Autism is a major, peer-reviewed, bi-monthly, international journal, providing research of direct and practical relevance to help improve the quality of life for individuals with autism or autism-related disorders. The Forum for Social Economics, founded in 1971, is a high-quality peer-reviewed (double-blind), international academic journal sponsored by the Association for Social Economics (ASE). It is committed to the development of social economics as a values-based, complex and policy-oriented science in the service of the common good.

The Forum Editors invite the submission of stimulating, original and clearly-written academic research papers (7,500 words maximum) on:

a) The central socioeconomic problems of our age, such as the state of communities, economic and financial crises, institutional and technological change, poverty/inequality, terrorism, conflict and climate change as well as gender, class and ethnic issues; 

b) Alternative measures and perspectives of socioeconomic performance, social network analysis, agent-based modelling and complexity economics; including approaches that endogenize social facts, well-being, quality of life, standard of living, provisioning, ecological sustainability, trust, institutional functioning, happiness and/or human development;

c) Policy issues, with the emphasis on how governance and institutional innovations can enhance coordination, cooperation, performance, justice, equity and trust for the common good.

The Forum is especially interested in papers that are realistic in their outlook, pluralistic in their approach, concerned with interdependent agents and take account of the institutional and evolutionary nature of the economy.

The journal compares and contrasts state and community claims, and deal with such factors as citizenship, race, religion, economic development, immigration, language, and the international environment. Peer Review Policy:All articles submitted to this journal undergo a 8220;double-blind8221; anonymous peer review by at least two referees. Submission Guidelines:Manuscripts should not exceed 9,500 words (including notes and references). The article should begin with an indented and italicized abstract of 100 words, which describes the main arguments and conclusions of the article. The details of the author's institutional affiliation, full address and contact information, the exact length of the article, a brief biographical description (about 40 words), and any acknowledgments should be included on a separate cover-sheet. Manuscripts are sent out for anonymous review; consequently we would encourage authors to refrain from posting their name or affiliation on any materials that may be sent out to referees (i.e. the manuscript itself and associated graphical presentations). Finally, the journal prefers numerical superscript to parenthetical notation and encourages authors to abide by these guidelines when citing. Territory, Politics, Governance is an interdisciplinary journal from the Regional Studies Association.  It is committed to the development of theory and research in territorial politics and the governance of space.  This journal creates a platform on which to explore the interface between territory, politics, economy, identity and the organisation of political space. It confronts topical and emergent issues of world economic and political concern. The journal publishes original, high quality international scholarship from this growing, international and increasingly vibrant field directed at a worldwide academic audience and at policy makers, activists and other communities of practice.

The journal is under consideration for inclusion in Social Science Citation Index and will have a significant circulation footprint from Volume 1, Issue 1 as it is distributed with its sister journals, Regional Studies and Spatial Economic Analysis. It will be essential reading for academics and practitioners alike.

With the advantages of being a new journal with shorter average turnaround from submission to review to decision the journal aims to publish two issues in 2013, three in 2014, moving to quarterly from 2015.

To be accepted, a paper must adhere to a high standard of scholarship and make an important contribution to this emerging field. Original paper submissions are sought from political scientists, geographers, sociologists, planners, lawyers, humanists and others working on territorial politics and the governance of space.
