The Journal of Biomechanics publishes reports of original and substantial findings using the principles of mechanics to explore biological problems. Analytical, as well as experimental papers may be submitted, and the journal accepts original articles, surveys and perspective articles (usually by Editorial invitation only), book reviews and letters to the Editor. Progress in Solid State Chemistry presents a chemical view of the solid state by providing up-to-date critical reviews written by acknowledged authorities in the field. It also publishes surveys of research progress and specialized articles devoted to summarizing particular recent developments. Examples include mathematical or image processing libraries or methodologies, visualization tools, data management, etcetera.

Through the quality of the description and of the (potential) impact of the software deposited we aim that significant reuse will occur both within and without the original developing domain and therefore encourage consideration of this reuse factor when submitting and in the language used within the description.

Submissions to SoftwareX consist of two major parts:

• A short descriptive paper of max. 6 pages;
• An open source software distribution with support material.

- Prix 2001 du meilleur article de formation infirmière pour un article intitulé "La perte d'un bébé et les autres membres de la famille" de Suzy Fréchette-Piperni (Soins Pédiatrie/Puériculture n° 199, mars/avril 2001).

The aim of the journal is to provide an international forum for the exchange of ideas and promotion of basic and clinical research in acupuncture, electro-therapeutics, and related fields. The journal was established in order to make acupuncture and electro-therapeutics a universally acceptable branch of medicine through multidisciplinary research based on scientific disciplines. The final goal is to provide a better understanding of both the beneficial and adverse effects of these treatments in order to supplement or improve existing methods of diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases in both Western and Oriental medicine.The journal will accept original basic or clinical research papers, worthwhile reviews on safe and effective therapeutic methods, applications, limitations, theories, or principles of acupuncture and electro-therapeutics, including electro-analgesia or any method of treatment through the application of various types of electric or electromagnetic field stimuli as well as electrical and nonelectrical diagnostic methods. The journal will also consider serious research on any related methods of treatment such as Shiastsu, moxibustion, herbal medicine, and standard and experiemental stages of Western medicine, with physiological and pharmacological studies. We accept clinical, experimental, and theoretical studies, particularly on the early diagnosis and safe and effective treatment of intractable medical problems, such as intractable pain, dystonia, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, cancer, and cardiovascular disease. In general, submitted papers must be based either on the documentation of data through scientifically proven or accepted methods, or on the explanation of new theories in the field with critical evaluation of such ideas. For example, papers may present data such as the effects of acupuncture on the cardiovascular or nervous systems using blood chemistry, hemodynamics, enzymes, and other biochemical or pathophysiological, Bi-Digital O-Ring Test, nerve conduction velocity, threshold stimulation for pain, somatosensory evoked potentials or any other electro-physiological method that is scientifically acceptable. Papers not dealing directly with acupuncture, electro-therapeutics, or the related methods of diagnosis or treatment mentioned above will also be considered if they have important implications for either improving diagnostic methods or treatment, or elucidating the underlying principles or the history or medicolegal aspects of these fields.

Advanced Sustainable Systems is an international, peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal publishing outstanding research results on the development and implementation of systems, solutions, technologies and applications that share the focus on the advancement of sustainable living. In alignment with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) the journal publishes papers covering one or more of the following topics:

• Renewable energy (SDG 7), sustainable energy (solar, geothermal, wind, water, hydrogen, biofuels, a.o.), conversion and storage, efficiency, alternative fuel technologies
• Sustainable food and agriculture (SDGs 2, 3), food security, nutrition gap, food waste management, fork-to-fork, alternative food sources, biodiversity, land use, biofortification, crop breeding technology, precision farming
• Urban development and sustainable living (SDGs 9, 11), including clean/green technologies and engineering, sustainable infrastructure, green transport, sustainable building/green buildings, waste management/urban mining, urbanization
• Ecology (SDGs 6, 14, 15), including air/water/soil science, atmospheric science, desalination, environmental biotechnology, environmental risk assessment and management, hydrology, water resources, land management, biodiversity, (bio-)remediation, oceanography
• Cradle-to-cradle processing (SDG 12), including ecologically sustainable design, supply chain, more efficient and less consumptive technologies, environmentally preferred products, logistics, packaging, recycling, waste streams
• Social and economic challenges (SDGs 1, 4, 5, 8, 10, 16), including sustainable economics, life cycle assessment, logistics, gender inequality, taxation, malnutrition, global health
• Policy and governance (SDGs 16,17), including efficiency and effectiveness, food/energy/environmental policy, dietary guidelines, waste management, SMART (sustainable monitoring & assessment routine), risk assessment

The expectation for published papers will be to translate fundamental knowledge about the neurobiology of the disease into practical reports that describe both the conceptual and methodological aspects of the submitted scientific inquiry. Published topics will explore the development of biomarkers, surrogate markers, and conceptual/methodological challenges. Publication priority will be given to papers that 1) describe putative surrogate markers that accurately track disease progression, 2) biomarkers that fulfill international regulatory requirements, 3) reports from large, well-characterized population-based cohorts that comprise the heterogeneity and diversity of asymptomatic individuals and 4) algorithmic development that considers multi-marker arrays (e.g., integrated-omics, genetics, biofluids, imaging, etc.) and advanced computational analytics and technologies.

Given the growing number of specialized manuscripts in the field of Alzheimer's and dementia research, DADM will provide an expanded platform to provide a) rapid communication and publication that facilitate cross-fertilization of ideas, b) integrating and translating knowledge across disciplines; disseminating basic and clinical information necessary for optimal translation of research into practical applications and interventions, c) increase knowledge in diverse areas of studies with potentials/implications for practical application related to early detection and/or interventions, d) formulating crucial experiments necessary for the rigorous testing of theories or their predictions, and e) identifying promising new directions of research and providing the impetus or the scientific foundation for new initiatives on interventions.
