Specialising in print and electronic journal publishing, Maney is committed to technical and editorial innovation combined with traditional values of quality and collaboration.Formed in 1997 (from a printing company established in 1900), Maney publishes over a hundred journals, the majority on behalf of societies, universities, and professional institutes. To publish a journal with Maney is to form a partnership, with the aims of the journal, its parent society, editors, readers, and authors paramount in the relationship. No two publishing agreements are the same; each is individually developed. This fundamental approach of responding to the needs of our partners, instead of imposing an off-the-shelf formula, has won us many friends. Neurology, Psychiatry & Brain Research publishes original papers and reviews in neurology, biologically oriented psychiatry and psychotherapy, neuropsychoimmunology, neuropsychiatry and the neurosciences. Interdisciplinary and translational research is particularly appreciated.Neurology, Psychiatry & Brain Research is the oldest German journal in this field – it was founded in 1878 as the Centralblatt für Nervenheilkunde, Psychiatrie und gerichtliche Psychopathologie. Building on this long tradition, Elsevier has taken over publication of NPBR as of Vol. 17 (2011).NPBR offers optional open peer-reviews and communication by high-ranking scientists (CI > 20). Authors are encouraged to submit their manuscript in their native language as supplemental data to the English version. For your interest: Article "Mild encephalitis underlying psychiatric disorder - A reconsideration and hypothesis exemplified on Borna Disease." Neuropeptides

ISSN: 0143-4179eISSN: 1532-2785

The aim of Neuropeptides is the rapid publication of original research and review articles, dealing with the structure, distribution, actions and functions of peptides in the central and peripheral nervous systems. The explosion of research activity in this field has led to the identification of numerous naturally occurring endogenous peptides which act as neurotransmitters, neuromodulators, or trophic factors, to mediate nervous system functions. Increasing numbers of non-peptide ligands of neuropeptide receptors have been developed, which act as agonists or antagonists in peptidergic systems. The journal provides a unique opportunity of integrating the many disciplines involved in all neuropeptide research. The journal publishes articles on all aspects of the neuropeptide field, with particular emphasis on gene regulation of peptide expression, peptide receptor subtypes, transgenic and knockout mice with mutations in genes for neuropeptides and peptide receptors, neuroanatomy, physiology, behaviour, neurotrophic factors, preclinical drug evaluation, clinical studies, and clinical trials.Original papers predominate. Manuscripts may be of any length, but must be complete studies; preliminary communications are not accepted. Review articles and hypothesis papers are welcomed, and will be evaluated in the same way as experimental papers. Authors intending to submit a review are advised to communicate their intentions to the Editor, to avoid possible duplication.

Neuropharmacology

ISSN: 0028-3908eISSN: 1873-7064

Neuropharmacology publishes high quality, original research and review articles within the discipline of neuroscience, especially articles with a neuropharmacological component. However, papers within any area of neuroscience will be considered. The journal does not usually accept clinical research, although preclinical neuropharmacological studies in humans may be considered. The journal only considers submissions in which the chemical structures and compositions of experimental agents are readily available in the literature or disclosed by the authors in the submitted manuscript. Only in exceptional circumstances will natural products be considered, and then only if the preparation is well defined by scientific means. Neuropharmacology publishes articles of any length (original research and reviews).Neuropharmacology also publishes succinct topical reviews on subjects within its remit. These reviews (of between 3000 and 5000 words) are commissioned by the Editorial Team or arise after correspondence with potential authors. Unsolicited reviews will be considered, but authors are encouraged to contact the Editor-in-Chief ahead of time of their intention to submit a review and to indicate clearly how the review differs from, and adds to, recent published reviews on related topics. On the basis of the case made by authors, potential overlap with planned Neuropharmacology content, and discussions with the Editorial Team, the Editor-in-Chief will provide authors with a decision regarding their proposed review as quickly as possible. The scope of the journal is broad. It covers many disciplines and spans molecules (e.g., molecular biology, biochemistry) through systems (e.g., neurophysiology) to behaviour (e.g. cognition, psychopharmacology). The journal covers all aspects of neuroscience with an emphasis on neurotransmitters and their receptors, ion channels, signalling, psychcopharmacology and animal models of disease, such as investigations on the neurobiology of cognition, depression, schizophrenia, anxiety, epilepsy, ischaemia, neuroprotection, neurodegeneration, drugs of abuse and pain. The journal publishes occasional Special Issues (and will consider publishing Supplements). Each year Elsevier/Neuropharmacology organise a satellite symposium to the Meeting of the Society for Neuroscience. The journal publishes a Special Issue to accompany each meeting. Please see http://www.neuropharmacology-conference.elsevier.com/ for details of this year's meeting and accompanying Special Issue.US National Institutes of Health (NIH) voluntary posting ("Public Access") policyNeuropharmacology and Elsevier facilitate the author's response to the NIH Public Access Policy.
