Asian Englishes seeks to publish the best papers dealing with various issues involved in the diffusion of English and its diversification in Asia and the Pacific. It aims to promote better understanding of the nature of English and the role which it plays in the linguistic repertoire of those who live and work in Asia, both intra- and internationally, and in spoken and written form. The journal particularly highlights such themes as:

1. Varieties of English in Asia – Including their divergence & convergence
   (phonetics, phonology, prosody, vocabulary, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, discourse, rhetoric)
2. Theories and methods of promoting effective teaching of English and testing of English proficiency
3. English as a language of international and intercultural communication in Asia
4. English-language journalism, literature, and other media
5. Social roles and functions of English in Asian countries
6. Multicultural English and mutual intelligibility
7. Language policy and language planning
8. Impact of English on other Asian languages
9. English-knowing bi- and multilingualism
10. English-medium education
11. Relevance of new paradigms, such as English as a Lingua Franca, to Asian contexts.
12. The depth of penetration, use in various domains, and future direction of English in (the development of) Asian Societies.

Psicología Educativa (Journal of Educational Psychology) is a multi-disciplinary scientific Spanish journal aimed at fostering both theoretical contributions and experimental research by psychologists and related educational jobs. Its goal is to share topics within the areas of cognitive, affective and cultural processes, knowledge acquisition, along with areas of educational intervention and innovation. Researchers in the field of education (psychologists, anthropologists, sociologists, educational technologists, and so on), along with educators and counselors from whatever sector, educational psychologists, assessors, specialists in computing and information technology applied to education, are all therefore invited to submit their work to this journal. Psicología Educativa accepts unpublished original manuscripts of interest for psychologists that are contributions to the knowledge in the field of educational psychology. Psicología Educativa is published mainly in Spanish, although original contributions in English are also accepted.

The Journal welcomes contributions to the understanding and treatment of psychopathology. Such contributions may stem from various theoretical perspectives, such as learning theory, cognitive science, social psychology, developmental psychology, etc. The Journal primarily focuses on experimental tests of psychological approaches to psychopathology, though contributions from medicine, biology, sociology, or epidemiology may be published. The same holds for non-experimental approaches, which may occasionally be published if deemed relevant for the field of experimental psychopathology. Papers to be published generally focus on:•Theoretically or clinically relevant differences between specific patient groups and other groups, if experimentally tested;•Mechanisms that cause, perpetuate or reduce disorders;•Diagnostic or therapeutic proceduresParticipants in the studies may be patients, healthy subjects, or animals, depending on the relevance of the subject characteristics for the question to be answered.Clinical trials (RCTs and others) should be registered in an official trial register and the registration number should be reported. These studies should include a flow diagram according to the most recent CONSORT guidelines and a CONSORT checklist should accompany the submission. See http://www.consort-statement.org for the guidelines and forms.Studies testing hypotheses on characteristics of a disorder should not only include a non-patient control group, but also an appropriate clinical control group, to assess the specificity of the effect. We cannot guarantee acceptance of studies missing an appropriate clinical control group.Case studies, open trials, and pilot studies may be considered for publication in the Journal if they are unusually innovative.Consecutive case series with appropriate designs (i.e., contrasting at least two conditions; e.g. multiple baseline design) and appropriate statistical analyses are considered for publication.Replications are essential in science and are, to the present editor's opinion, often undervalued. Short reports of attempts to replicate experimental studies, whether successful, or failed, and whether applied or fundamental, are considered for publication, if appropriately powered. The maximum number of words is 2500 for these reports.All submissions will first be screened on the degree to which they match the Aims and Scope of the Journal.

Fifty Key Anthropologists - Articles Related to the Life and Work of Some Influential Figures Visual Anthropology is a scholarly journal presenting original articles, commentary, discussions, film reviews, and book reviews on anthropological and ethnographic topics. The journal focuses on the study of human behavior through visual means. Experts in the field also examine visual symbolic forms from a cultural-historical framework and provide a cross-cultural study of art and artifacts. Visual Anthropology also promotes the study, use, and production of anthropological and ethnographic films, videos, and photographs for research and teaching. Additional topics cover: the relationship of cultural and visual perception; visual theories, technologies, and methodologies for recording and analyzing behavior and the relationships among different modes of communication; the study of human behavior through visual means; the analysis of the structuring of reality as evidenced by visual productions and artifacts; the study of the forms of social organization surrounding the planning, production, and use of visual symbolic forms; the support of urgent ethnographic filming; the use of media in cultural feedback. Peer Review Policy: This is a peer-reviewed journal. All research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and subsequent review by one or two anonymous referees. The only exception is when certain submitted articles fall within the special anthropological competence of one of the editors, in which case that person serves as the reviewer. The Journal aims to publish the best research on international development issues in a form that is accessible to practitioners and policy-makers as well as to an academic audience. The main focus is on the social sciences - economics, politics, international relations, sociology and anthropology, as well as development studies - but we also welcome articles that blend the natural and social sciences in addressing the challenges for development. The Journal does not represent any particular school, analytical technique or methodological approach, but aims to publish high quality contributions to ideas, frameworks, policy and practice, including in transitional countries and underdeveloped areas of the Global North as well as the Global South. The Journal has two special features: Field Reports, which are short articles contributing to development policy and practice, and invited Policy Arenas, which comprise several articles focusing on a theme with a policy dimension.
