Australian Historical Studies is a refereed journal publishing original and previously unpublished (online or hard copy) articles. First published in 1940, it is now one of Australia's oldest, best-known and most highly-regarded academic journals, which ERA rate as A. It receives contributions from leading academics in the field. It is published in March, June and December each year. Australian Historical Studies deals with all aspects of the history of Australia-New Zealand, and Pacific regional issues and with other histories insofar as they significantly inform the understanding of this history. Conflict, Security and Development provides an analytical and empirically informed treatment of the linkages between issues of security and development in contemporary international relations. Historically, highly analytic and numeric based methods have sufficed, frequently simplifying the problem to allow analytical tractability. Many manufactured and natural systems (biological, ecological and socio-economic) cannot be adequately represented quantitively alone; qualitations and heuristics, linguistics etc., knowledge is frequently required within a common information-processing framework. A wide range of new theories, methodologies and techniques are required to 'enable' such systems, and thus engineering and integration to deal with these demands. It has an international distribution and is read on six continents. Its reputation for quality is long established and standards are maintained by an internationally based editorial advisory board. Irish Geography has been published by the Geographical Society of Ireland since 1944. An early editorial decision was to concentrate on the geography of Ireland and this has been maintained ever since. This focus has been a source of strength to the journal and has been important in enhancing its international reputation. More recently, to reflect the changing context and increased importance of globalization and migration to Ireland, a decision was made to also allow material on the Irish diaspora and overseas networks to be included in the journal. International and peer-reviewed, Italian Journal of Zoology began life in 1930, when it was first published under the name of Il Bollettino di Zoologia. In 1996 the title was changed to the Italian Journal of Zoology, the name by which the publication is now known worldwide. The Italian Journal of Zoology covers all aspects of basic, comparative, and applied protozoan and animal biology at molecular, cellular, tissue, organ, organismal, population, and community-ecosystem levels. Papers covering multiple levels of organization are particularly welcome. Contributions on zootechnics, animal husbandry, and farming will not be considered as pertinent. Abstracts and Conference proceedings approved by the UZI Executive Committee are also featured in the journal on an ad-hoc basis. The Journal of Accounting and Public Policy publishes research papers focusing on the intersection between accounting and public policy. Preference is given to papers illuminating through theoretical or empirical analysis, the effects of accounting on public policy and vice-versa. Latin American and Caribbean Ethnic Studies is a cross-disciplinary venue for quality research on ethnicity, race relations, and indigenous peoples. It is open to case studies, comparative analysis and theoretical contributions that reflect innovative and critical perspectives, focused on any country or countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, written by authors from anywhere in the world. Maritime Studies (or MAST) is an existing journal, formerly produced by the Center for Maritime Research (MARE) in Amsterdam. It will now be published open access together with Springer in its SpringerOpen portfolio of peer-reviewed fully open access journals. MAST  is an interdisciplinary, international journal devoted to maritime issues and is a sequel to Maritime Anthropological Studies, which appeared between 1988 and 1993. MAST has a social science focus, but functions as a platform for scholars from a broad range of disciplines who are engaged in research on maritime and coastal matters, from an academic or applied point of view. MAST was launched on December 4, 2002 and is published twice per year. MARE (Center for Maritime Research) is an interdisciplinary social-science institute studying the use and management of marine resources. Its objective is to provide a stimulating intellectual climate for academics and policymakers in Europe as well as in the South. Although MARE limits its action radius to the social sciences, it seeks active collaboration with other disciplines. It strives to maintain a balanced mix of academic and policy-oriented research. MARE takes a global perspective, emphasizing the coastal zones of Europe, Asia, and Africa. It covers a broad spectrum of topics, drawing on expertise from fields such as law, history, economics, political science, public administration, anthropology, and geography.

Women's Studies International Forum (formerly Women's Studies International Quarterly, established in 1978) is a bimonthly journal to aid the distribution and exchange of feminist research in the multidisciplinary, international area of women's studies and in feminist research in other disciplines.
