The journal publishes papers on vast aspects of cell research, including morphology, biochemistry, biophysics, genetics, molecular biology, immunology. The journal accepts original experimental studies, theoretical articles suggesting novel principles and approaches, presentations of new hypotheses, reviews highlighting major developments in cell biology, discussions. The main objective of the journal is to provide a competent representation and integration of research made on cells (animal and plant cells, both in vivo and in cell culture) offering insight into the structure and functions of live cells as a whole. Characteristically, the journal publishes articles on biology of free-living and parasitic protists, which, unlike Metazoa, are eukaryotic organisms at the cellular level of organization.

Cell and Tissue Research presents regular articles and reviews in the areas of molecular, cell, and supracellular biology. In particular, the journal provides a forum for publishing data that analyze the supracellular, integrative actions of gene products and their impact on the formation of tissue structure and function. Articles emphasize structure-function relationships as revealed by recombinant molecular technologies. Areas of research with a long-standing tradition of publishing in Cell & Tissue Research include: neurobiology, neuroendocrinology, endocrinology, reproductive biology, skeletal and immune systems, and development.

Cellular & Molecular Biology Letters focuses on research at the interface of cellular and molecular biology, and also on the fields of biochemistry, biophysics and biotechnology. The range of coverage includes cellular compartments, the cell cycle and its regulation, cell differentiation, stem cells, cell traffic, signaling, motility, adhesion and division, the cellular membranes, the cytoskeleton, nuclear architecture, gene expression, and molecular biotechnology. Since its founding in 1996, at the University of Wroclaw, Poland, Cellular & Molecular Biology Letters has served as an international journal: a vehicle for the publication of research and review articles on achievements in cell and molecular biology, and related disciplines. The journal offers research articles and short communications, as well as mini-reviews and review articles on recent advances of interest to its readership.

Cellular & Molecular Immunology is a bimonthly journal from the Chinese Society of Immunology and the University of Science and Technology of China. Cellular Oncology publishes scientific contributions from various biomedical and clinical disciplines involved in basic and translational cancer research on the cell and tissue level, technical and bioinformatics developments in this area, and clinical applications. This includes a variety of fields like genome technology, micro-arrays and other high-throughput techniques, genomic instability, SNP, DNA methylation, signaling pathways, DNA organization, (sub)microscopic imaging, proteomics, bioinformatics, functional effects of genomics, drug design and development, molecular diagnostics and targeted cancer therapies, genotype-phenotype interactions. A major goal is to translate the latest developments in these fields from the research laboratory into routine patient management. The field of cellular and molecular bioengineering seeks to understand, so that we may ultimately control, the mechanical, chemical, and electrical processes of the cell.  A key challenge in improving human health is to understand how cellular behavior arises from molecular-level interactions.  CBME, an official journal of the Biomedical Engineering Society, publishes original research and review papers in the following seven general areas:

Cellular and Molecular Neurobiology publishes original research concerned with the analysis of neuronal and brain function at the cellular and subcellular levels. The journal offers timely, peer-reviewed articles that describe anatomic, genetic, physiologic, pharmacologic, and biochemical approaches to the study of neuronal function and the analysis of elementary mechanisms. Studies are presented on isolated mammalian tissues and intact animals, with investigations aimed at the molecular mechanisms or neuronal responses at the level of single cells. Cellular and Molecular Neurobiology also presents studies of the effects of neurons on other organ systems, such as analysis of the electrical or biochemical response to neurotransmitters or neurohormones on smooth muscle or gland cells.

Cellulose is an international journal devoted to the dissemination of research and scientific and technological progress in the field of cellulose and related naturally occurring polymers. The journal is concerned with the pure and applied science of cellulose and related materials, and also with the development of relevant new technologies. This includes the chemistry, biochemistry, physics and materials science of cellulose and its sources, including wood and other biomass resources, and their derivatives. Coverage extends to the conversion of these polymers and resources into manufactured goods, such as pulp, paper, textiles, and manufactured as well natural fibers, and to the chemistry of materials used in their processing. Central European Journal of Medicine (CEJMed) is an international journal presenting research results in all medical fields, with the aim of becoming the premier source of high quality research from Central and Eastern Europe.
