NOW ACCEPTED BY ISI The peer-reviewed Journal of Happiness Studies is devoted to scientific understanding of subjective well-being. Coverage includes both cognitive evaluations of life such as life-satisfaction, and affective enjoyment of life, such as mood level. In addition to contributions on appraisal of life-as-a-whole, the journal accepts papers on such life domains as job-satisfaction, and such life-aspects as the perceived meaning of life. The Journal of Happiness Studies provides a forum for two main traditions in happiness research: 1) speculative reflection on the good life, and 2) empirical investigation of subjective well-being. Contributions span a broad range of disciplines: alpha-sciences, philosophy in particular; beta-sciences, especially health related quality-of-life research; and gamma-sciences, including not only psychology and sociology but also economics. The journal addresses the conceptualization, measurement, prevalence, explanation, evaluation, imagination and study of happiness.

Access to JoHLSTE archive: Volumes 1 to 10 of JoHLSTE were published by the Higher Education Academy's Hospitality, Leisure, Sport & Tourism Network. Full text of these Volumes (encompassing the period 1992 to 2011) is freely available at http://www.heacademy.ac.uk/johlste/homeThe Journal of Hospitality, Leisure, Sport and Tourism Education (JoHLSTE) is the leading international, peer-reviewed educational journal for this subject grouping. Its aims are to:a) Promote, enhance and disseminate research, good practice and innovation in all aspects of higher education in Hospitality, Leisure, Sport and Tourism and Events to its prime audience including teachers, researchers, employers, and policy makers.b) Encourage greater understanding, links and collaboration across its constituent fields. JoHLSTE is designed to have maximum impact through it being available on-line, fully archived and peer-reviewed.JoHLSTE is divided into seven sections: Editorial; Academic Papers; Practice Papers, Perspectives, Comments and Rejoinders, Research Notes and Reports and Education Resource Reviews.(1) The Editorial addresses items of contemporary interest on an ad-hoc basis.(2) For the Academic Papers section JoHLSTE invites full-length manuscripts (around 8,000 words) from a variety of disciplines. These papers will be subject to double blind peer review. Subjects covered include the broad areas of knowledge, policy, curriculum, learning and teaching, assessment, resources, employability, careers and quality. Both conceptual and empirical approaches are welcome. Manuscripts may take the form of research papers, case studies, literature reviews, critical evaluations, new methodologies and action research. Purely descriptive accounts are not considered suitable.(3) The Practice Papers section encourages shorter contributions (around 3,000 words) from practicing teachers and others involved in the delivery of education and training including; employers, educational managers, staff developers and library and careers guidance staff. In particular, it encourages reflection on, and critical review of good (and bad) practice with a view to sharing experiences and promoting a "learning profession".(4) The Perspectives section offers a platform (around 1,000-2,000 words) for contributors to make an initial mapping of the issues surrounding a recent development in Hospitality, Leisure, Sport and Tourism education. As such it can act as an early stimulant for further research.(5) Comments and Rejoinders offers an opportunity for readers to comment on articles published in previous editions of the journal.(6) Research Notes and Reports, which are shorter report-style pieces and commentaries, will also be considered for publication.(7) Education Resource Reviews offer provide critiques of resources related to student learning or effective teaching. A wide range of resources may be reviewed, including textbooks, websites, CD-ROMs, videos, databases and articles.
The Journal of Immunological Methods is devoted to covering techniques for: (1) Quantitating and detecting antibodies and/or antigens. (2) Purifying immunoglobulins, lymphokines and other molecules of the immune system. (3) Isolating antigens and other substances important in immunological processes. (4) Labelling antigens and antibodies. (5) Localizing antigens and/or antibodies in tissues and cells. (6) Detecting, and fractionating immunocompetent cells. (7) Assaying for cellular immunity. (8) Documenting cell-cell interactions. (9) Initiating immunity and unresponsiveness. (10) Transplanting tissues. (11) Studying items closely related to immunity such as complement, reticuloendothelial system and others. (12) Molecular techniques for studying immune cells and their receptors. (13) Imaging of the immune system. (14) Methods for production or their fragments in eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells. In addition the journal will publish articles on novel methods for analysing the organization, structure and expression of genes for immunologically important molecules such as immunoglobulins, T cell receptors and accessory molecules involved in antigen recognition, processing and presentation. Submitted full length manuscripts should describe new methods of broad applicability to immunology and not simply the application of an established method to a particular substance - although papers describing such applications may be considered for publication as a short Technical Note. Review articles will also be published by the Journal of Immunological Methods. In general these manuscripts are by solicitation however anyone interested in submitting a review can contact the Reviews Editor and provide an outline of the proposed review.A Computational Methods Section reflects the increasingly central role of sophisticated statistical and mathematical methods and computational models in the analysis, visualization, interpretation of the results of techniques and investigations within the general scope of the Journal. These methods can generally be divided into data-driven Immunomics methods involving high throughput assays or model-driven methods that provide a framework for data analysis, visualization, and interpretation. Descriptions of high-quality immunological databases are also of interest. This Section will publish papers that present important advances to current practice or new "gold standards" for mathematical and computational methods and analyses in the field of immunology. Areas of interest reflect the general areas of interest of the Journal, particularly novel methods for analyzing the organization, structure and expression of genes and proteins of immunologically important molecules such as immunoglobulins, T cell receptors, and various accessory molecules involved in antigen recognition, processing, and presentation, and inflammation.
TheJournal of Industrial Ecologyaddresses a series of related topics:material and energy flows studies ("industrial metabolism") technological change dematerialization and decarbonization life cycle planning. design and assessment design for the environment extended producer responsibility ("product stewardship") eco-industrial parks ("industrial symbiosis") product-oriented environmental policy eco-efficiency Aims and Scope What is Industrial Ecology? Industrial ecology is a rapidly growing field that systematically examines local. regional and global materials and energy uses and flows in products. processes. industrial sectors and economies. It focuses on the potential role of industry in reducing environmental burdens throughout the product life cycle from the extraction of raw materials. to the production of goods. to the use of those goods and to the management of the resulting wastes. Industrial ecology is ecological in that it (1) places human activity -- industry in the very broadest sense -- in the larger context of the biophysical environment from which we obtain resources and into which we place our wastes. and (2) looks to the natural world for models of highly efficient use of resources. energy and byproducts. By selectively applying these models. the environmental performance of industry can be improved. Industrial ecology sees corporate entities as key players in the protection of the environment. particularly where technological innovation is an avenue for environmental improvement. As repositories of technological expertise in our society. corporations provide crucial leverage in attacking environmental problems through product and process design. About the Journal TheJournal of Industrial Ecologyaddresses a series of related topics: material and energy flows studies ("industrial metabolism") technological change dematerialization and decarbonization life cycle planning. design and assessment design for the environment extended producer responsibility ("product stewardship") eco-industrial parks ("industrial symbiosis") product-oriented environmental policy eco-efficiency Journal of Industrial Ecologyis open to and encourages submissions that are interdisciplinary in approach. In addition to more formal academic papers. the journal seeks to provide a forum for continuing exchange of information and opinions through contributions from scholars. environmental managers. policymakers. advocates and others involved in environmental science. management and policy. The journal welcomes submissions for any of the following editorial departments: Forum This section will publish papers related to the policy and strategic implications of industrial ecology as well as the conceptual development of the field. These papers are expected to be provocative and further the dialogue that will advance the development of industrial ecology. Research and Analysis This section include articles that report findings from primary research of a more traditional academic nature. Subjects can range from highly analytic to more policy-oriented. Topics would include analyses of materials flows. assessment of environmental improvement through technological change. development of eco-industrial parks. economic and institutional analysis. organizational studies related to the implementation of industrial ecology. and material choice determinants. Applications And Implementation This section contains articles describing practices springing from industrial ecological principles. Examples would include development of material or product loop-closing systems. introduction of industrial ecological principles or eco-efficiency into the product development cycle. competitive and financial opportunities arising out of industrial ecological practice. and the design and operation of eco-industrial parks. Articles describing government programs and policies that use industrial ecology as a basis for decisionmaking or that facilitate environmentally sound practices relevant to industrial ecology are also sought. Articles should be well-documented beyond mere description of a practice and should be explicitly related to current discussions in industrial ecology in order to provide grounding for others who are interested. Reviews Authors wishing to review current publications related to industrial ecology should contact the book review editor with their suggestions prior to submitting a manuscript.
The aim of the journal is to report novel scientific discoveries related to all biological processes in plants using integrative genetic, chemical, cell and molecular biological approaches to understand plants at micro- and macro-scale. Articles submitted to JIPB should fit in one of the following six themes: 1) Cell & Developmental Biology; 2) Metabolic Biology & Biochemistry; 3) Signal Transduction & Stress Response; 4) Systems Biology & Molecular Physiology; 5) Sexual Reproduction; and 6) Molecular Evolution & Ecology. Our primary focus is on providing the answers to significant plant biological questions and on the technologies essential for such studies. Preliminary observations, purely descriptive studies, tissue culture and transformation, and reporting on single plant-derived chemicals fall beyond the scope of the journal.

The Journal of Korean Studies was founded in 1969 by the Korean Studies Society. The first series had two issues: Volume 1 no. 1 (1969) and Volume 1 no. 2 (1971). In 1979, the second series began and volumes were published annually until 1992. Reinaugurated in 2004, the journal is now sponsored by the University of Washington Center for Korean Studies.
The Journal of Language and Politics (JLP) represents a forum for analysing and discussing the various dimensions in the interplay of language and politics. The basic assumption is that the language of politics cannot be separated from the politics of language. The notion of ’Political Discourse’ does not remain limited to the ’institutional’ field of politics (e.g. parliamentary discourse, election campaigns, party programmes, speeches, etc.) but opens to all linguistic manifestations that may be considered to be political, provided that it is convincingly argued what makes them ’political’. In order to illuminate new and old forms of political discourses inter- and transdisciplinary perspectives and elaborated linguistic methodologies have to complement each other.Articles should bring together sociological concepts, political theories, and historical analysis. Methodologies can be qualitative or quantitative and must be well grounded in linguistics or other relevant disciplines. They may focus on different dimensions (pragmatics, semantics, social cognition, semiotics) of political discourse. Since political discourses overlap with other discourses, e.g. economic and scientific discourses, perspectives of interdiscursivity and intertextuality are considered to be important. Articles based on ethnographic studies will be particularly welcome. The Journal of Language and Politics welcomes review papers of any research monograph or edited volume which takes a discourse-analytical approach to the study of language and politics, as broadly conceived above. If you are interested in reviewing any recent, relevant text please email Christopher.hartATnorthumbria.ac.uk and we can arrange for a copy to be sent to you.The Journal of Language and Politics is associated with the book series Discourse Approaches to Politics, Society, and Culture, edited by Ruth Wodak and Greg Myers. This journal is peer reviewed and indexed in: IBR/IBZ, International Political Science Abstracts, and in the following Thomson Reuters (ISI) services: Arts and Humanities Citation Index, Social Sciences Citation Index, Social Scisearch, Journals Citation Reports/Social Sciences Edition, Current Contents/Social and Behavioral Sciences, Current Contents/Arts & Humanities, European Reference Index for the Humanities, LLBA, TSA OnlineSample issue: JLP 7:1 .

The Journal of Leukocyte Biology (JLB) has its origins in the Journal of the Reticuloendothelial Society (JRES) and is today an increasingly highly recognized international journal reporting scientific advances in leukocyte biology. In 1922, Karl Albert Ludwig Aschoff (1866–1942) coined the term “reticuloendothelial system” (RES) [1]. The RES concept was introduced as early as 1914 by Kenji Kiyono (1855–1955). One of the most prominent characteristics of RES cells was their propensity for absorption and storage of vital stains in granular form that had been introduced into the blood in solution. .
