Laboratory Investigation is an international journal owned by the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP) whose prime mission is to publish original manuscripts and review articles in the broad area of translational and basic research as is related to experimental pathology. Manuscripts dealing with research relevance to human clinical disease are given high priority along with those which explore mechanism and etiology of disease processes.The journal features the following types of papers: * Editorial * Inside Lab Invest * Pathobiology in Focus * Perspective * Letter to the Editor * Minireview * Research Articles * Technical Reports.

The neurobiology of learning and memory is entering a new interdisciplinary era. Advances in neuropsychology have identified regions of brain tissue that are critical for certain types of function. Electrophysiological techniques have revealed behavioral correlates of neuronal activity. Studies of synaptic plasticity suggest that some mechanisms of memory formation may resemble those of neural development. And molecular approaches have identified genes with patterns of expression that influence behavior. It is clear that future progress depends on interdisciplinary investigations. The current literature of learning and memory is large but fragmented. Until now, there has been no single journal devoted to this area of study and no dominant journal that demands attention by serious workers in the area, regardless of specialty. Learning & Memory provides a forum for these investigations in the form of research papers and review articles.

Limnology is a scientific journal published three times a year, in January, April, and August, by Springer in association with the Japanese Society of Limnology. The editors welcome original scientific contributions on physical, chemical, biological, or related research, including environmental issues, on any aspect of theoretical or applied limnology. Metabarcoding and Metagenomics (MBMG) is an innovative open access online journal which publishes papers on metabarcoding and metagenomics from both basic and applied aspects. The journal welcomes submissions documenting all types of outcomes throughout the research cycle: data, models, methods, workflows, software, perspectives, opinions, and conventional research articles. The journal will consider manuscripts for publication related (but not limited) to the following topics: Environmental MBMG, Microbial MBMG, Applied MBMG (biomonitoring, quarantine, environmental assessment, nature conservation, eDNA, species invasions and others), molecular ecology, DNA-based species delimitation and identification, and other emerging fields related to MBMG. Submissions of bioinformatic approaches to MBMG (algorithms, software) are also encouraged.

MBMG is published on the ARPHA journal publishing platform, which is the first workflow ever to support the full life cycle of a manuscript, from writing through submission, peer review, publication and dissemination within a single online collaborative platform.

Methodology is the successor of the two journals Metodologia de las Ciencias del Comportamiento and Methods of Psychological Research-Online (MPR-Online). Methodology is the official organ of the European Association of Methodology (EAM; www.eam-online.org), a union of methodologists working in different areas of the social and behavioral sciences (e.g., psychology, sociology, economics, educational and political sciences). The journal provides a platform for interdisciplinary exchange of methodological research and applications in the different fields, including new methodological approaches, review articles, software information, and instructional papers that can be used in teaching. Three main disciplines are covered: data analysis, research methodology, and psychometrics. Annals of Biomedical Engineering is an interdisciplinary, international journal which presents original and review articles in the major fields of bioengineering and biomedical engineering.A major aim of bioengineering is to provide integrated approaches to the solutions of biological and biomedical problems. The philosophy is to provide engineering approaches to enhance the power of the scientific method, and to maintain a balance between experimental observation and quantitative analyses. While the development of theory and of mathematical models is strongly endorsed, these should be evaluated wherever possible using biological data from experiments that test specific hypotheses.
