Journal of Dynamical and Control Systems examines the entire spectrum of issues related to dynamical systems, focusing on the theory of smooth dynamical systems with analyses of measure-theoretical, topological, and bifurcational aspects. It covers all essential branches of the theory--local, semilocal, and global--including the theory of foliations. The journal also features in-depth papers devoted to control systems research that spotlight the geometric control theory, which unifies Lie-algebraic and differential-geometric methods of investigation in control and optimization, and ultimately relates to the general theory of dynamical systems. The Journal of Global Optimization publishes carefully refereed papers that deal with all theoretical, computational, and applied aspects of global optimization. Original research articles explore optimization in the widest sense, including nonlinear, stochastic and combinatorial programming, multi-objective programming, control, games, geometry, approximation, and algorithms for parallel architectures. In addition to papers covering theory and algorithms of global optimization, the journal publishes important papers on numerical experiments and applications in engineering, management, and the sciences. Of special note, readers will find thoughtful examinations of problems arising from applications. The Journal of Heuristics provides a forum for advancing the state-of-the-art in the theory and practical application of techniques for solving problems approximately that cannot be solved exactly. It fosters the development, understanding, and practical use of heuristic solution techniques for solving business, engineering, and societal problems. It considers the importance of theoretical, empirical, and experimental work related to the development of heuristics. JIMO is an international journal devoted to publishing peer-reviewed, high quality, original papers on the non-trivial interplay between numerical optimization methods and practically significant problems in industry or management so as to achieve superior design, planning and/or operation. Its objective is to promote collaboration between optimization specialists, industrial practitioners and management scientists so that important practical industrial and management problems can be addressed by the use of appropriate, recent advanced optimization techniques. It is particularly hoped that the study of these practical problems will lead to the discovery of new ideas and the development of novel methodologies in optimization. JIMO is published by AIMS and sponsored by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Curtin University and the Department of Mathematics, Zhejiang University.

Journal of Sensor and Actuator Networks (ISSN 2224-2708) is an international open access journal on the science and technology of sensor and actuator networks. It publishes regular research papers, reviews (including comprehensive reviews on complete sensor and actuator networks), and short communications. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. The full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced. There are, in addition, unique features of this journal: Manuscripts regarding research proposals and research ideas will be particularly welcomed. Electronic files and software regarding the full details of the calculation and experimental procedure, if unable to be published in a normal way, can be deposited as supplementary material.

Machines (ISSN 2075-1702) is an international, peer-reviewed journal on machinery and engineering. It publishes research articles, reviews, short communications and letters. Mathematics of Control, Signals, and Systems (MCSS) publishes original and high-quality research papers concerned with mathematically rigorous system theoretic aspects of control and signal processing.

Memetic Computing features articles on high quality research in hybrid metaheuristics (including evolutionary hybrids) for optimization, control and design in continuous and discrete optimization domains. It goes beyond current search methodologies towards innovative research on the emergence of cultural artifacts such as game, trade and negotiation strategies and, more generally, rules of behavior as they apply to, for example, robotic, multi-agent and artificial life systems. Memetic Computing is an avenue for the latest results in natural computation, artificial intelligence, machine learning, operational research and natural sciences, which are combined in novel ways so as to transcend the intrinsic limitations of a single discipline. Potential authors are invited to submit original research articles for publication consideration at any time. Reviews and short research communications are also welcomed. Multibody System Dynamics provides a unique single vehicle for reporting significant developments in all areas of multibody system dynamics. The journal explores theoretical and computational methods in rigid and flexible multibody systems, their applications, and experimental procedures used to validate the theoretical foundations. The journal’s research papers address the issues of new formulations, solution algorithms, computational efficiency, analytical and computational kinematics, synthesis, flexibility effects, control, optimization, real-time simulation, parallel computations, workspace and path planning, reliability, and durability.
