Cardiovascular Research is the International Basic Science Journal of the European Society of Cardiology. The Journal is concerned with both basic and clinical research in the field of cardiovascular physiology and pathophysiology. The Journal welcomes submission of papers both at the molecular, subcellular, cellular, organ and organism level, and of clinically oriented papers offering insight into (patho)physiological mechanisms. Manuscripts may be submitted as Original Articles, Rapid Communications or Reviews. Moreover, the Journal publishes Letters to the Editor and Editorials (the latter are usually invited).Cardiovascular Research is proud of its fast Reviewing and Editorial Decision system. Manuscripts are normally evaluated by three members from an international panel of reviewers and, in most cases, we provide a first editorial decision within 22 days of receipt.

Chemical Senses publishes original research and review papers on all aspects of chemoreception in both humans and animals. An important part of the journal's coverage is devoted to techniques and the development and application of new methods for investigating chemoreception and chemosensory structures.

Chronobiology International is the official journal of the International Society for Chronobiology, American Association for Medical Chronobiology and Chronotherapeutics, and the Society for Light Treatment and Biological Rhythms. Clinical Hemorheology and Microcirculation, a peer-reviewed international scientific journal, serves as an aid to understanding the flow properties of blood and the relationship to normal and abnormal physiology. The rapidly expanding science of hemorheology concerns blood, its components and the blood vessels with which blood interacts. It includes perihemorheology, i.e., the rheology of fluid and structures in the perivascular and interstitial spaces as well as the lymphatic system. Neurophysiologie Clinique/Clinical Neurophysiology addresses all researchers and clinicians in the field of the nervous system: classical and numerical, dipole source localisation, evoked potentials, sleep and neuromuscular electrophysiology. The journal is published under the auspices of the French speaking Society of Clinical Neurophysiology.

As of January 1999, The journal Electroencephalography and Clinical Neurophysiology, and its two sections Electromyography and Motor Control and Evoked Potentials have amalgamated to become this journal - Clinical Neurophysiology.Clinical Neurophysiology is the official journal of the International Federation of Clinical Neurophysiology, the Brazilian Society of Clinical Neurophysiology, the Czech Society of Clinical Neurophysiology, the Italian Clinical Neurophysiology Society and the International Society of Intraoperative Neurophysiology.The journal is dedicated to fostering research and disseminating information on all aspects of both normal and abnormal functioning of the nervous system. The key aim of the publication is to disseminate scholarly reports on the pathophysiology underlying diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system of human patients. Clinical trials that use neurophysiological measures to document change are encouraged, as are manuscripts reporting data on integrated neuroimaging of central nervous function including, but not limited to, functional MRI, MEG, EEG, PET and other neuroimaging modalities.The Journal has special emphases on epilepsy and on studies of cognitive function and cognitive disorders. Case Reports are not generally accepted as full length submissions but may be considered as peer-reviewed Letters.

Clinical Physiology and Functional Imaging publishes reports on clinical and experimental research pertinent to human physiology in health and disease. The scope of the Journal is very broad, covering all aspects of the regulatory system in the cardiovascular, renal and pulmonary systems with special emphasis on methodological aspects. The Journal also features review articles on recent front-line research within these fields of interest. Covered by the major abstracting services including Current Contents and Science Citation Index, Clinical Physiology and Functional Imaging plays an important role in providing effective and productive communication among clinical physiologists world-wide.

Clinical and Experimental Nephrology is a peer-reviewed bimonthly journal, officially published by the Japanese Society of Nephrology (JSN) to create an international forum for the discussion of research and issues relating to the study of nephrology. The term 'nephrology' in the title was created and brought into use with the establishment of JSN (Japanese Journal of Nephrology, Vol. 2, No.1, 1960). The journal publishes articles on all aspects of nephrology, including basic, experimental, and clinical research, providing a means of sharing research findings and ideas for the members of JSN, and for all researchers who wish to contribute to a better understanding of advances in nephrology. Uniquely, the journal introduces to an international readership original reports from Japan and also the clinical standards discussed and agreed by JSN.

Clinical and Experimental Pharmacology and Physiology provides a medium for the rapid publication of original research papers, short communications, rapid communications and theoretical articles (hypotheses) on the results of clinical and experimental work in pharmacology and physiology. Invited review articles are published occasionally. The Journal aims to make a substantial contribution to effective and productive communication between scientists throughout the world who are working in these interrelated disciplines. Clinical and Experimental Pharmacology and Physiology has been adopted by the High Blood Pressure Research Council of Australia (HBPRCA) and the Australasian Society of Clinical and Experimental Pharmacologists and Toxicologists (ASCEPT).

This journal intends to provide clear, insightful, balanced contributions by international experts that review the most important, recently published clinical findings related to the diagnosis, treatment, management, and prevention of heart failure.

We accomplish this aim by appointing international authorities to serve as Section Editors in key subject areas, such as investigative, pharmacologic, and nonpharmacologic therapies, pathophysiology, and prevention. Section Editors, in turn, select topics for which leading experts contribute comprehensive review articles that emphasize new developments and recently published papers of major importance, highlighted by annotated reference lists. An international Editorial Board reviews the annual table of contents, suggests articles of special interest to their country/region, and ensures that topics are current and include emerging research. Das Neurophysiologie-Labor richtet sich vor allem an Elektrophysiologisch-Technische Assistenten in Laboratorien und Kliniken, ist aber auch fuer den Neurologen von Interesse. Zentrales Anliegen sind die Anleitung und Weiterbildung im Zusammenhang mit allen Gebieten, die fuer die taegliche Arbeit von Elektrophysiologisch-Technischen Assistenten notwendig sind. So schliesst Das Neurophysiologie-Labor die Luecke, die trotz exzellenter Kurse und Seminare, die vom Fachverband Neurophysiologisch-Technischer Assistenten e.V. geleitet werden, verbleibt.

Documenta Ophthalmologica is an official publication of the International Society for Clinical Electrophysiology of Vision. The purpose of the journal is to promote the understanding and application of clinical electrophysiology of vision. Documenta Ophthalmologica will publish reviews, research articles, technical notes, brief reports and case studies which inform the readers about basic and clinical sciences related to visual electrodiagnosis and means to improve diagnosis and clinical management of patients using visual electrophysiology. Studies may involve animals or humans. In either case appropriate care must be taken to follow the Declaration of Helsinki for human subject or appropriate humane standards of animal care (e.g., the ARVO standards on Animal Care and Use).

EP-Europace — The European Journal of Pacing, Arrhythmias and Cardiac Electrophysiology of the European Heart Rhythm Association and the Working Group on Cardiac Cellular Electrophysiology of the European Society of Cardiology aims to provide an avenue of communication of top quality European and international original scientific work and reviews in the fields of Arrhythmias, Pacing and Cellular Electrophysiology.
