The Journal of Analytical Toxicology (JAT) is a peer-reviewed international publication devoted to the timely dissemination of scientific communications concerning the isolation, identification, and quantitation of drugs and other potentially toxic substances. Since its inception in 1977, JAT has striven to present state-of-the-art techniques that address current issues in toxicology.With an emphasis on practical application, JAT articles introduce improved and novel techniques for use in clinical, forensic, workplace, sports testing (doping), and other toxicology laboratories. Articles describe newly developed methods in immunoassay testing, gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, atomic absorption spectrometry, solid- and liquid-phase extraction techniques, as well as other analytical approaches.The methods published in JAT describe the chemical analysis of drugs of abuse, pharmaceuticals, industrial chemicals, environmental toxins, chemical weapons, and sports doping agents in biological samples. The methods are generally applicable to therapeutic drug monitoring, abused drugs, clinical and forensic toxicology, workplace exposure, chemical warfare, and sports doping.

The Journal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology is an international journal that contains original research papers, rapid communications, mini-reviews, and book reviews, all focusing on the molecular mechanisms of action and detoxication of exogenous and endogenous chemicals and toxic agents. The scope includes effects on the organism at all stages of development, on organ systems, tissues, and cells as well as on enzymes, receptors, hormones, and genes. The biochemical and molecular aspects of uptake, transport, storage, excretion, lactivation and detoxication of drugs, agricultural, industrial and environmental chemicals, natural products and food additives are all subjects suitable for publication. Of particular interest are aspects of molecular biology related to biochemical toxicology. These include studies of the expression of genes related to detoxication and activation enzymes, toxicants with modes of action involving effects on nucleic acids, gene expression and protein synthesis, and the toxicity of products derived from biotechnology. Given the rapid development of the field of toxicology during the last few decades and the fundamental importance of biochemical mechanisms in all aspects of toxicology the Journal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology is of interest, not only to active investigators in the field but to many other scientists. These include other biochemists, molecular biologists, and toxicologists involved in industrial and contract research and testing laboratories, and those involved in legal and regulatory work related to toxic chemicals. The Journal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology is published bimonthly with one volume of 6 issues per calendar year.

The Journal of Environmental Radioactivity provides a coherent international forum for publication of original research or review papers on any aspect of the occurrence of radioactivity in natural systems.Relevant subject areas range from applications of environmental radionuclides as mechanistic or timescale tracers of natural processes to assessments of the radioecological or radiological effects of ambient radioactivity. Papers deal with naturally occurring nuclides or with those created and released by man through nuclear weapons manufacture and testing, energy production, fuel-cycle technology, etc. Reports on radioactivity in the oceans, sediments, rivers, lakes, groundwaters, soils, atmosphere and all divisions of the biosphere are welcomed, but these should not simply be of a monitoring nature unless the data are particularly innovative.Research papers are also included which, by either experimental or theoretical approaches, aim towards an improved understanding of the behaviour, transfer and distribution of environmental radionuclides. Predictive modelling is particularly encouraged. Papers on dating methods are acceptable if they have clear geophysical or geochemical significance. Descriptions of experimental methods should be both highly original and specifically related to determination of low-level environmental activities.The journal provides a vehicle for objective, open and peer-reviewed publication and discussion of the more controversial aspects of environmental radioactivity, including assessments of health effects, criteria for discharge control and options for ultimate disposal of nuclear wastes.Publication in this field is also encouraged in the related book series Radioactivity in the Environment designed to complement the coverage of the journal.

Journal of Environmental and Public Health is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research articles, review articles, and clinical studies in all areas of environmental and public health.

The Journal of Hazardous Materials publishes full length research papers, reviews, and case studies which improve our understanding of the hazards and risks certain materials pose to people and the environment or deal with ways of controlling these hazards and associated risks. The Editors particularly welcome proposals for review articles. The Journal of Medical Toxicology is the official print journal of the American College of Medical Toxicology. This international, peer-reviewed journal is dedicated to advancing the science and practice of medical toxicology, a medical subspecialty focusing on the diagnosis, management, and prevention of poisoning/toxicity and other adverse health effects resulting from medications, chemicals, occupational and environmental substances, and biological hazards. The journal publishes original articles, illustrative cases, review articles, and other special features.

The Journal of Personality Assessment (JPA) primarily publishes articles dealing with the development, evaluation, refinement, and application of personality assessment methods. Desirable articles address empirical, theoretical, instructional, or professional aspects of using psychological tests, interview data, or the applied clinical assessment process. They also advance the measurement, description, or understanding of personality, psychopathology, and human behavior. JPA is broadly concerned with developing and using personality assessment methods in clinical, counseling, forensic, and health psychology settings; with the assessment process in applied clinical practice; with the assessment of people of all ages and cultures; and with both normal and abnormal personality functioning. Manuscripts focused on personality constructs or processes rather than their assessment ordinarily should be submitted elsewhere. We encourage articles addressing under-studied areas. These include (a) systematic reviews or meta-analyses that summarize a body of evidence, (b) the effective integration of nomothetic empirical findings with the idiographic requirements of practice in which the assessor reasons through test and extra-test information to make individualized judgments and provide assessment feedback, and (c) the practical value of the clinical assessment process on the individuals receiving services and/or those who refer them for evaluation. The Journal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry (JRNC) publishes original papers, letters, review papers and short communications on nuclear chemistry. Coverage embraces a wide range of topics, including nuclear chemistry, radiochemistry, radiation chemistry, radiobiological chemistry, environmental radiochemistry, production and control of radioisotopes and labeled compounds, nuclear power plant chemistry, nuclear fuel chemistry, radioanalytical chemistry, radiation detection and measurement, nuclear instrumentation and automation, and more.

Now published twenty-four times per year, this authoritative journal features strictly refereed original research in the field of environmental toxicology in general as well as in special interest fields such as target organ toxicities, immunotoxicology, risk assessment, carcinogenesis, mutagenesis, ecotoxicology, environmental factors affecting health, and aquatic toxicology. Emphasis is on the toxicological effects of natural and anthropogenic environmental pollutants and their action on both intact organisms and in vitro systems. Increased attention is being placed on the results of epidemiological studies of select groups of workers in exposed populations.
