One of the most respected archival journals in the field of tribology, the Journal of Tribology publishes over 100 outstanding technical articles of permanent interest to the tribology community annually, and attracts articles by tribologists from around the world. The journal features a mix of experimental, numerical, and theoretical articles dealing with all aspects of the field, including, but not limited to: friction and wear, fluid film lubrication, elastohydrodynamic lubrication, surface properties and characterization, contact mechanics, magnetic recordings, tribological systems, seals, bearing design and technology, gears, metalworking, lubricants, and artificial joints. Journal of Vinyl and Additive Technology is a peer-reviewed technical publication for new work in the fields of polymer modifiers and additives, vinyl polymers and selected review papers. Over half of all papers in JVAT are based on technology of additives and modifiers for all classes of polymers: thermoset polymers and both condensation and addition thermoplastics. Papers on vinyl technology include PVC additives.

Focusing exclusively on the chemistry of wood, wood components, and wood products, the Journal of Wood Chemistry and Technology covers the latest advances in areas such as lignin, cellulose, hemicellulose, and extractives chemistry; wood and bark chemicals; wood-based biomaterials synthesis and characterization; and biomass conversion or utilization. The Journal of Wood Science provides an international forum for the exchange of knowledge and the discussion of current issues in wood and wood utilization. It publishes original articles on basic and applied research dealing with the science, technology, and engineering of wood, wood components, wood and wood-based products, and wood constructions. Articles concerned with pulp and paper, fiber resources from non-woody plants, wood-inhabiting insects and fungi, wood biomass, and environmental and ecological issues in forest products are also included. The journal publishes review articles on selected topics concerning wood science and related fields. This is the official journal of the Japan Wood Research Society.

The Journal of Wuhan University of Technology-Mater. Sci. Ed. publishes reviews, full-length papers, and short communications presenting original research in materials science and engineering. The focus is on functional and structural materials, advanced technology for materials synthesis and processing, nanomaterials, composites, and computational material science. All published papers are subjected to peer review, and edited to conform to related international standards. The Journal won the first prize awarded by the Chinese Ministry of Education, ranking it first among all English-version technical journals published in China.

The Journal of the American Ceramic Society contains records of original research that provide or lead to fundamental principles in the science of ceramics and ceramic-based composites. These papers include reports of the discovery of new phases, phase relationships, processing approaches and microstructures that relate to ceramic materials and processes.
