The design of industrial processes requires reliable thermodynamic data. CALPHAD (Computer Coupling of Phase Diagrams and Thermochemistry) aims to promote computational thermodynamics through development of models to represent thermodynamic properties for various phases which permit prediction of properties of multicomponent systems from those of binary and ternary subsystems, critical assessment of data and their incorporation into self-consistent databases, development of software to optimize and derive thermodynamic parameters and the development and use of databanks for calculations to improve understanding of various industrial and technological processes. This work is disseminated through the CALPHAD journal and its annual conference. The Canadian Journal of Cardiology (CJC) is the official journal of the Canadian Cardiovascular Society (CCS). The CJC is a vehicle for the international dissemination of new knowledge in cardiology and cardiovascular science, particularly serving as the major venue for Canadian cardiovascular medicine.The CJC publishes original reports of clinical and basic research relevant to cardiovascular medicine, as well as editorials, review articles, and case reports. Papers on health outcomes, policy research, ethics, medical history, and political issues affecting practice, as well as letters to the editor, are welcomed. The CJC accepts and publishes articles in the English language only. Manuscripts are received with the understanding that they are submitted solely to the Canadian Journal of Cardiology and that none of the material contained in the manuscript has been published previously or is under consideration for publication elsewhere, with the exception of abstracts. Cancer Treatment Communications is a new online only open access journal dedicated to publishing communications, case reports and other short form papers that report clinical research, improve clinical practice knowledge in oncology, or address the new challenges of cancer personalized medicine.Articles must be authentic, understandable, educational and clinically interesting to an international audience of medical and surgical oncologists, trainees and researchers in all oncology specialties, as well as clinicians in related fields.All articles submitted are peer reviewed and if accepted for publication, authors are notified of this decision and requested to pay an Article Processing Fee of US $600 / 458 Euro per article (exclusive of UK VAT at 20% which will be charged by Elsevier Ltd).
