The Electricity Journal is the leading policy journal for the U.S. electric power industry. The Journal began publishing in July 1988. It was created because its founding editor and publisher, Robert Marritz, then a utility lawyer in private practice, was convinced that the electricity industry was moving on a fundamentally different track from the one it had traveled for most of the 20th century. He felt that electric utilities had lost the bedrock confidence of the public, largely as a result of their unsuccessful gamble with nuclear power. During this time, a small but growing industry of alternative suppliers generating power from natural gas-fired co-generation and renewable energy plants (wind power, biomass, hydro and solar), spurred by Congress's passage in 1978 of the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act, were finding markets for their power. These alternative suppliers formed the vanguard of what has now proved to be a highly competitive business: selling power in large quantities at the wholesale level (for resale to end users).The Journal is now the principal print venue for those who are, with their ideas, forging the new shape and design of the electricity/energy industry. Given the importance of planning and development issues in tourism, such as optimising the sector's contribution to socio-economic development, sustainability and resource-use planning, capacity planning, strategic infrastructure planning and forecasting, structural activity re-alignments, the implications of advances in information technology and the relationship between globalisation and tourism, this journal focuses on bringing together researchers and practitioners, individuals and organisations interested in both the theoretical and the practical aspects of planning and development. Tourism Planning & Development aims to provide a forum for the publication and dissemination of new and original theoretical and applied research on tourism planning and development issues through fully refereed research papers. Roberts 'Second Hand Images': On Art's Surrogate Means and Media - Part I: The Art Press and Photography Visual Resources: An International Journal of Documentation is devoted to the study of images and their uses. While images of architecture and works of art constitute its main focus, it also includes other subjects and contexts in a wide range of formats. The Journal of Behavioral Decision Making is a multidisciplinary journal with a broad base of content and style. It publishes original empirical reports, critical review papers, theoretical analyses and methodological contributions. The Journal also features book, software and decision aiding technique reviews, abstracts of important articles published elsewhere and teaching suggestions. The objective of the Journal is to present and stimulate behavioral research on decision making and to provide a forum for the evaluation of complementary, contrasting and conflicting perspectives. These perspectives include psychology, management science, sociology, political science and economics. Studies of behavioral decision making in naturalistic and applied settings are encouraged. Articles on specialist topics aim for wider readability by including fully referenced introductions on the background to a particular study and, where possible, discuss the broader implications of the work. The Journal especially welcomes manuscripts that deal with issues that have cross-disciplinary impact. Such manuscripts will be considered for publication together with a selection of commentaries from members of the editorial board. Reviews are 'collaborationist' in the sense that reviewers are asked to do more than point out flaws and will suggest design improvements, new ideas, relevant references and follow-up studies. The Journal of Earthquake Engineering is a publication of peer-reviewed papers on research and development in analytical, experimental and field studies of earthquakes from an engineering seismology as well as a structural engineering viewpoint. The aims of CoDesign are: * to report new research and scholarship in principles, procedures and techniques relevant to collaboration in design; * to act as an international forum for discussion of collaborative design issues; * to foster communication between academic researchers and industry practitioners concerned with collaborative design; * to encourage a flow of information across the boundaries of the disciplines contributing to collaborative design; * to stimulate ideas and provoke widespread discussion with a forward-looking perspective. CoDesign is inclusive, encompassing collaborative, co-operative, concurrent, human-centred, participatory, socio-technical and community design among others. Research in any design domain concerned specifically with the nature of collaboration design is of relevance to the Journal. Digital Applications in Archaeology and Cultural Heritage (DAACH) is an on-line, peer-reviewed journal in which scholars can publish 3D digital models of the world's cultural heritage sites, monuments, and palaeoanthropological remains accompanied by associated academic articles.The journal aims both to preserve digital cultural heritage models and to provide access to them for the scholarly community to facilitate the academic debate. DAACH offers scholars the opportunity of publishing their models online with full interactivity so that users can explore them at will. It is unique in that its focus is on the application of 3D modeling to cultural heritage. DAACH will provide full peer-review for all 3D models, not just the text, 2D renderings or video fly-throughs, and requires all models to be accompanied by metadata, documentation, and a related article, explaining the history of the subject and its state of preservation, as well as an account of the modeling project itself. The journal focuses on scholarship that either promotes the application of 3D technologies to the fields of archaeology, art and architectural history, and palaeoanthropology or uses 3D technology to make a significant contribution to the study of built structures, works of art or palaeoanthropological remains.Digital Applications in Archaeology and Cultural Heritage will also consider papers dealing with processing of digital data acquired by geophysical prospection in archaeological sites (eg applications of 3D or 2D mapping of buried monuments), digital signals from luminescence measurements, multispectral imaging techniques and processing of atomic force microscopic data applied to archaeomaterials.The provision of a 3D model is not compulsory for an article to be published in this journal.

Studies in Eastern European Cinema provides a platform for vigorous debate for the world-wide community of Eastern European film scholars. The scope of the journal covers the cinemas of Albania, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Estonia, Hungary, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine, just as well as cinemas of Czechoslovakia, East Germany and Yugoslavia as now non-existent states with the veritable cinematic tradition.

Ecohydrology is an international journal publishing original scientific and review papers that aim to improve understanding of processes at the interface between ecology and hydrology and associated applications related to environmental management. Ecohydrology seeks to increase interdisciplinary insights by placing particular emphasis on interactions and associated feedbacks in both space and time between ecological systems and the hydrological cycle. Research contributions are solicited from disciplines focusing on the physical, ecological, biological, biogeochemical, geomorphological, drainage basin, mathematical and methodological aspects of ecohydrology. Research in both terrestrial and aquatic systems is of interest provided it explicitly links ecological systems and the hydrologic cycle; research such as aquatic ecological, channel engineering, or ecological or hydrological modelling is less appropriate for the journal unless it specifically addresses the criteria above. Manuscripts describing individual case studies are of interest in cases where broader insights are discussed beyond site- and species-specific results. The Journal also publishes research on new instrumentation and techniques if they describe truly new and significant advances in methodology that can be broadly applied to the ecohydrological understanding and management of environmental systems. Occasional special issues will be published that cover themes emergent from conferences, ecological and hydrological science societies and key research topics. Ecohydrology welcomes the submission of comment/reply on previously published papers. Such submissions should preferably be in the form of a short paper not exceeding 2000 words and relate to papers previously published in the Journal. All papers for Ecohydrology should be prepared in accordance with the notes for contributors.

Environment and Planning D is an interdisciplinary journal that leads internationally in discussions of the relations between Society and Space. Space is broadly conceived: from landscapes of the body to global geographies; from cyberspace to old growth forests; as metaphorical and material; as theoretical construct and empirical fact. Interpretations move across theoretical spectrums, from psychoanalysis to political economy. The journal editors are equally committed to the nitty gritty of practical politics and the abstractions of social theory. We believe that this commitment is best achieved by keeping a balance between, and placing into creative tension, economic, political, and cultural analyses, as well as theoretical discussions and a range of empirical research. The journal is interdisciplinary; in recent years it has drawn papers from the disciplines of geography, cultural studies, anthropology, sociology, politics, international relations, english, architecture, planning, history, women's studies, art history, and philosophy. It is international in content, a feature that is actively pursued by an international Editorial Advisory Board. Debate is timely and lively. Recent issues include an exchange between David Harvey and Donna Haraway, as well as collections of essays focused around the themes of Animals and Geography, and Deleuze and Dwelling. Environmental Pollution is an international journal that seeks to publish papers that report results from original, novel research that addresses significant environmental pollution issues and problems and contribute new knowledge to science.The editors encourage high quality papers where the pollutants are clearly defined and measured and can be directly related to biological, ecological, and human health effects. This includes air, water, and soil pollution and climate change. New techniques for the study and measurement of pollutants are also encouraged. Papers, such as meta analyses, that report findings from re-examination and interpretation of existing data are welcome Modeling papers are also welcome Critical review papers are also of interest as are letters to the editor.The editors discourage papers that describe results from routine surveys and monitoring programs that are primarily of local interest. Also discouraged are papers about reductionist toxicology, sewage, waste and wastewater management, agronomy, biomonitoring , remediation, bioremeditation, phytoremediation, and general air, water and soil quality.
