Acta Protozoologica is a quarterly journal that publishes current and comprehensive, experimental, and theoretical contributions across the breadth of protistology, and cell biology of Eukaryote microorganisms including: behaviour, biochemistry and molecular biology, development, ecology, genetics, parasitology, physiology, photobiology, systematics and phylogeny, and ultrastructure. It publishes original research reports, critical reviews of current research written by invited experts in the field, short communications, book reviews, and letters to the Editor.Faunistic notices of local character, minor descriptions, or descriptions of taxa not based on new (original) data, and purely clinical reports, fall outside the remit of Acta Protozoologica.

Published regularly since 1920, Acta Zoologica has retained its position as one of the world's leading journals in the field of animal organization, development, structure and function. Acta agriculturae Slovenica is a scientific journal published quarterly by the Agronomy, and the Zootechnical Departments of the Biotechnical Faculty, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Source of high quality research from the field of agronomy, zootechnics, applied biology and related fields from Slovenia and other countries.

acta ethologica publishes empirical and theoretical research papers, short communications, commentaries, reviews and book reviews in the field of ethology and related disciplines, with a strong concentration on the behavior biology of humans and other animals. The journal places special emphasis on studies integrating proximate (mechanisms, development) and ultimate (function, evolution) levels in the analysis of behavior. Advances in Nutrition (AN/Adv Nutr) publishes literature reviews focused on key findings and recent research in all areas of interest to nutritional scientists and biomedical researchers. This would include nutrition-related research efforts directed toward biochemical, molecular, and genetic studies utilizing experimental animal models, domestic animals and human subjects. The other major foci of the journal are in the clinical nutrition, epidemiology and public health and nutrition education. Review articles will focus on progress made during the past few years rather than research developments over a broad historical timeframe.
