BMJ Open Diabetes Research & Care is an open access journal committed to publishing high-quality basic and clinical research articles regarding type 1 and type 2 diabetes and associated complications. Only original research and systematic reviews are accepted. Submissions are subject to rigorous external peer review to ensure the publication of high-quality information. The online-only format allows for continuous updates and serves as an invaluable resource to the multidisciplinary community of endocrinology, public health/prevention and internal medicine. A rapid review process will also ensure that timely, up-to-date research is available internationally.

Established in 1999 by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in collaboration with Tsinghua University, China Accounting and Finance Review (CAFR) is the first refereed journal of accounting and finance published in China. German Studies Review (GSR) is the scholarly journal of the German Studies Association (GSA), the worlds largest academic association devoted to the interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary study of the German-speaking countries. Recent issues have covered topics from Alexander von Humboldt and postcolonial theory to Krupp housing estates in the Ruhr valley to the popularity of German gangsta rap. A peer-reviewed journal, GSR includes articles and book reviews on the history, literature, culture, and politics of the German-speaking areas of Europe encompassing primarily, but not exclusively, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

In Practice provides continuing educational material for veterinary practitioners. Peer-reviewed review articles by experts in their field cover all species, but principally farm and companion animals, providing a regular update on clinical developments. Published 10 times a year, it also includes articles on veterinary practice management. First published in 1979, it now provides an extensive archive of clinical review articles. In Practice is produced in conjunction with Veterinary Record, the official journal of the British Veterinary Association (BVA). It is published on behalf of the BVA by BMJ Group.

Australian Systematic Botany considers papers and critical reviews that aim to advance systematic botany and related aspects of biogeography and evolution of all plant groups, including fossils. Descriptive taxonomic papers should normally constitute a comprehensive treatment of group. Short papers on individual species and nomenclatural papers must contain significant new information of broader interest to be considered. Papers dealing with groups of unrelated species or miscellaneous collections of species are not considered. Numbered series of papers are discouraged. The prestigious L.A.S. Johnson Review Series is published. Other review articles will also be considered.

The journal welcomes reports of original research with a clinical emphasis, including observational studies, clinical trials, and advances in applied and basic laboratory research: the journal particularly welcomes important basic research that contributes to the understanding of coronary artery disease. Issues can contain an in-depth review on a major topic of current interest. These Reviews in Depth are prepared under the editorship of invited specialists, who commission a group of five to six leading workers in the field to contribute articles providing a concise yet in-depth overview of an aspect of the topic under review.

The journal is committed to the principle that distinctive scholarship is rigorous. While the editors encourage all forms of research, it must contribute to the discipline of accounting. Reviews in Physics is an open access Journal, publishing review papers on topics in all areas of (applied) physics. The journal provides a platform for researchers who wish to summarize a field of physics research and share this work as widely as possible. The published papers provide an overview of the main developments on a particular topic, with an emphasis on recent developments, and sketch an outlook on future developments. The journal focuses on short review papers (max 15 pages) and these are freely available after publication. All submitted manuscripts are fully peer-reviewed and after acceptance a publication fee is charged to cover all editorial, production, and archiving costs.

Strategies: A Journal for Physical and Sport Educators is a peer-reviewed professional journal that publishes practical, how-to articles for sport and physical education professionals at all levels. The journal provides information to help educators and coaches become more effective in their work. The publication’s goals include the following:

The Review of English Studies was founded in 1925 to publish literary-historical research in all areas of English literature and the English language from the earliest period to the present. From the outset, RES has welcomed scholarship and criticism arising from newly discovered sources or advancing fresh interpretation of known material. Successive editors have built on this tradition while responding to innovations in the discipline and reinforcing the journal’s role as a forum for the best new research.

ZDM is one of the oldest mathematics education research journals. The papers appearing in the seven themed issues per year are strictly by invitation only followed by internal peer review by the guest-editors and external review by invited experts. The journal exists to survey, discuss and extend current research-based and theoretical perspectives as well as to create a forum for critical analyses of issues within mathematics education. The audience is pre-dominantly mathematics education researchers around the world interested in current developments in the field.

British Politics offers the only forum explicitly designed to promote research in British political studies, and seeks to provide a counterweight to the growing fragmentation of this field during recent years. To this end, the journal aims to promote a more holistic understanding of British politics by encouraging a closer integration between theoretical and empirical research, between historical and contemporary analyses, and by fostering a conception of British politics as a broad and multi-disciplinary field of study. This incorporates a range of sub-fields, including psephology, policy analysis, regional studies, comparative politics, institutional analysis, political theory, political economy, historical analysis, cultural studies and social policy.While recognising the validity and the importance of research into specific aspects of British politics, the journal takes it to be a guiding principle that such research is more useful, and indeed meaningful, if it is related to the field of British politics in a broader and fuller sense.The scope of the journal will therefore be broad, incorporating a range of research papers and review articles from all theoretical perspectives, and on all aspects of British politics, including policy developments, institutional change and political behaviour. Priority will, however, be given to contributions which link contemporary developments in British politics to theoretical and/or historical analyses. The aim is as much to encourage the development of empirical research that is theoretically rigorous and informed, as it is to encourage the empirical application of theoretical work (or at least to encourage theorists to explicitly signify how their work could be applied in an empirical manner).

Since the scope is large, contributions should be of the highest quality. Some will convey important recommendations for environmental management and governance. Contributions that expand existing methodology in image analysis, spatial statistics and logic are welcome. We encourage 'Discussion' articles that stimulate dialogue between earth observation studies and managers in a statistically sound way and 'Review' articles that provide an overview of scientific developments in a particular scientific domain in recent years.

Papers addressing these topics in the context of the social fabric and economic constraints of developing countries are particularly welcome.

The journal is the successor of the former ITC Journal, and has been published by Elsevier since 2002.

Anthropology and Humanism concerns that central question of the discipline: what it is to be human. AH welcomes contributions from all major fields of anthropology and from scholars in other social science disciplines, as well as the humanities. To this end, Anthropology and Humanism publishes work in a variety of genres, including fiction and creative nonfiction, poetry, drama, and photo essays, as well as more conventional articles and reviews. The journal publishes semi-annually by the Society for Humanistic Anthropology.
