The first journal exclusively dedicated to the reception of Greek and Roman antiquity by other cultures, from the ancient world to the present time, International Journal of Classical Tradition's primary focus is on the creative use of the ancient Greco-Roman heritage in a broad range of scholarly endeavors. Articles are published in five languages. The journal includes articles, short notes, research reports, review articles, and news of the field. Utrecht Journal of International and European Law (previously Merkourios) is an Open Access, peer-reviewed, student-led law journal, focusing on international and European law.

The journal aims to contribute to legal scholarship on international and European law by promoting these fields' progressive development and providing an international forum for interaction between academia, practitioners and students.

Comparative Legal History is an international and comparative review of law and history.

Articles will explore both 'internal' legal history (doctrinal and disciplinary developments in the law) and 'external' legal history (legal ideas and institutions in wider contexts). Rooted in the complexity of the various Western legal traditions worldwide, the journal will also investigate other laws and customs from around the globe. Comparisons may be either temporal or geographical and both legal and other law-like normative traditions will be considered. Scholarship on comparative and trans-national historiography, including trans-disciplinary approaches, is particularly welcome.

Established as the leading British periodical for Socio-Legal Studies The Journal of Law and Society offers an interdisciplinary approach. It is committed to achieving a broad international appeal, attracting contributions and addressing issues from a range of legal cultures, as well as theoretical concerns of cross- cultural interest. It produces an annual special issue, which is also published in book form. It has a widely respected Book Review section and is cited all over the world. Challenging, authoritative and topical, the journal appeals to legal researchers and practitioners as well as sociologists, criminologists and other social scientists.

The Journal of Ethics: An International Philosophical Review seeks to publish articles on a wide range of topics in ethics, philosophically construed, including such areas as ethical theory, moral, social, political, and legal philosophy. Although The Journal of Ethics is primarily an organ of philosophical research, it publishes work on topics of concern to academics and professionals in a wide range of fields. The journal also seeks to publish the highest quality commentaries on works published in its pages. Analytical acuity as well as depth and range of philosophical scholarship are taken into account in the evaluation of submissions.

AMBIO addresses the scientific, social, economic, and cultural factors that influence the condition of the human environment. AMBIO particularly encourages multi- or inter-disciplinary submissions with explicit management or policy recommendations. Papers published in AMBIO fall into four main categories:

In the last half-century, social scientists have engaged in a methodologically focused and substantively far-reaching mission to make the study of politics scientific. The mutually reinforcing components in this pursuit are the development of positive theories and the testing of their empirical implications. Although this paradigm has been associated with many advances in the understanding of politics, no leading journal of political science is dedicated primarily to the publication of positive political science.The Quarterly Journal of Political Science will solicit, review, and publish the highest quality manuscripts in positive political science and contemporary political economy. The substantive content of the journal will be broad and eclectic, including cutting-edge research on any aspect of private, local, national, comparative, or international politics. The methodological approach will be analytical, focusing on positive political theories, empirical tests of those theories, and the measurement of causal relationships. In their commitment to making the Journal the premier interdisciplinary publication of scientific research on politics, the editors welcome submissions not only from political scientists but also from scholars in cognate disciplines such as economics, business, and law.

The Journal of Policy Research in Tourism, Leisure & Events provides a critical focus on a variety of policy debates relating to the tourism, leisure and events sectors. Such policy debates will encompass economic, social, cultural, political and environmental perspectives. The journal welcomes research on questions of policy formation and change, planning, strategy, policy instruments and implementation, and evaluation and impact assessment. Inter- and multi-disciplinary submissions would be particularly welcome.The journal is international in orientation, and seeks high quality theoretical and empirical papers that advance knowledge in this field. Disability & Society is an international journal providing a focus for debate about such issues as human rights, discrimination, definitions, policy and practices. It appears against a background of change in the ways in which disability is viewed and responded to. Definitions of disability are more readily acknowledged to be relative; segregated approaches are seen as inadequate and unacceptable - placing greater emphasis on community care and inclusion. However, policy intentions may not have the desired effects on the realities of everyday practice and policy changes themselves may be merely cosmetic, or appropriate but unfounded. The Journal publishes articles that represent a wide range of perspectives including the importance of the voices of disabled people. As well as main articles there is a Current Issues section that is intended to give people the opportunity to write about things that concern them in a less formal and academic way. The pieces should be interesting, controversial or even polemical and may encourage others to respond. They do not need to meet the conventional academic criteria but they should not be personal attacks or libellous. The word limit is 2000. Papers will be refereed and can explore any topic related to disability issues and questions. The papers must be authored by students undertaking under-graduate, postgraduate or research degrees. The papers need to be between 3000 and 7000 words (maximum). The papers should: * Provide an adequate review of disability studies literature. * Have clearly acknowledged sources. * Be specifically written for the Journal taking into account its ethos and audience. * Conform to the academic requirements of the Journal * Where necessary adequately discuss the methods used. * Have particular attention paid to the presentation and analysis of empirical data. * Pay attention to the Journal's policy on language. Book Reviews Every edition of the journal contains up to four book reviews. These cover a wide range of issues on the social, political and cultural aspects of disability from a national and international perspective. The Book Reviews Editor, Alison Sheldon welcomes suggestions both for books to be reviewed and suitable reviewers. Letters and Doctoral Theses Special Issues The Journal also publishes Special Issues which address a chosen theme central to disability studies. The issues are open to submission of papers by any interested parties and they seek to include contributions from authors in a range of countries. All papers are refereed in line with the normal refereeing procedures of the Journal. The most recent Special Issue published in 2009 Vol 24, Number 5 is on the theme: 'Brave New World?': Disability and the 21st Century: Challenges and Solutions.' Future Special Issues, procedures and dates for submission, will be advertised at least 9 months in advance of the deadline. Peer Review Policy: All articles submitted to the journal undergo rigorous peer review. This involves anonymised refereeing by two anonymous referees and where there is a split decision by a third referee. The journal has an extensive editorial board of referees that have standing both nationally and internationally. Mark the launch of IJHP in 2010 with FREE access to volume 10, issue 1The International Journal of Housing Policy aims to be the leading forum for the critical analysis of housing policy, systems and practice from a social science perspective.
