The International Journal of Acarology (IJA) publishes original research work on a wide variety of acarological subjects including mite and tick behavior, biochemistry, biology, control, ecology, evolution, morphology, physiology, systematics and taxonomy. To ensure continued quality of journal content, manuscripts submitted to IJA are critically reviewed up to seven reviewers, including outside reviewers and Editorial Board members, who are specialists on the subject matter. The language of choice for IJA is English but manuscripts written in other languages may be considered. The rapidly increasing world population of aged people has led to a growing need to focus attention on the problems of mental disorder in late life. The aim of the Journal is to communicate the results of original research in the causes, treatment and care of all forms of mental disorder which affect the elderly. The International Journal of Life Cycle Assessment (JLCA) is the first journal devoted entirely to LCA. The aim of International Journal of Visualization in Engineering, a fully open access journal published under the brand SpringerOpen, is to disseminate original and high quality research results on the visualization paradigms, models, technologies, and applications that have significant contributions to the advancement of all aspects of design and engineering. Insurance: Mathematics and Economics is an international journal that intends to strengthen communication between individuals and groups who produce and apply research results in insurance and finance, aiming to integrate the currently fragmented research in both fields. Nordic Journal of Music Therapy NJMT is published in collaboration with GAMUT - The Grieg Academy Music Therapy Research Centre (Uni Health and University of Bergen), with financial support from Nordic Board for Periodicals in the Humanities and Social Sciences and in co-operation with university programs and organizations of music therapy in the Nordic and Baltic countries.The Nordic Journal of Music Therapy serves the international community of music therapy by being an avenue for publication of scholarly articles, texts on practice, theory and research, dialogues and discussions, reviews and critique. Publication of the journal is based on the collaboration between the music therapy communities in the five Nordic countries of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden and the three Baltic Countries of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. This international but still regional foundation offers a platform for development of communication with the broader international community of music therapy. Scholars from all over the world are welcomed to write in the journal. Any kind of scholarly articles related to the field of music therapy are welcomed. All articles are reviewed by two referees and by the editors, to ensure the quality of the journal. Since the field of music therapy is still young, we work hard to make the review process a constructive learning experience for the author. The Nordic Journal of Music Therapy does not step aside from active engagement in the development of the discipline, in order to stimulate multicultural, meta-theoretical and philosophical discussions, and new and diverse forms of inquiry. The journal also stimulates reflections on music as the medium that defines the discipline. Perspectives inspired by musicology and ethnomusicology are therefore welcomed. A special issue serves several purposes: it provides a well-defined location for papers that relate to a common theme; it can serve as a catalyst for an emerging field by providing that highly-visible forum for the topic; and it encourages authors to submit high-quality work by providing them with a focused review process and publication schedule. TECS is committed to providing adequate space to regular submissions to the transactions, but TECS is also happy to provide room for special issues of interest to the embedded systems community.A special issue may be instigated by the TECS editorial staff or may be proposed by potential guest editor(s). The special issue associate editor works with the TECS editorial staff to refine the special issue's call for papers and set a timetable for submission and review. The call for papers is then publicized through a variety of mechanisms: notices in TECS and other publications, Web sites, flyers at conferences etc.Authors submit their special issue contributions to the TECS Web site. The English Academy Review: Southern African Journal of English Studies (EAR) is the journal of the English Academy of Southern Africa. In line with the Academy's vision of promoting effective English as a vital resource and of respecting Africa's diverse linguistic ecology, it welcomes submissions on language as well as educational, philosophical and literary topics from Southern Africa and across the globe.
