge of the interaction of viruses and host cells.
