The International Journal of Tourism Research will promote and enhance research developments in the field of tourism. The journal will provide an international platform for debate and dissemination of research findings whilst also facilitating the discussion of new research areas and techniques. IJTR will continue to add a vibrant and exciting channel for those interested in tourism and hospitality research developments. This function will be further enhanced by the provision of regular, book, conference and web reviews in addition to research articles. The scope of the journal is international and encompasses research into tourism aspects as well as the development of new research approaches. It will continue to include high quality research papers in any area of tourism, including reviews of literature in the field and empirical papers on tourism issues. The journal welcomes submissions based upon both primary research and reviews including papers in areas that may not directly be tourism based but concern a topic that is of interest to researchers in the field of tourism, such as economics, marketing, sociology and statistics. All papers are subject to strict double blind peer review by the international research community.

Historically, child protection has been commonly perceived to be a matter of concern to professionals in specialized social service, health, mental health, and justice systems. However, Child Abuse & Neglect: The International Journal also welcomes contributors and readers interested in children's safety in the settings of everyday life - homes, day care centers, schools, playgrounds, youth clubs, health clinics, places of worship, and so forth. Child Abuse & Neglect also invites the engagement of other social scientists (e.g., anthropologists, economists, historians, planners, political scientists, and sociologists) and humanists (e.g., ethicists, legal scholars, political theorists, and theologians) whose studies may contribute to an understanding of (a) the evolution of concepts of - and strategies for - child protection and (b) the responsibilities of individual adults and the institutions of which they are a part to ensure children's safety and their humane care.Limited by neither geography, profession, nor setting, the readers of Child Abuse & Neglect have diverse education, experience, interests, and needs for information. Accordingly, the journal seeks the expression of authors' ideas and their empirical findings clearly and cogently, so that articles are accessible to a broad audience. The journal also expects authors to approach problems of child abuse and neglect with a level of care commensurate with the fundamental importance of children's rights to the protection of their personal security, the promotion of their sense of dignity, and the assurance of love and respect in the relationships most important to them.Toward those ends, Child Abuse & Neglect invites research and commentary on the following topics, among others:•the conditions that foster or threaten children's safety and sense of personal security in their homes and other settings of everyday life;•the conditions that enable or hinder parents', extended family members', other caregivers', and other community members' efforts to ensure children's personal security;•programs and practices to facilitate children's protection from harms or wrongs, their recovery from violations of their personal security, or both;•community, societal, and international systems to promote children's safety, enhance the quality of their care, and/or facilitate the mitigation of harms and wrongs that they may suffer;•children's, parents', and other caregivers' own experiences, attitudes, and beliefs in regard to all of these topics.Child Abuse & Neglect recognizes that child protection is a global concern and that the state of the art continues to evolve. Accordingly, the journal is intended to be useful to scholars, policymakers, concerned citizens, and professional practitioners in countries that are diverse in wealth, culture, and the nature of their formal child protection system. Thus Child Abuse & Neglect welcomes contributions grounded in the traditions of particular cultures and settings. However, international and cross-cultural studies and commentary are of special interest.

Economic Systems Research is a double blind peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to the furtherance of theoretical and factual knowledge about economic systems, structures and processes, and their change through time and space, at the subnational, national and international level. The journal contains sensible, matter-of-fact tools and data for modelling, policy analysis, planning and decision making in large economic environments. It promotes understanding in economic thinking and between theoretical schools of East and West, North and South.Economic Systems Research is non-partisan, factual and problem-oriented. As the official journal of the International Input-Output Association (IIOA), it aims to serve as a vehicle of cross-cultural information and contact. The Journal of Island & Coastal Archaeology (JICA) is aimed at archaeologists and other scientists with interests in the archaeology and historical ecology of islands and other coastal settings. This bi-annual journal publishes original research papers, major review articles, short notes, occasional book reviews, and forums of significance to a broad international audience. We encourage submissions on a variety of innovative and interdisciplinary topics, including broad syntheses of particular islands or coastal regions around the world, major methodological and theoretical advances in the study of island and coastal societies, and the historical ecology and human impacts of island and coastal ecosystems around the world. JICA provides an international forum for scholars from a variety of disciplines who share a common interest in studying islands, archipelagoes, and coastal regions. Transport Reviews is an international review journal covering all aspects of transport. It is intended to provide authoritative and up to date research-based reviews of transport related topics that are informative to those that are knowledgeable in the subject area. It also provides a means by which experts from different backgrounds can find out about the subject area, so the papers should be accessible to a wide ranging readership. Transport Reviews encourages submissions from all disciplinary perspectives (e.g. economics or engineering), all relevant subject areas (e.g. safety or environment), and all analytical approaches (e.g. modelling or database analysis). The reviews normally present new methodological approaches, new analysis, innovative perspectives and original data, but are not exclusively research based. Transport Reviews obtains papers from many different sources, conventional academic authors, as well as from those working in consultancies, local authorities, government departments and the international agencies. The geographic spread of authors is extensive. For example, there were 42 papers published in Transport Reviews in 2008, with 76 authors from 22 different countries. The Journal of Educational & Psychological Consultation (JEPC) provides a forum for improving the scientific understanding of consultation and for describing practical strategies to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of consultation services. Consultation is broadly defined as a process that facilitates problem solving for individuals, groups, and organizations. JEPC publishes articles and special thematic issues that describe formal research, evaluate practice, examine the program implementation process, review relevant literature, investigate systems change, discuss salient issues, and carefully document the translation of theory into practice. Examples of topics of interest include individual, group, and organizational consultation; collaboration; community-school-family partnerships; consultation training; educational reform; ethics and professional issues; health promotion; personnel preparation; preferral interventions; prevention; program planning, implementation, and evaluation; school to work transitions; services coordination; systems change; and teaming. Of interest are manuscripts that address consultation issues relevant to clients of all age groups, from infancy to adulthood. Risk analysis is the science of evaluating health, environmental, and engineering risks resulting from past, current, or anticipated, future activities. The use of these evaluations include providing information for determining regulatory actions to limit risk, presenting scientific evidence in legal settings, evaluating products and potential liabilities--within private organizations, resolving World Trade disputes amongst nations, and for educating the public concerning particular risk issues. Risk analysis is an interdisciplinary science that relies on epidemiology and laboratory studies, collection of exposure and other field data, computer modeling, and related social and economic and communication considerations. In addition, social dimensions of risk are addressed by social scientists. Methods of risk analysis and the outcome of particular evaluations are regularly presented in scholarly papers that are published in Risk Analysis: An International Journal and topics are as diverse as quality of drinking water, air and land contamination, the safety of foods and drugs, automobile and infrastructure safety, and risk associated with weapons of mass destruction.

Journal of Multicultural Counseling and Development (JMCD) is the official journal of the Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development (AMCD), a division of the American Counseling Association.

Discourse Processes is a multidisciplinary journal providing a forum for cross-fertilization of ideas from diverse disciplines sharing a common interest in discourse--prose comprehension and recall, dialogue analysis, text grammar construction, computer simulation of natural language, cross-cultural comparisons of communicative competence, or related topics. The problems posed by multisentence contexts and the methods required to investigate them, although not always unique to discourse, are sufficiently distinct so as to require an organized mode of scientific interaction made possible through the journal. The journal accepts original experimental or theoretical papers that substantially advance understanding of the structure and function of discourse. Scholars working in the discourse area from the perspective of sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, discourse psychology, text linguistics, ethnomethodology and sociology of language, education, philosophy of language, computer science, and related subareas are invited to contribute. New ways of studying discourse processes in their full complexity can require new ways of presenting data and analyses. The Journal of Poetry Therapy (JPT), sponsored by the National Association for Poetry Therapy, is a peer-reviewed interdisciplinary journal committed to the publication of original articles concerned with the use of the literary arts in therapeutic, educational, and community-building capacities. The purview of the JPT includes the use of bibliotherapy, journal therapy, creative writing, narrative, lyrics, storytelling, and metaphor in human service settings. Eastern African Literary & Cultural Studies ( EALCS) is a new international peer-reviewed journal which offers a distinctive, integrated forum for scholarship on the literature, culture and arts of the Eastern Africa region and their widespread influence. The arts and culture have played an instrumental role in the post-colonial project, and indeed in the forging of twenty-first century identities and realities, where they have actively engaged with ideas from other fields including economics, politics, history, and religion. This dynamic interface is explored in the journal. Exceptional creative work from and about the region is also considered for publication. Phytochemistry Reviews is an international review journal that publishes peer-reviewed papers in four issues annually. The journal examines topical issues, some of which result from meetings organized by the Phytochemical Society of Europe. The journal also presents original review papers advancing knowledge of plants in respect to their chemistry, function, biosynthesis, effects on other plants, animal physiology and pathology. The History of Economics Review (HER) is a peer-reviewed journal. After an initial screening by the editors, submissions are sent to two referees. Anonymity of authors and referees is preserved. Papers, comments and book reviews written by established international scholars and early career academics appear in HER. Although it is the journal of the History of Economic Thought Society of Australia (HETSA), submissions are invited from across the full range of the history of economic thought regardless of geography or era.
