The journal provides the reader with a thorough description of theoretical and applied aspects of trace elements in medicine and biology and is devoted to the advancement of scientific knowledge about trace elements and trace element species. Trace elements play essential roles in the maintenance of physiological processes. During the last decades there has been a great deal of scientific investigation about the function and binding of trace elements. The Journal of Trace Elements in Medicine and Biology focuses on the description and dissemination of scientific results concerning the role of trace elements with respect to their mode of action in health and disease and nutritional importance. Progress in the knowledge of the biological role of trace elements depends, however, on advances in trace elements chemistry. Thus the Journal of Trace Elements in Medicine and Biology will include only those papers that base their results on proven analytical methods. Also, we only publish those articles in which the quality assurance regarding the execution of experiments and achievement of results is guaranteed.
Journal of Vinyl and Additive Technology is a peer-reviewed technical publication for new work in the fields of polymer modifiers and additives, vinyl polymers and selected review papers. Over half of all papers in JVAT are based on technology of additives and modifiers for all classes of polymers: thermoset polymers and both condensation and addition thermoplastics. Papers on vinyl technology include PVC additives.
The Journal of Water Chemistry and Technology focuses on water and wastewater treatment, water pollution monitoring, water purification, and similar topics. It publishes the results of research covering a very broad range, including the structure of water and its fundamental properties; chemical, physicochemical and biological methods of water treatment; methods of water analysis; instrumentation for monitoring water quality; and automation and control of treatment processes and systems. Its main rubrics are theoretical principles of water conditioning and treatment technology; physical chemistry of water treatment processes; analysis of natural and wastewaters; water treatment and demineralization technology; and biological methods of water treatment. Many of the articles originate from the Institute of Colloid Chemistry and Water Chemistry (Ukrainian Academy of Sciences), which is well known for its contributions to the study of chemical and physicochemical water treatment processes.
Focusing exclusively on the chemistry of wood, wood components, and wood products, the Journal of Wood Chemistry and Technology covers the latest advances in areas such as lignin, cellulose, hemicellulose, and extractives chemistry; wood and bark chemicals; wood-based biomaterials synthesis and characterization; and biomass conversion or utilization. Publication office: Taylor & Francis, Inc., 325 Chestnut Street, Suite 800, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
The Journal of the American Chemical Society, founded in 1879, is the flagship journal of the American Chemical Society and the world’s preeminent journal of chemistry and interfacing areas of science. The journal considers submissions in core fields such as, but not limited to:
JAOCS, an AOCS journal, publishes original research articles, invited reviews, and letters to the editor that add significantly to the body of knowledge concerning the science and technology of fats, oils, oilseed proteins, and related materials. Included are reports of advances, innovations or important new information pertaining to analysis, properties, processing, products, and applications of these food and industrial resources. Breakthroughs in food science and technology, biotechnology (including biocatalysis and bioprocessing), and industrial products and applications are particularly appropriate. Publishing: original research papers, invited reviews and Letters to the Editor
To publish research papers in all fields of chemistry, except education, philosophy and history of chemistry
The Journal of The Electrochemical Society (JES) was launched in 1902 as the society's flagship journal, and publishes outstanding research covering fundamental and applied areas of electrochemistry, including experimental and theoretical aspects of electrodes, interfaces, and devices.
This international journal covers fundamental and applied research, including:Food - Health and Nutrition: Human and animal nutrition. Enhancing health and wellness with novel and functional foods, nutraceuticals (but not pharmaceuticals) or food supplementation. Evaluation, including chemical tests, animal models and in vitro, in vivo testing systems.Food Science and Technology: Development, production and processing of human food, animal food, and beverages. Measurement of food and ingredient characteristics and functionalities. Papers reporting simply antioxidant activity and those reporting the composition of foods that are not widely eaten outside a small geographical area will not generally be considered for publication.Food Safety: Microbiological food safety, including on-farm safety management, epidemiology of food-borne illness, novel process and packaging, and detection of food-borne pathogens. Food toxicology and safety evaluation of genetically modified organisms. Application of risk assessment and risk management techniques.Biotechnology: Applications of biotechnology to plants, animals and microorganisms as they relate to agriculture, food production and processing, and fermentation technology.Molecular Biology: Applications of genetic modification and molecular biology, bioinformatics and ‘omics’ technology to plants, animals and microorganisms as they relate to agriculture, food production and processing, and fermentation technology.Biochemistry: Novel insights into the chemistry and biochemistry of foods, feeds, ingredients and components, including macro-, micro- and non-nutrients, and also enzymes and other processing aids and functional ingredients. Research that addresses current issues within the agri-food area, for example functional foods in relation to health claims and safety.Materials and Processing: Food raw materials and quality. Food structure and physical properties. Physical description of processing and product properties of raw materials.
