Inflammopharmacology

ISSN: 0925-4692eISSN: 1568-5608

Inflammopharmacology is the official publication of the Gastrointestinal Section of the International Union of Pharmacology (IUPHAR) and the Hungarian Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology Society (HECPS).Inflammopharmacology publishes papers on all aspects of inflammation and its pharmacological control emphasizing comparisons of (a) different inflammatory states, and (b) the actions, therapeutic efficacy and safety of drugs employed in the treatment of inflammatory conditions. The comparative aspects of the types of inflammatory conditions include gastrointestinal disease (e.g. ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease), parasitic diseases, toxicological manifestations of the effects of drugs and environmental agents, and arthritic conditions. The journal has five main interest areas: Drug-Disease Interactions - Conditional Pharmacology - i.e. where the condition (disease or stress state) influences the therapeutic response and side (adverse) effects from anti-inflammatory drugs. Mechanisms of drug-disease and drug disease interactions and the role of different stress statesRheumatology - particular emphasis on methods of measurement of clinical response effects of new agents, adverse effects from anti-rheumatic drugsGastroenterology - with particular emphasis on animal and human models, mechanisms of mucosal inflammation and ulceration and effects of novel and established anti-ulcer, anti-inflammatory agents, or antiparasitic agentsNeuro-Inflammation and Pain - model systems, pharmacology of new analgesic agents and mechanisms of neuro-inflammation and painNovel drugs, natural products and nutraceuticals - and their effects on inflammatory processes, especially where there are indications of novel modes action compared with conventional drugs e.g. NSAIDs.Requirements for manuscripts on the pharmacological or inflammatory properties of, natural products are described in the editorial Inflammopharmacology Vol. 15, issue 5 or on the journal website: www.springer.com/10787.

Innate Immunity

ISSN: 1753-4259eISSN: 1753-4267
DOAJ Logo

Innate Immunity is a highly ranked, peer reviewed scholarly journal, first published as Journal of Endotoxin Research (JER) in 1994 as the official journal of the International Endotoxin Society (IES). Over 10 years of being known as the IES, the society recognised a significant increase in research in innate immunity not related to endotoxins. In response to this the society became the International Endotoxin and Innate Immunity Society (IEIIS) in 2005.The journal’s coverage has changed in line with the society, and it increasingly publishes articles dealing with innate immunity research not related to endotoxins. A joint decision was made between the publisher and the IEIIS to re-launch the journal in 2008 with the new name Innate Immunity, to reflect the broader range of coverage of the society and in the journal.Publication Charge from July 2010:Innate Immunity has seen a large increase in the number of submitted manuscripts in recent years. In order to publish this important research in a timely manner we will be increasing by 33% the number of pages in each volume. After consultation with the Editorial Board and recent authors, we will cover the increased cost of production by introducing a charge of $230 for all accepted papers. The subscription price will remain at its current level in 2010.IEIIS President Alan Cross adds, "The International Endotoxin and Innate Immunity Society supports the move to introduce publication fees for Innate Immunity. This change will enable the journal to publish more high quality articles every year, and reduce the publication times for important new research"In rare cases of genuine financial hardship, exemptions may be made at the discretion of the publisher. Logic has found application in virtually all aspects of Information Technology, from software engineering and hardware to programming and artificial intelligence. Indeed, logic, artificial intelligence and theoretical computing are influencing each other to the extent that a new interdisciplinary area of Logic and Computation is emerging. The Journal of Logic and Computation aims to promote the growth of logic and computing, including, among others, the following areas of interest: Logical Systems, such as classical and non-classical logic, constructive logic, categorical logic, modal logic, type theory, feasible maths.... Logical issues in logic programming, knowledge-based systems and automated reasoning; logical issues in knowledge representation, such as non-monotonic reasoning and systems of knowledge and belief; logics and semantics of programming; specification and verification of programs and systems; applications of logic in hardware and VLSI, natural language, cincurrent computation, planning, and databases. The bulk of the content is technical scientific papers, although letters, reviews, and discussions, as well as relevant conference reviews, are included.

International Reviews of Immunology

ISSN: 0883-0185eISSN: 1563-5244

This review journal provides the most current information on basic and translational research in immunology and related fields. In addition to invited reviews, the journal accepts for publication articles and editorials on relevant topics proposed by contributors. Each issue of International Reviews of Immunology contains both solicited and unsolicited review articles, editorials, and 'In-this-Issue' highlights. The journal also hosts reviews that position the authors' original work relative to advances in a given field, bridging the gap between annual reviews and the original research articles. This review series is relevant to all immunologists, molecular biologists, microbiologists, translational scientists, industry researchers, and physicians who work in basic and clinical immunology, inflammatory and allergic diseases, vaccines, and additional topics relevant to medical research and drug development that connect immunology to disciplines such as oncology, cardiovascular disease, and metabolic disorders.Covered in International Reviews of Immunology:1) Basic and developmental immunology (innate and adaptive immunity; inflammation; and tumor and microbial immunology);2) Clinical research (mechanisms of disease in man pertaining to infectious diseases, autoimmunity, allergy, oncology / immunology); and3) Translational research (relevant to biomarkers, diagnostics, vaccines, and drug development). The editors' intent is that this journal provide the most recent and relevant information, hence the submissions are being reviewed by members of the editorial team and / or experts in the field; yet the turnaround time is short, in order to insure that the reviews contain the latest data. An international board of editors makes sure that the material presented is as broad as possible, both in terms of the geographic distribution of contributors and the range of interests represented.Read More: http://informahealthcare.com/page/iri/Description.
