Water Research X is a gold open access journal.

The Editors and editorial process for Water Research X are the same as for Water Research, providing the same reputable peer-review and high standards.

New articles should be submitted to the Editorial Board of Water Research who will handle the peer review for both Water Research and Water Research X. The author choice of access model will be blinded to the Editors, ensuring the same editorial rigor as for Water Research.

Water Research X publishes refereed, original research papers on all aspects of the science and technology of water quality and its management worldwide. A broad outline of the journal's scope includes:

Water Resources and Industry moves research to innovation by focusing on the role industry plays in the exploitation, management and treatment of water resources.
Different industries use radically different water resources in their production processes, while they produce, treat and dispose a wide variety of wastewater qualities. Depending on the geographical location of the facilities, the impact on the local resources will vary, pre-empting the applicability of one single approach.

The aims and scope of the journal include:

• Industrial water footprint assessment - an evaluation of tools and methodologies
• What constitutes good corporate governance and policy and how to evaluate water-related risk
• What constitutes good stakeholder collaboration and engagement
• New technologies enabling companies to better manage water resources
• Integration of water and energy and of water treatment and production processes in industry

This new title follows the Universal Access model. Publication charges are waived for authors from developing countries eligible under http://research4life.org/eligibility/Research4Life criteria for access.

Much of the water diverted from streams and reservoirs, or pumped from aquifers, worldwide, is used in agriculture. And much of humanity earns its living through some connection with agriculture - either directly as a farmer or farm worker, or indirectly in one of the many endeavours that support farming activities. Thus, water plays a critical role in providing livelihood opportunities and sustaining the health and welfare of rural families around the world.Water resources and rural development publishes papers describing the role of water resources in supporting livelihood activities in rural areas. Our primary interest is in the impacts of water resources policy and management on rural livelihoods and household welfare. Thus, we welcome analyses of natural resource policies and other policies, outside the direct scope of natural resources, which influence the ways in which land, water, and other resources are allocated and used. We welcome also analyses of the importance of water resources in agriculture and in efforts to sustain or enhance environmental amenities. We recognize and encourage discussion also of the many ways in which water resources enhance rural livelihoods outside the scope of agriculture. For example, we welcome papers that describe issues pertaining to water's role in alleviating poverty and enhancing food security, drinking water supply, water quality, health impacts, wastewater reuse, multiple use systems, and other topics, provided there is an evident link to livelihoods.

WSE focuses on new concepts, theories, methods, and techniques related to water issues. The published papers cover the latest research in the fields of water science, water engineering, water resources, water environment, water ecology, and water management, with emphases placed on the innovation and applicability of science and technology in large-scale hydropower project construction, large river and lake regulation, inter-basin water transfer, hydroelectric energy development, ecological restoration, the development of new materials, and sustainable utilization of water resources.

Wave Motion is devoted to the cross fertilization of ideas, and to stimulating interaction between workers in various research areas in which wave propagation phenomena play a dominant role. The description and analysis of wave propagation phenomena provides a unifying thread connecting diverse areas of engineering and the physical sciences such as acoustics, optics, geophysics, seismology, electromagnetic theory, solid and fluid mechanics.The journal publishes papers on analytical, numerical and experimental methods. The primary aim of WOMAN is to help raise awareness of clinicians and other healthcare professionals, for example, midwives, nurses, and psychologists, and promote the integration of psychosomatic research into clinical practice in order to avoid reductionist approaches concentrating on purely somatic issues. The challenges faced by women in the 21st century require an innovative approach to health and disease taking both a biographical and a social dimension into account. Adequate psychosomatic therapy means personalised medicine.

This multidisciplinary journal serves as a link between clinical application and psychosomatic research in gynaecology and obstetrics. It also addresses a wide array of other medical disciplines related to women`s health and diseases, ranging from neuroscience to internal medicine.

WOMAN endeavours to provide a forum where clinicians and researchers, therapists and sociologists and other healthcare professionals can exchange views. Women's Studies International Forum (formerly Women's Studies International Quarterly, established in 1978) is a bimonthly journal to aid the distribution and exchange of feminist research in the multidisciplinary, international area of women's studies and in feminist research in other disciplines. The policy of the journal is to establish a feminist forum for discussion and debate.The journal seeks to critique and reconceptualize existing knowledge, to examine and re-evaluate the manner in which knowledge is produced and distributed, and to assess the implications this has for women's lives.We seek contributions from people, individually or collectively, from different countries and different backgrounds, who are engaged in feminist research inside or outside formal educational institutions.
