Ecohydrology & Hydrobiology is an international journal that aims to advance ecohydrology as the study of the interplay between ecological and hydrological processes from molecular to river basin scales, and to promote its implementation as an integrative management tool to harmonize societal needs with biosphere potential.Water is a major driver of biogeochemical evolution and hence of biodiversity and biological productivity (e.g., food production). In human-modified, degraded systems, therefore, regulation of ecohydrological processes is the most relevant way for achieving sustainability.An essential component of ecohydrology is a rigorous understanding of hydrobiology, from ecosystem properties, dynamics and functions to modelling of abiotic and biotic interactions in relation to their hydrological determinants at the basin scale.The journal will publish high-quality science aimed at increasing the understanding of water – biota interplay and exploring how this knowledge can be used to regulate hydrological and biogeochemical processes to enhance the carrying capacity, especially of anthropogenically modified ecosystems. Research addressing one or several of the following issues will be of prime interest to the journal if it:Leads to new insights into the interactions of water, nutrient and pollutant cycles with biotic components of ecosystems;Employs this understanding for developing ecosystem biotechnologies and system solutions;Identifies possibilities to integrate engineering infrastructure with ecohydrological biotechnologies into system solutions at the catchment scale;Translates transdisciplinary knowledge into decision-support tools;Targets biodiversity, quality and quantity of water resources, ecosystem processes and functioning (including environmental flows), ecosystem services and/or ecosystem resilience as necessary components for enhanced carrying capacity;Is policy-oriented and, within the scope of the journal, addresses the priorities and objectives of international initiatives such as the Millennium Development Goals and UNESCO's International Hydrological Programme.

Innate Immunity is a highly ranked, peer reviewed scholarly journal, first published as Journal of Endotoxin Research (JER) in 1994 as the official journal of the International Endotoxin Society (IES). Over 10 years of being known as the IES, the society recognised a significant increase in research in innate immunity not related to endotoxins. In response to this the society became the International Endotoxin and Innate Immunity Society (IEIIS) in 2005.The journal’s coverage has changed in line with the society, and it increasingly publishes articles dealing with innate immunity research not related to endotoxins. A joint decision was made between the publisher and the IEIIS to re-launch the journal in 2008 with the new name Innate Immunity, to reflect the broader range of coverage of the society and in the journal.Publication Charge from July 2010:Innate Immunity has seen a large increase in the number of submitted manuscripts in recent years. In order to publish this important research in a timely manner we will be increasing by 33% the number of pages in each volume. After consultation with the Editorial Board and recent authors, we will cover the increased cost of production by introducing a charge of $230 for all accepted papers. Digital Studies / Le champ numérique is a refereed academic journal that serves as an Open Access area for formal scholarly activity and as a resource for researchers in the Digital Humanities. It is published for the Alliance of Digital Humanities Organisations under the direction of the Canadian Society for Digital Humanities/Société canadienne des humanités numériques (CSDH/SCHN) by the Open Library of the Humanities.

Submissions to DSCN focus on the intersection of technology and humanities research. Articles on the application of technology to cultural, historical, and social problems, on the societal and institutional context of such applications, and the history and development of the field of Digital Humanities. Submissions focussing on issues of the practice of the Digital Humanities in a global, multi-cultural, or multi-lingual context are particularly encouraged.

As a rule, submissions to DSCN should be of generalisable import: project reports and technical notes are welcome when they discuss significant milestones in the history and development of the field or are clearly extensible. DSCN rarely publishes criticism of digital objects (e.g. game criticism, literary criticism of electronic art or literature); it does so primarily in the context of special issues.

Reflecting the aforementioned emphasis on solution of practical problems, numerical demonstration of proposed methodologies will generally be considered a necessary ingredient for papers appearing in FINEL. Conversely, applications of existing finite element techniques to widely studied problems will typically not be favorably considered for publication, except where such presentations are particularly novel or enlightening, either with respect to the results obtained or the method of application used.

The journal encompasses any field where numerical solution procedures for initial/boundary value problems are needed to meet design and analysis needs. Although the following list is not exhaustive, contributions are sought in structural mechanics, geomechanics, mechanical engineering, mechanics of materials, fluid mechanics, thermal sciences, hydrology, chemical engineering, biomechanics, electrical engineering, aero/astro engineering, and environmental engineering and science. In addition to contributions focused directly on numerical methodologies, submissions dealing with computer-aided engineering methods, parallel computing, optimal design strategies, mesh generation and post processing, code validation, experimental verification, and visualization are also solicited.

Purely descriptive accounts are not considered suitable.(3) The Practice Papers section encourages shorter contributions (around 3,000 words) from practicing teachers and others involved in the delivery of education and training including; employers, educational managers, staff developers and library and careers guidance staff. In particular, it encourages reflection on, and critical review of good (and bad) practice with a view to sharing experiences and promoting a "learning profession".(4) The Perspectives section offers a platform (around 1,000-2,000 words) for contributors to make an initial mapping of the issues surrounding a recent development in Hospitality, Leisure, Sport and Tourism education. The Journal of Dual Diagnosis is a quarterly, international publication that focuses on the full spectrum of complexities regarding dual diagnosis. The co-occurrence of mental health and substance use disorders, or 8220;dual diagnosis,8221; is one of the quintessential issues in behavioral health. Why do such high rates of co-occurrence exist? What does it tell us about risk profiles? How do these linked disorders affect people, their families, and the communities in which they live? What are the natural paths to recovery? What specific treatments are most helpful and how can new ones be developed? How can we enhance the implementation of evidence-based practices at clinical, administrative, and policy levels? How can we help clients to learn active recovery skills and adopt needed supports, clinicians to master new interventions, programs to implement effective services, and communities to foster healthy adjustment? The Journal addresses each of these perplexing challenges. Increasing demand for professionals for the languages services industry and other areas of intercultural communication and the concomitant proliferation of training programmes have given rise to widespread concern for and reflection on how translator and interpreter education and training can best be conceived and the necessary skills and knowledge to be acquired. This is the first journal in the field of translation studies to devote its attention entirely to research in education and training. ITT is a refereed international journal that seeks to address issues relating to the education and training of professional translators and interpreters, and of those working in other forms of interlingual and intercultural mediation. ITT aims to provide a specialized forum for trainers, educators, researchers and professionals sharing an interest in the training of translators and/or interpreters from diverse theoretical and applied approaches, encouraging critical reflection on the many issues involved, including: curricular design; syllabus design; translator/translation competence(s); teaching and learning approaches, methods and techniques; teaching and learning resources; assessment and accreditation, amongst others.
