Cultural Anthropology publishes ethnographic writing informed by a wide array of theoretical perspectives, innovative in form and content, and focused on both traditional and emerging topics. It also welcomes essays concerned with theoretical issues, with ethnographic methods and research design in historical perspective, and with ways cultural analysis can address broader public audiences and interests. Cultural Dynamics seeks to publish research focused on the structured inequalities of the contemporary world, and the myriad ways people negotiate these conditions. The journal is thoroughly interdisciplinary, encompassing anthropology, sociology, philosophy, history, and any other areas that can shed light on culture, power, and politics.

Cultural Studies is an international journal which explores the relation between cultural practices, everyday life, material, economic, political, geographical and historical contexts. It fosters more open analytic, critical and political conversations by encouraging people to push the dialogue into fresh, uncharted territory. It also aims to intervene in the processes by which the existing techniques, institutions and structures of power are reproduced, resisted and transformed. Cultural Studies understands the term 'culture' inclusively rather than exclusively, and publishes essays which encourage significant intellectual and political experimentation, intervention and dialogue. Special issues focus on specific topics, often not traditionally associated with cultural studies, and occasional issues present a body of work from a particular national, ethnic or special tradition. The journal represents the truly international and interdisciplinary nature of contemporary work in cultural studies, and since its inception in 1987, has reflected the discipline in becoming ever more global in scope and perspective(s). Cultural Studies welcomes work covering a range of topics and styles, and invites articles, reviews, critiques, photographs and other forms of 'cultural' and 'intellectual' production. Celebrating 20 years of Cultural Studies with Routledge in 2006 I was first introduced to cultural studies about thirty-five years ago, when no one quite knew what it was. It was a project. It had its enemies, on the left, and in the disciplines. Maybe not that much has changed. After all, cultural studies is still almost impossible to define, especially given the enormous diversity of work that is carried on in its name. And it has even more enemies--on the left and in the disciplines, and now we can always add various conservative fractions. Yet, everything has changed. By many quantitative measures, cultural studies has become a success--it has a real presence in the academy and in publications. Its audiences and outlets have exploded. When Cultural Studies first began publishing over twenty years ago, there were no other outlets. Now there are more than anyone can keep up with. More importantly, cultural studies as a transdisciplinary formation and practice has transformed many of our most basic disciplinary and political practices and assumptions. And despite the many misappropriations and misrepresentations of cultural studies, I now understand that it is precisely as a project--a radically contextual practice of the articulation of knowledge and power-- that cultural studies will continue to challenge dominant intellectual and political practices, and to look to the possibilities of the future. As the world speeds into a increasingly precarious and inhumane future, I still believe, as I did thirty five years ago, that cultural studies has something to contribute to making another future possible. Current Anthropology is a transnational journal devoted to research on humankind, encompassing the full range of anthropological scholarship on human cultures and on the human and other primate species. Communicating across the subfields, the journal features papers in a wide variety of areas, including social, cultural, and physical anthropology as well as ethnology and ethnohistory, archaeology and prehistory, folklore, and linguistics.

Dialectical Anthropology is an international journal that seeks to invigorate discussion among left intellectuals by publishing peer-reviewed articles, editorials, letters, reports from the field, political exchanges, and book reviews that foster open debate through criticism, research and commentary from across the social sciences and humanities. We provide a forum for work with a pronounced dialectical approach to social theory and political practice for scholars and activists working in Marxist and broadly political-economic traditions, and those who wish to be in dialogue or debate with these traditions. Since 1975, Dialectical Anthropology has been dedicated to the transformation of class society through internationalizing conversations about the stakes of contemporary crises and the means for social change. Our format is shaped by these goals. Following peer review, accepted manuscripts are sent to select scholars and activists whose comments are published with the article and a reply by the manuscript author. These exchanges aim to provide space for comment, criticism, agreement, and disagreement, about significant issues of our time, from a broad range of perspectives. We also publish timely reports from the field by scholars, activists, and informants. Our 'Dialectical Forum' is dedicated to back-and-forth discussion among scholars and activists. Finally, our book review section rejects the traditional 1000 word format in favour of substantial essays that analyse several books or other significant texts in a dialectical way and contextualize them within contemporary politics, economics, society and culture. We invite contributions from authors interested in raising the level of political engagement internationally and across disciplinary divides and welcome participation by scholars, activists, and commentators from all perspectives seeking discussion about the union of theory and practice towards significant s, ocial change. Dialectical Anthropology is committed to reaching beyond an Anglophone readership and encourages submissions, dialogue and active participation in languages other than English. Digital Applications in Archaeology and Cultural Heritage (DAACH) is an on-line, peer-reviewed journal in which scholars can publish 3D digital models of the world's cultural heritage sites, monuments, and palaeoanthropological remains accompanied by associated academic articles.The journal aims both to preserve digital cultural heritage models and to provide access to them for the scholarly community to facilitate the academic debate. DAACH offers scholars the opportunity of publishing their models online with full interactivity so that users can explore them at will. It is unique in that its focus is on the application of 3D modeling to cultural heritage. DAACH will provide full peer-review for all 3D models, not just the text, 2D renderings or video fly-throughs, and requires all models to be accompanied by metadata, documentation, and a related article, explaining the history of the subject and its state of preservation, as well as an account of the modeling project itself. The journal focuses on scholarship that either promotes the application of 3D technologies to the fields of archaeology, art and architectural history, and palaeoanthropology or uses 3D technology to make a significant contribution to the study of built structures, works of art or palaeoanthropological remains.Digital Applications in Archaeology and Cultural Heritage will also consider papers dealing with processing of digital data acquired by geophysical prospection in archaeological sites (eg applications of 3D or 2D mapping of buried monuments), digital signals from luminescence measurements, multispectral imaging techniques and processing of atomic force microscopic data applied to archaeomaterials.The provision of a 3D model is not compulsory for an article to be published in this journal.

Discourse Studies is an international peer-reviewed journal for the study of text and talk. Publishing outstanding work on the structures and strategies of written and spoken discourse, special attention is given to cross-disciplinary studies of text and talk in linguistics, anthropology, ethnomethodology, cognitive and social psychology, communication studies and law. Documenta Praehistorica is an international journal that focuses on interdisciplinary research in cognition and materialities of prehistoric cultures, archaeogenetic studies, palaeodemography, population dynamics and cultural trajectories in prehistory, settlement and landscape dynamics, climate anomalies, radiocarbon dating, palaeodietary reconstruction based on stable isotope analysis, chemistry in archaeology and palaeoenvironmental studies. The main strength of the journal is that it provides an opportunity for the publication of diverse approaches, theories and specific case studies, while maintaining a coherent editorial policy in addressing significant topics and studies relating to Eurasian prehistory.
