Food Additives & Contaminants: Part B publishes surveillance data indicating the presence and levels of occurrence of designated food additives, residues and contaminants in foods and animal feed. Data using validated methods must meet stipulated quality standards to be acceptable and must be presented in a prescribed format for subsequent data-handling. Food Additives & Contaminants: Part B has a restricted scope in terms of classes of food additives, residues and contaminants that are included, being based on a goal of covering those areas where there is a need to record surveillance data for the purposes of exposure and risk assessment. The scope is initially restricted to: 1. Additives - food colours, artificial sweeteners, and preservatives; 2. Residues - veterinary drug and pesticide residues; 3. Contaminants - metals, mycotoxins, phycotoxins, plant toxins, nitrate/nitrite, PCDDs/PCFDs, PCBs, PAHs, acrylamide, 3-MPCD and contaminants derived from food packaging. Papers reporting surveillance data in areas other than the above should be submitted to Part A. The scope of Part B will be expanded from time-to-time to ensure inclusion of new areas of concern. Readership The readership includes scientists involved in all aspects of food safety and quality and particularly those involved in monitoring human exposure to chemicals from the diet. Since the early 1990s fundamental changes in the world economy, under the auspices of increasing globalisation, have taken place On one hand, the disappearance of the centrally planned economies and the progressive formation of market-oriented economies, have brought about countless systematic changes, where new economic structures, institutions, competences and skills involve complex processes, changes which are still underway and which necessitate adaptation and restructuring to form competitive market economies. On the other hand, many developing economies are making great strides as regards economic reform and liberalisation, and are emerging as new global players. They show an innovative capacity to position themselves in the global economy and to compete with industrialised countries, which are generally believed to be witnessing the rapid erosion of their established positions. These developments are accompanied by the exacerbation of the world competition. Both processes involve transition and the emerging economies, in searching for a new role and scope for public policies and for a new balance between public and private partnership, seem to currently be converging, especially with respect to the policies needed to create appropriate and effective market institutions and integrated reform policies, and to increase the standards of the population's education levels. Thus, liberalisation and development policies, in attempting to strike a difficult balance between social and environmental needs, must be integrated more coherently. This complexity calls for new analytical and empirical approaches that can explain these new phenomena, which often go beyond the over-simplified facts and conventional 'wisdom' that emerged at the start of the transition in the early 1990s. Economic Change and Restructuring (formerl, y 'Economics of Planning'), by keeping abreast of developments affecting both transitional and emerging economies, is aimed to attract original empirical and policy analysis contributions that are focused on various issues, including macroeconomic analysis, fiscal issues, finance and banking, industrial and trade development, and regional and local development issues. The journal is the official publication of the Indian Association of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons which has a membership of over 1000 at present. Description The journal is the official organ of the Indian Association of Cardiovascular-Thoracic Surgeons. It was started in 1982 by Dr. Solomon Victor and ws being published twice a year up to 1996. From 2000 the editorial office moved to Delhi. From 2001 the journal was extended to quarterly and subsequently four issues annually have been printed out at time and regularly without fail. The journal receives manuscripts from members and non-members and cardiovascular surgeons. The manuscripts are peer reviewed by at least two or sometimes three or four reviewers who are on the panel. Fly is the first international peer-reviewed journal to focus exclusively on Drosophila research.Fly publishes broadly three general types of papers: original research, methods and technical advances and reviews and meeting reports.Topics in Drosophila research include: cell biology, development, gene regulation, chromosome dynamics, behavior, evolution, population biology, neurobiology, molecular biology and biochemistry, genomics and anything else that we might have left out or might come along.We will distinguish Fly from other journals in two important ways:First, we plan to have regular features of specific interest to the Drosophila community. Early Modern French Studies (formerly Seventeenth-Century French Studies) publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed, original articles in English and French on a broad range of literary, cultural, methodological, and theoretical topics relating to the study of early modern France. Higher-Order and Symbolic Computation is an international journal that presents a broad-spectrum forum for results and ideas concerning programming with higher-order and symbolic facilities: first-class functions and continuations, effects and higher-order types, objects, actors, and programs as data. Papers ranging from theory and design to practice and experience and especially about theory used in practice are welcomed, as well as occasional expository papers. The aim is to promote the exchange of ideas and synergy amongst researchers with a wide range of interests and expertise.
