China Journal of Accounting Research, founded by the Sun Yat-sen University of China and the City University of Hong Kong, focuses on publishing empirical research papers that use contemporary research methodologies to investigate issues about accounting, finance, auditing and corporate governance in China, The China Circle and other emerging markets.The Journal also publishes insightful commentaries about China-related accounting research. The Journal encourages the application of economic and sociological theories to analyse and explain accounting issues within the legal and institutional framework of China, and to describe accounting issues under Chinese capital markets accurately and succinctly.The published research articles of the Journal will enable scholars to extract relevant issues about accounting, finance, auditing and corporate governance relate that to the capital markets and institutional environment of China.

The vigorous growth of astronomical and astrophysical science in China led to an increase in papers on astrophysics which Acta Astronomica Sinica could no longer absorb. Chinese Chemical Letters was founded July 1990. The journal publishes preliminary accounts in the whole field of chemistry, satisfying a real and urgent need for the dissemination of research results, especially hot topics. In a way, it has become a channel to disseminate important chemical literature of China. For this purpose, articles in the journal are only written in English.The journal does not accept articles previously published or scheduled to be published. After publication of the communication in the journal, it can be expanded to a full paper and published else-where. Authors are requested to send papers of 2-4 pages. The purpose of CHM is to provide a forum for the studies on Chinese herbal medicines, traditional medicines, and natural products. The journal will accept the following contributions: research articles, review papers, short communications, letters to the editor, book reviews, conference announcements, and information, etc. The journal includes the studies on active ingredients and complex formulations of herb medicines in medicinal resource, phytochemistry, pharmacology, toxicology, pharmacokinetics, and therapeutic function by experimental and clinical trials. It is the interest of this journal to introduce the latest development in pharmaceutical sciences to readers.

The editorial committee is composed of 70 experts, among whom 12 are academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Social Sciences, and 38 are from the oversea areas. The honorary editor-in-chief is Pei-gen Xiao, an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering. The editor-in-chief is Chang-xiao Liu, an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, and the associate editors-in-chief are Prof. Shi-lin Chen, Prof. Thomas Efferth, Prof. De-an Guo, Prof. Pulok Kumar Mukherjee, Prof. Li-da Tang, and Prof. Guido F. Pauli.

Since foundation of CHM in 2009, it has been included in China Academic Journals Integrated Online Database, and Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) in USA, Index Copernicus (IC) in Poland, and Ulrich's Periodicals Directory (UPD) in USA domestically and abroad. In 2011, it can also be cited in Global Health and CAB Abstract. In 2013, CHM can also be indexed in EMBASE in Holland. The CAS report revealed that of all the 49 articles published in CHM in 2012, 31 papers were included in CAS.

Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry is a core scientific journal in China. It was awarded the Prize of First National Excellent Periodical Publication of China in 1999, and Special Prize of the Excellent Periodical Publication for Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2000, and the Prize of Third Excellent Periodical Publication of China Association for Science and Technology in 2002, and the Prize of Second National Excellent Periodical Publication of China in 2003. The Contents of the journal have been indexed and cited in more than 30 abstract or index publications and databases, such as Science Citation Index-Expanded (SCIE,USA), Chemical Abstracts (CA,USA), Current Bibliography on Science and Technology (Japan) and P ž (Russia) etc. Since 1994 the impact factors and the cited numbers of the journal were in the first rank in Chinese scientific journals from Chinese Journal Citation Report (CJCR), and the impact factors and the cited numbers of the journal in 1999 & 2000 ranked all the first in Chinese chemical journals, and the impact factor and the cited number of the journal in 2001 ranked the third and the second in Chinese chemical journals, respectively.

The scope of the Chinese Journal of Catalysis includes:

• New trends in heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysis in relation to energy, environment, petroleum chemicals and fine chemicals;
• Scientific bases for the preparation and activation of catalysts of commercial interest or that are representative models;
• Scientific methods for the characterization of heterogeneous catalysts, especially methods for in situ characterization;
• New heterogeneous and homogeneous catalytic reactions of potential practical interest in environment, energy, and fine chemicals applications;
• Relationship between homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis;
• Theoretical studies on the structure and reactivity of catalysts.

The journal also accepts contributions dealing with other issues related to catalysis, such as photo-catalysis, bio-catalysis, surface science and chemical kinetics.

The journal is abstracted and indexed by many databases, including Chemical Abstracts(USA), Science Citation Index-Expanded (USA), Chemistry Citation Index (USA), CurrentContents/Engineering, Computing and Technology (USA), Catalysts and Catalysed Reactions(UK), Methods in Organic Synthesis (UK), Natural Product Updates (UK), Cambridge Scientific Abstracts (USA), Japan Information Center of Science and Technology (Japan), Abstract Journals(Russia), and most of the important indexing systems in China.

Awarded and highly cited
The journal was awarded the First Class Prize for Excellent Periodicals of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2001 and the Second Class Prize in the National Journal Awards in 2005. In recent years, the journal has consistently been ranked in the top ten Chinese chemical journals as measured by the impact factor and total citations.

All manuscripts with significant research results in the areas of chemical engineering and its application are welcome. Four types of papers appear in the journal: Research Papers, Research Notes, Chemical Engineering Data and Reviews.
