The official journal of the International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery (ISPN) was founded in 1972 as Child's Brain. As of 1 January 1985, the Society changed publishers. The new official journal, Child's Nervous System has been expanded to encompass all aspects of the pediatric neurosciences: development and growth, degenerative disorders, hereditary diseases, neurology, neurosurgery, neurooncology, neurophysiology, and trauma. Original manuscripts are given priority for publication; the same applies to brief communications. Individual case reports are welcome but, if accepted for publication, the 'lag-time' before appearance in print may well exceed 7 months from the time the final manuscript is received by the appropriate geographic editor until publication. However, faster publication is possible for individual case reports that might generate discussion (Case for discussion) or might provide an update on the status quo for a rare subject (Case-based update). Chinese Journal of Traumatology is sponsored and published by the Traumatology branch of Chinese Medical Association. Being a peer-reviewed medical journal, it began publishing in 1998 and is the sole English-language journal concerning wounds and injuries in China. With emphasis on the latest achievements and progress made in China, featured in the combination of Chinese traditional and Western medicine, the Journal focuses on all aspects of trauma care and accident surgery among all sources and countries. The scope of the journal covers actually all aspects of wounds and injuries, including brain injuries, chest and abdomen injuries, bone fractures, fire-arm injuries, burns, traffic accident injuries, wound ballistics, impact injuries, etc. The Journal functions as a window into China's traumatic medicine, and serves as a bridge for international academic exchanges. The goal of the Journal is to gear its contents for the reference of the medical workers of the traumatological field and engage in the academic exchanges between the colleagues at home and abroad of the latest achievements, techniques and experience both on basic research and clinical application in traumatology. The sources of the articles are abundant and the contributors are from China and abroad as well. CJT was included by Chemical Abstracts (USA), by Medline (USA) in 2001, by Excerpta Medica (Holland) in 2003, by Journal Abstracts (Russia) in 2005. The subscribers are nearly from every province of China as well as some foreign countries.The editor in chief, also member of Chinese Academy of Engineering, chairman of Chinese Society of Traumatology, Prof. Zheng-guo Wang has been engaged in trauma for over 40 years and is acknowledged as the preeminent specialist with outstanding academic achievements on trauma and accident surgery in China. The Editorial Board covers more than 40 professors from China and some foreign countries or areas.
Official organ of the French, Belgian and Swiss Societies for Surgery of the Hand, indexed in the main international databases, “Chirurgie de la main” publishes original articles, reviews of the literature, technical notes, clinical cases in French and in English. Initially platform of French-speaking hand surgeons, it turns more and more to English for a better circulation of the ideas of its authors. The journal also includes a biannual supplement, the monograph of the French Society for Surgery of the Hand, in which are presented the complete developments in the field of surgery of the hand, the peripheral nerves and the upper limb.
