Diaspora, Indigenous, and Minority Education

ISSN: 1559-5692eISSN: 1559-5706

Diaspora, Indigenous, and Minority Education: An International Journal (DIME) 8211; a quarterly peer-reviewed journal focused on critical discourse and research in diaspora, indigenous, and minority education 8211; is dedicated to researching cultural sustainability in a world increasingly consolidating under national, transnational, and global organizations. It aims to draw attention to, and learn from, the many initiatives being conducted around the globe in support of diaspora, indigenous, and minority education, which might otherwise go unnoticed. DIME invites research from a variety of theoretical and methodological perspectives that emphasize the centrality of marginal voices and a peripheral gaze, and which draw attention to the complex interrelations between political, economic, historical, and social contexts, as well as the ways in which these various contexts shape educational policies, practices, curricula, and outcomes. The journal welcomes articles that ground theoretical reflections in specific empirical research and case studies of diverse locations and peoples as yet underrepresented within scholarly research and literature, as well as action or participatory research studies of exemplary or 8220;best8221; practices. Intended to bridge arbitrary disciplinary boundaries in which such research and theorizing are currently conducted, DIME encourages cutting-edge work from around the world to enhance understanding of the relationships between home and school cultures; educational development, curriculum, and cultural change; local, regional, national, and/or transnational forces or institutions; culture, ethnicity, and gender in identity construction; migration and educational change; and societal attitudes and cultural variation.Peer Review Policy: All research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymous refereeing by two anonymous referees.Publication office: Taylor & Francis, Inc., 325 Chestnut Street, Suite 800, Philadelphia, PA 19106.

Food and Waterborne Parasitology

eISSN: 2405-6766
DOAJ Logo
Food and Waterborne Parasitology publishes high quality papers containing original research findings, investigative reports, and scientific proceedings on parasites which are transmitted to humans via the consumption of food or water.

The relevant parasites include protozoa, nematodes, cestodes and trematodes which are transmitted by food or water and capable of infecting humans. Pertinent food includes products of animal or plant origin which are domestic or wild, and consumed by humans. Animals and plants from both terrestrial and aquatic sources are included, as well as studies related to potable and other types of water which serve to harbor, perpetuate or disseminate food and waterborne parasites.

Studies dealing with prevalence, transmission, epidemiology, risk assessment and mitigation, including control measures and test methodologies for parasites in food and water are of particular interest.

Evidence of the emergence of such parasites and interactions among domestic animals, wildlife and humans are of interest. The impact of parasites on the health and welfare of humans is viewed as very important and within scope of the journal. Manuscripts with scientifically generated information on associations between food and waterborne parasitic diseases and lifestyle, culture and economies are also welcome. Studies involving animal experiments must meet the International Guiding Principles for Biomedical Research Involving Animals as issued by the Council for International Organizations of Medical Sciences.

The primary form of publication in the journal is a full-length paper describing scientifically-sound original research studies. Less than full-length publications include Brief Communications of original research findings, and Investigative Reports describing studies of unique single cases or widespread outbreaks. Review articles on specific high profile topics, emerging or strategic issues may be solicited for publication, but requests for such submissions may also be made. Topical review articles based on keynote presentations at conferences or workshops will be considered.

Journal of Neurogenetics

ISSN: 0167-7063eISSN: 1563-5260

Under new editorship from 2008, Journal of Neurogenetics continues to publish papers involving the genetics of behavior, neural function or development, interpreted in the broadest sense. The Journal may be particularly appropriate for papers on behavioral, biochemical, or cellular aspects of neural function, plasticity, aging or disease. In addition to analyses in the traditional genetic-model organisms, C. elegans, Drosophila, mouse and the zebrafish, the Journal encourages submission of neurogenetic investigations performed in organisms not easily amenable to experimental genetics. Such investigations might, for instance, describe behavioral differences deriving from genetic variation within a species, or report human disease studies that provide exceptional insights into biological mechanisms. Manuscripts simply documenting the correlation of specific human SNPs with behavioral traits or neurological disorders are outside of the Journal's current Scope and will not be considered. In addition to Original Articles, the Journal will also publish Short Communications, and Hypotheses, as well as Invited Commentaries and Reviews. Meeting Reports or groups of Abstracts associated with Neurogeneticsconferences will also appear on a regular basis. In an attempt to energize the Journal, the new editorship:a) Has revised the presentation and has provided online access to the Journal; andb) Makes the following commitments to prospective authors: *To provide a fair and constructive peer review of manuscripts submitted.*To ensure that accepted manuscripts appear in electronic databases within six weeks of final acceptance.*To provide rapid editorial review of papers previously reviewed by other journals.*To allow authors maximal latitude in discussing the wide implications of their work and, when duly qualified, encourage discussions that question current models.*To improve representation of research from countries outside Europe and North America.

The Journal of Religious & Theological Information is an essential resource for bibliographers, librarians, and scholars interested in the literature of religion and theology. Both international and pluralistic in scope, this peer-reviewed journal encourages the publication of research and scholarship in the field of library and information studies as it relates to religious studies and related fields, including philosophy, ethnic studies, anthropology, sociology, and historical approaches to religion. By "information" we refer to both print and electronic, and both published and unpublished information. A board of consulting editors assists the editor in reviewing submissions as well as maintaining awareness of developments in the fields covered. Journal of Religious & Theological Information welcomes submissions using various methodologies, including empirical research, essays, and critical reviews. This journal focuses on various stages in librarianship for religious and theological information, such as: productiondisseminationusestorageretrievalpreservationbibliographycollection developmentinstruction and information literacydigitizationspecial collections and archiveshistory of libraries and librarianshipcensorship and intellectual freedomThe journal fills a gap in the literature of library and information science. Lit: Literature Interpretation Theory

ISSN: 1043-6928eISSN: 1545-5866

LIT: Literature Interpretation Theory provides a lively forum for fresh and forceful interpretations of a wide range of literary texts. LIT puts literary theory into action, publishing theoretical analyses that are both rigorous and illuminating. By transcending the boundaries of conventional categories of period, region, and genre, LIT aims to forge a conversation among divergent and often competing critical perspectives as well as literature from different periods and nations.Animated by diversity, LIT embraces the assumption that important insights may be generated within a multitude of theoretical frameworks. Essays informed by structuralism, post-structuralism, gender theory, new or old historicism, psychoanalytic theory, postcolonial theory, semiotics, Marxism, or any other coherent, well-defined theoretical approach might be found in the pages of LIT.While LIT's emphasis is on traditional literary texts, the journal also considers analyses of other kinds of cultural texts, including popular media such as film. The journal insists upon a clarity of language that makes it accessible to a more general reader as well as important reading for literary scholars.General issues are designed to offer a spectrum of essays on a variety of subjects, while special issues bring a range of critical perspectives to a more clearly defined topic.LIT aims to create a dynamic space for energetic, original, and compelling theoretical interpretations of texts representing the rich and multifaceted literary traditions and innovations that have emerged in the course of human history.Peer Review Policy:All articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymous refereeing by two anonymous referees.Publication office: Taylor & Francis, Inc., 325 Chestnut Street, Suite 800, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
