The purposes of Child Neuropsychology are to: * publish research on the neuropsychological effects of disorders which affect brain functioning in children and adolescents, * publish research on the neuropsychological dimensions of development in childhood and adolescence and * promote the integration of theory, method and research findings in child/developmental neuropsychology.The primary emphasis of Child Neuropsychology is to publish original empirical research. Theoretical and methodological papers and theoretically relevant case studies are welcome. Critical reviews of topics pertinent to child/developmental neuropsychology are encouraged. Emphases of interest include the following: information processing mechanisms; the impact of injury or disease on neuropsychological functioning; behavioral cognitive and pharmacological approaches to treatment/intervention; psychosocial correlates of neuropsychological dysfunction; definitive normative, reliability, and validity studies of psychometric and other procedures used in the neuropsychological assessment of children and adolescents. Articles on both normal and dysfunctional development that are relevant to the aforementioned dimensions are welcome. Multiple approaches (e.g., basic, applied, clinical) and multiple methodologies (e.g., cross-sectional, longitudinal, experimental, multivariate, correlational) are appropriate. Books, media, and software reviews will be published. The official journal of the International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery (ISPN) was founded in 1972 as Child's Brain. As of 1 January 1985, the Society changed publishers. The new official journal, Child's Nervous System has been expanded to encompass all aspects of the pediatric neurosciences: development and growth, degenerative disorders, hereditary diseases, neurology, neurosurgery, neurooncology, neurophysiology, and trauma. Original manuscripts are given priority for publication; the same applies to brief communications. Individual case reports are welcome but, if accepted for publication, the 'lag-time' before appearance in print may well exceed 7 months from the time the final manuscript is received by the appropriate geographic editor until publication. The Chinese Journal of Communication (CJoC) is a scholarly publication aimed at elevating Chinese communication studies along theoretical, empirical, and methodological dimensions, while contributing to the understanding of media, information, and communication phenomena around the world. This fully refereed journal is an important international platform for students and scholars in Chinese communication studies to exchange ideas and research results, both with each other and globally. Interdisciplinary in scope, it examines subjects in all Chinese societies in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Singapore, and the global Chinese diaspora, which, in total, account for a quarter of humanity. Cognitive Neuropsychology aims to promote the investigation of human cognition that is based on neuropsychological methods including brain pathology, recording, stimulation or imaging. The research can involve brain-lesioned or neurologically-intact adults, children or non-human animals as long as it makes an explicit contribution to our understanding of normal human cognitive processes and representations. Cognition is understood broadly to include the domains of perception, attention, planning, language, thinking, memory and action. The research may, additionally, contribute to issues regarding clinical populations and the neurobiology of cognition. Cognitive Systems Research covers all topics in the study of cognitive processes, in both natural and artificial systems.
