Dynamical Systems: An International Journal is published four times a year in print and electronic editions. The primary goal of Dynamical Systems: An International Journal (founded as Dynamics and Stability of Systems) is to act as a forum for communication across all branches of modern dynamical systems, and especially to facilitate interaction between theory and applications. This journal aims to publish high quality research articles in the theory and applications of dynamical systems, especially (but not exclusively) nonlinear systems. Advances in the following topics will be addressed by the journal: * Differential equations * Bifurcation theory * Hamiltonian and Lagrangian dynamics * Hyperbolic dynamics * Ergodic theory * Topological and smooth dynamics * Random dynamical systems * Applications in technology, engineering and natural and life sciences There is no formal page limit and longer manuscripts will be considered; however the Editors intend to offer fast refereeing to short papers (less than 5000 words or 8 typed pages). As the remit of the Journal is fairly wide, authors are requested to present their work in a way that enables a wide audience to understand the context and motivation of the results in their article. Papers should present a major advancement either in the theory or applications of dynamics; articles that are minor improvements of previously published results will not be considered. High quality papers describing the application of the modern theory of dynamics to practical problems in other disciplines and reports of experiments or numerical simulations are also welcome, as long as they clearly illustrate important theoretical issues or highlight deficiencies in the theoretical development of dynamical systems. Contributions of a purely theoretical nature are likewise encouraged, provided that their relevance to applications is clearly described. The Journal also publishes occasional review articles and special issues. Peer Review All published research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymous refereeing by independent expert referees. Disclaimer Taylor & Francis makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of all the information (the 'Content') contained in its publications. Aim The Journal of the Chinese Institute of Engineers (JCIE) is devoted to publishing articles in all aspects of engineering and related fields in applied sciences, ranging from fundamental principles to practical applications. A platform for the timely dissemination of original engineering researches and emerging technologies, the findings and ideas published in this journal are considered to have significant enduring value in the field. JCIE is published eight times a year in January, March, April, June, July, September, October and December, to ensure effective distribution of research results. For years, the journal has brought its readers the latest in technology trends, by the very creators and innovators of these technologies. JCIE has been recognized as one of the leading international journals in its field. Because of our dedication to constant improvement, we aim to extend our reach by establishing relationships with prestigious authors via international conferences, and inviting them to publish with us. To facilitate references of related topics, we also prepare special sections or issues compiled of accepted technical papers, to highlight a particular technology of interest. Scope Encompassing a wide range of engineering disciplines and industrial applications, JCIE includes the following topics: 1. Chemical engineering 2. Civil engineering 3. Computer engineering 4. Electrical engineering 5. Electronics 6. Mechanical engineering and fields related to the above. Peer Review Process As soon as the Editorial Office receives a submitted manuscript, the Editorial office will forward the manuscript to an appropriate Subject Editor based on the paper content and initiate the review process. The Subject Editor examines the submitted paper to determine whether it falls within the scope of JCIE. If it does, the Subject Editor selects a panel of referees to perform the paper's review. Referees are normally asked to respond within four weeks. If they are late, reminders are sent. If the Subject Editor does not receive a timely response from the referee, the manuscript is then sent to an alternative referee. The Subject Editor then evaluates reviews when they come in. If a review is deemed lacking in critical quality (i.e. the technical and scientific strengths or shortcomings of the work have not been adequately addressed), then an additional review is sought. Copies of the reviews (at least two) are referred to the Subject Editor who examines all materials and decides on a course of action. The decision is also checked by the Executive Editor and is then conveyed to the author by the Editorial Office. A ScholarOne Manuscripts™ online submission site is being built for this journal and will go live in 2011. STAR Taylor & Francis/Routledge are committed to the widest possible dissemination of its journals to non-profit institutions in developing countries. Our STAR initiative offers individual researchers in Africa, South Asia and many parts of South East Asia the opportunity to gain one month's free online access to 1,300 Taylor & Francis journals. Pictorial Turn Special Issue Guest Editor: Neal Curtis including contributions from Jacques Ranciere, W.J.T. Mitchell, Antony Gormley annd Norman MacLeod Culture, Theory and Critique is a refereed, interdisciplinary journal for the transformation and development of critical theories in the humanities and social sciences. It aims to critique and reconstruct theories by interfacing them with one another and by relocating them in new sites and conjunctures. Culture, Theory and Critique' approach to theoretical refinement and innovation is one of interaction and hybridisation via recontextualisation and transculturation. The reconceptualisation of critical theories is achieved by: * assessing how well theories emerging from particular spatial, cultural, geographical and historical contexts travel and translate into new conjunctures. * confronting theories with their limitations or aporias through immanent critique. * applying theories to cultural, literary, social and political phenomena in order to test them against their respective fields of concern and to generate critical feedback. * interfacing theories from different intellectual, disciplinary and institutional settings. Given its interdisciplinary character, Culture, Theory and Critique will appeal to anyone working at the interface between disciplines such as gender studies, cultural studies, critical geography, historiography, literary theory and criticism, film studies, philosophy, postcolonialism, social and political theory and visual culture. Culture, Theory and Critique is an intercultural journal whose success depends on contributions from a variety of sources, so that debate between different perspectives can be stimulated. One of the aims of the journal is to break down theoretical hierarchies and latent intellectual hegemonies, which can be achieved only if voices from places other than Anglophone centres are heard. Every endeavour will be made for each issue of the journal to incorporate perspectives from diverse cultural, intellectual and geographical contexts. See the Instructions for Authors for further details. Peer Review Policy: All research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymized refereeing by two anonymous referees. Disclaimer Taylor & Francis makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of all the information (the 'Content') contained in its publications. Since its launch in 1987, Textual Practice has been Britain's principal international journal of radical literary studies, continually pressing theory into new engagements. Today, as customary relations among disciplines and media are questioned and transformed, Textual Practice works at the turning points of theory with politics, history and texts. It is intrigued by the processes through which hitherto marginal cultures of ethnicity and sexuality are becoming conceptually central, and by the consequences of these diverse disturbances for educational and cultural institutions.Peer Review Policy:All review papers in this journal have undergone editorial screening and peer review.View forthcoming special issues for the journal hereDisclaimerTaylor & Francis makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of all the information (the 8220;Content8221;) contained in its publications.
