The editors seek content supported by sound scientific principles and robust experimental protocols, without a requirement for wider significance. ACS Sensors is a peer-reviewed research journal that is devoted to the dissemination of new and original knowledge on all aspects of sensor science that selectively sense chemical or biological species or processes. Articles should address conceptual advances in sensing. Papers should demonstrate the use of the sensor in complex samples appropriate to the application, show it is fit-for-purpose, and exhibit a correlation of the sensor’s performance with an existing analytical method. Papers may focus on sensor development for commercialization or developing sensors that are used to provide new scientific knowledge.

Acta Parasitologica publishes reports on new investigations in all areas of basic and applied parasitology. It encourages the submission of articles on studies describing most recent findings in the field of immunology, molecular biology, systematics and phylogeny of parasites.Acta Parasitologica was founded in 1953 by the Polish Parasitological Society, and since 1992 it is published by the W. Stefanski Institute of Parasitology in Warsaw, Poland.The journal publishes articles and short communications of interest to a broad range of life sciences researchers beyond the immediate field, as well as book reviews and invited review articles on recent advances of interest to its audience. The Editor-in-chief is Anna Puciłowska, Institute of Parasitology, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland.

The American Journal of Physiology-Gastrointestinal and Liver Physiology publishes original articles pertaining to all aspects of research involving normal or abnormal function of the gastrointestinal tract, hepatobiliary system, and pancreas. Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts dealing with growth and development, digestion, secretion, absorption, metabolism, and motility relative to these organs, as well as research reports dealing with immune and inflammatory processes and with neural, endocrine, and circulatory control mechanisms that affect these organs. Reports of research utilizing molecular biological, cell biological, immunological, biochemical, and morphological approaches that contribute to knowledge of normal physiology or pathophysiology of these organs are especially welcomed. Research ranging from molecular and cellular events to whole animal studies and translational studies in human samples is appropriate.

The American Journal of Physiology - Cell Physiology is dedicated to innovative approaches to the study of cell and molecular physiology. Contributions that use cellular and molecular approaches to shed light on mechanisms of physiological control at higher levels of organization also appear regularly. Manuscripts dealing with the structure and function of cell membranes, contractile systems, cellular organelles, and membrane channels, transporters, and pumps are encouraged. Studies dealing with integrated regulation of cellular function, including mechanisms of signal transduction, development, gene expression, cell-to-cell interactions, and the cell physiology of pathophysiological states, are also eagerly sought. Interdisciplinary studies that apply the approaches of biochemistry, biophysics, molecular biology, morphology, and immunology to the determination of new principles in cell physiology are especially.

Endocrinology and Metabolism publishes original, mechanistic studies on the physiology of endocrine and metabolic systems. Molecular, subcellular, and cellular studies in whole animals or humans will be considered. Specific themes include, but are not limited to, mechanisms of hormone and growth factor action; regulation of metabolism and energy balance; integrative organ cross talk; paracrine and autocrine control of endocrine cell performance; function and activation of hormone receptors; endocrine or metabolic control of channels, transporters and membrane function; differentiation of endocrine and reproductive cell function; temporal analysis of hormone secretion and metabolism; and mathematical/kinetic modeling and analysis of hormone action or metabolism. Novel molecular, immunological, or biophysical studies of hormone action are also welcome.

Animal Science Journal (a continuation of Animal Science and Technology) is the official journal of the Japanese Society of Animal Science (JSAS) and publishes Original Research Articles (full papers and rapid communications) in English in all fi elds of animal and poultry science: genetics and breeding, genetic engineering, reproduction, embryo manipulation, nutrition, feeds and feeding, physiology, anatomy, environment and behavior, animal products (milk, meat, eggs and their by-products) and their processing, and livestock economics. Animal Science Journal will invite Review Articles in consultations with Editors. Submission to the Journal is open to those who are interested in animal science.

Annals of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (AOEM) considers original contributions relevant to occupational and environmental medicine and related fields in the form of original articles, review articles, short letters and case reports. Asian Journal of Endoscopic Surgery, a joint official journal of the Japan Society for Endoscopic Surgery, Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of Asia, and the Asia Endosurgery Task Force publishes significant studies in the fields of endoscopic surgery. RSC Applied Interfaces is a dedicated, interdisciplinary reference journal for cutting-edge research on the applications of surfaces and interfaces. CBE-LSE publishes peer-reviewed articles on life science education at the K 12, undergraduate, and graduate levels. The ASCB believes that learning in biology encompasses diverse fields, including math, chemistry, physics, engineering, computer science, and the interdisciplinary intersections of biology with these fields. Within biology, CBE-LSE focuses on how students are introduced to the study of life sciences, as well as approaches in cell biology, developmental biology, neuroscience, biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, and proteomics. CBE-LSE is written by and to serve professionals engaged in biology teaching in all environments, including faculty at large research universities who teach but do not view teaching as their primary mission, as well as those whose teaching is the major focus of their careers, in primarily undergraduate institutions, museums and outreach programs, junior and community colleges, and K 12 schools.

China Ocean Engineering integrates new research concepts, equipment, technology, materials and structures and other scientific advances within the field of estuarial, coastal, offshore, and deep water engineering with particular reference to developments. The Journal is concerned with all engineering aspects involved in the exploration and utilization of ocean resources. Topics regularly covered include research, design and construction of structures (including wharfs, dikes, breakwaters, platforms, mooring systems, etc.), instrumentation/testing (physical model and numerical model), wave dynamics, sedimentation, structural/stress analysis, soil mechanics, and material research. China Ocean Engineering is a publication of Chinese Ocean Engineering Society.

Clinical and Experimental Pharmacology and Physiology provides a medium for the rapid publication of original research papers, short communications, rapid communications and theoretical articles (hypotheses) on the results of clinical and experimental work in pharmacology and physiology. Invited review articles are published occasionally. The Journal aims to make a substantial contribution to effective and productive communication between scientists throughout the world who are working in these interrelated disciplines. Clinical and Experimental Pharmacology and Physiology has been adopted by the High Blood Pressure Research Council of Australia (HBPRCA) and the Australasian Society of Clinical and Experimental Pharmacologists and Toxicologists (ASCEPT).
