Applied Mobilities publishes theoretically informed, applied research and practice-orientated perspectives in mobilities. It focuses on the planning, design, technologies and social and cultural applications of mobilities. Through an emphasis on social theory and planning practice it also seeks to develop a greater understanding of the transition of mobility systems towards sustainable practices and the consequences of diverse mobilities on societies. 

It publishes original research articles, practice based commentaries and reviews.

This section of Applied Mobilities invites practitioners and/or scholars to develop to introduce and reflect upon new themes and debates that are relevant to mobilities thinking, research and practice. Such innovative perspectives aim to increase the impact of research on the re-thinking of mobilities and help to develop political and societal strategies to understand the social, ecological and economic consequences of diverse mobilities on societies.

ELECTROPHORESIS is an international journal that publishes original manuscripts on all aspects of electrophoresis. Topics include new or improved analytical and preparative methods, development of theory, and innovative applications of electrophoretic methods in the study of nucleic acids, proteins, and other compounds. Papers describing the application of standard electrophoretic methods will not be considered. Microfluidics and proteomics, which have been an integral part of the Journal since 2000 or earlier, have been added as subtitles in 2008 to make them more visible to the readers and authors (Papers in the areas of microfluidics and proteomics, which are not limited to electrophoresis-based methods will also be accepted for publication). As a natural expansion of the scope of the Journal, we now add Nanoanalysis as another subtitle. Nanoanalysis is a broad term, and therefore papers that will be accepted for publications in nanoanalysis must be focused on one or more of the following: (i) nanoscale electrokinetics and phenomena related to electric double layer and/or confinement in nano-sized geometry, (ii) single cell and sub- cellular analysis, (iii) nano-sensors and ultra-sensitive detection aspects (e.g., involving quantum dots, 'nano-electrodes' or nano-spray MS), (iv) nano-scale/nanopore DNA sequencing (next generation sequencing), (v) micro- and nano-scale sample preparation, (vi) nanoparticles and cells analyses by dielectrophoresis, (vii) separation-based analysis using nanoparticles, nanotubes and nanowires. ELECTROPHORESIS will continue to serve as an indispensable vehicle for the dissemination of efficacious advances by covering all operative approaches from gels through capillaries to chips. Field Crops Researchis an international journal publishing scientific articles on both experimental and modelling research at the field, farm and landscape level on temperate and tropical crops and cropping systems, with a focus on crop ecology and physiology, agronomy, and plant genetics and breeding. Articles on plant genetics and breeding need to be integrated with crop ecology and physiology, and/or agronomy. An economic analysis may be included if appropriate.

Papers must demonstrate new scientific insight, original technologies or novel methods that have general application and relevance to field crops. Research findings of a purely corroborative nature, descriptive or of only local significance will not be considered.

The journal's focus is major field crops for food and feed. This focus includes species used for cultivated pastures, but excludes natural grasslands. Other species, including important biofuel crops, could be considered if they contribute to the basic understanding of processes related to development, growth and yield of field crops. Horticultural (i.e., vegetable and fruit species), woody perennial, medicinal and non-cultivated species are outside the scope of the journal.

Field experiments on which manuscripts are based should, unless exceptional circumstances apply, include at least two seasons and/or multiple locations/environments. The inclusion of yield data is highly encouraged to demonstrate how the field experiments contribute to a better understanding of the bio-physical processes related to crop growth. Papers on crop protection (diseases, pests, weeds) can be accepted provided they have a strong focus on crop processes, including consequences for yield. Experiments under controlled conditions (glasshouse, growth chamber) are only acceptable as complementary to field work; studies carried-out exclusively under controlled conditions are outside the scope of the journal. Papers on remote sensing will only be considered if their focus is the use of these techniques to understand crop processes and their links to crop yield. Articles on crop storage, transportation and usage, and social studies on crops and cropping systems, are outside the scope of the journal.

Fractional Calculus and Applied Analysis (FCAA) is a specialized international journal based on worldwide editorship, authorship and readership. Since its beginning in 1998, the journal aims to be the most prestigious and suitable forum for publication of high quality original results and surveys on the FCAA topics, for exchange of ideas, discussions, open problems and announcements on recent and forthcoming books and events in the area. The purpose of the journal is to provide a central place for publication and reference for those interested in all aspects of the history of retailing and consumption: from the literary, to the spatial, to the economic. In bringing together different disciplinary perspectives and methodological approaches, we aim to foster greater dialogue across disciplines which too often exist in silos. Equally, by drawing together contributions from across the globe, we look to establish a clearer dialogue between national schools of thought and to facilitate international comparisons through empirical studies and review essays. In this way, the journal will nuance the dominant Anglo-American perspective on consumption with viewpoints taken from different places and different times.

We look to publish high quality contributions on any aspect of the history of retailing and consumption: from antiquity to the 21 ^st century, and from advertising and shopping to consumption rituals and political identity. Articles might take a variety of forms: case studies of particular firms, places or practices; comparative analyses across space or time; review essays challenging or championing particular theoretical perspectives, or cross-disciplinary comparisons, for example linking archival and literary or artefactual sources. We also want to encourage ‘thought pieces’: shorter articles which could provide historical parallels with topical issues or explore particular objects, documents or shops. In this way and others, we seek to link the journal to the curators/archivists who care for the shop/company archives or museum collections.

  Vicki Howard is an Associate Professor of History at Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York. Her research explores the relationship between commerce and culture in United States history from the late nineteenth-century to the present and covers such topics as the wedding industry, the decline of the local department store, and the origins of the snackfood industry.

Journal for the Study of Spirituality is a peer-reviewed journal which creates a unique interdisciplinary, inter-professional and cross-cultural forum where researchers, scholars and others engaged in the study and practices of spirituality can share and debate the research, knowledge, wisdom and insight associated with spirituality and contemporary spirituality studies.

The  British Association for the Study of Spirituality (BASS) organises a biennial international conference and welcomes enquiries about membership from those interested in the study of spirituality in the UK and worldwide.

The journal is concerned with what spirituality means, and how it is expressed, in individuals’ lives and communities and in professional practice settings; and with the impact and implications of spirituality in, and on, social policy, organizational practices and personal and professional development. The journal recognises that spirituality and spiritual values can be expressed and studied in secular contexts, including in scientific and professional practice settings, as well as within faith and wisdom traditions.

Thus, Journal for the Study of Spirituality particularly welcomes contributions that:

The Journal of Dual Diagnosis is a quarterly, international publication that focuses on the full spectrum of complexities regarding dual diagnosis. The co-occurrence of mental health and substance use disorders, or 8220;dual diagnosis,8221; is one of the quintessential issues in behavioral health. Why do such high rates of co-occurrence exist? What does it tell us about risk profiles? How do these linked disorders affect people, their families, and the communities in which they live? What are the natural paths to recovery? What specific treatments are most helpful and how can new ones be developed? How can we enhance the implementation of evidence-based practices at clinical, administrative, and policy levels? How can we help clients to learn active recovery skills and adopt needed supports, clinicians to master new interventions, programs to implement effective services, and communities to foster healthy adjustment? The Journal addresses each of these perplexing challenges. The Journal of Dual Diagnosis includes articles and perspectives from four overarching domains relevant to the field: Psychopharmacology & Neurobiology, Psychotherapy & Psychosocial Issues, Services & Policy, and Clinical Forum. The Journal of Spanish Language Teaching is a new peer-reviewed journal that provides an international forum for innovative research, methods, materials and theories on the teaching and learning of Spanish as a foreign language. The Journal's main purpose is to create a dialogue between researchers and practitioners worldwide in order to enrich a discipline that is experiencing tremendous growth. The Journal invites contributions from researchers working on topics related to the teaching and learning of the Spanish language at any educational level and in any setting.

The Journal will publish original research papers as well as book reviews. Periodically, it will also consider monographic issues and critical surveys of recent research related to a specific sub-discipline or geographical area. A thorough peer review process will be applied to both commissioned and unsolicited articles. The Journal of Spanish Language Teaching will constitute an essential journal of reference in the field. There is currently no other academic publication dedicated solely to the teaching and learning of Spanish, which exists in both print and electronic formats, and is global in its reach. The Journal of the Mechanical Behavior of Biomedical Materials is concerned with the mechanical deformation, damage and failure under applied forces, of biological material (at the tissue, cellular and molecular levels) and of biomaterials, i.e. those materials which are designed to mimic or replace biological materials.The primary focus of the journal is the synthesis of materials science, biology, and medical and dental science. Reports of fundamental scientific investigations are welcome, as are articles concerned with the practical application of materials in medical devices. Both experimental and theoretical work is of interest; theoretical papers will normally include comparison of predictions with experimental data, though we recognize that this may not always be appropriate. Life Sciences is an international journal publishing articles that emphasize the molecular, cellular, and functional basis of therapy. The journal emphasizes the understanding of mechanism that is relevant to all aspects of human disease and translation to patients. All articles are rigorously reviewed.The Journal favors publication of full-length papers where modern scientific technologies are used to explain molecular, cellular and physiological mechanisms. Articles that merely report observations are rarely accepted. Recommendations from the Declaration of Helsinki or NIH guidelines for care and use of laboratory animals must be adhered to. Articles should be written at a level accessible to readers who are non-specialists in the topic of the article themselves, but who are interested in the research. The Journal welcomes mini-reviews on topics of wide interest to investigators in the life sciences. We particularly encourage submission of brief, focused reviews containing high-quality artwork and require the use of mechanistic summary diagrams.Manuscripts should present novel preclinical findings addressing questions of biological significance to human disease. Studies that fail to do so may be rejected without review. Quantitative conclusions must be based on truly quantitative methods. Nature Chemical Biology is an international monthly journal that provides a high-visibility forum for the publication of top-tier original research and commentary for the chemical biology community. Chemical biology is an emerging field that combines the scientific ideas and approaches of chemistry, biology and allied disciplines to understand and manipulate biological systems with molecular precision. The journal publishes papers from the expanding community of chemical biologists, including contributions from chemists who are applying the principles and tools of chemistry to biological questions and from biologists who are interested in understanding and controlling biological processes at the molecular level.We give priority to studies that report significant conceptual or practical advances in any area where chemistry and biology intersect. The journal is primarily interested in basic research, especially those studies that report new chemical or biological tools or present significant new molecular-level insights into the mechanisms underpinning biological processes. Additionally, because chemical biology approaches have broad utility for manipulating or engineering biological systems, the journal also considers manuscripts describing applied molecular studies at the chemistry-biology interface. Oceanologia, the official journal of the http://www.iopan.gda.pl/kbm/en/Committee of Marine Research and the http://www.iopan.gda.pl/index.htmlInstitute of Oceanology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, is an international journal that publishes results of original research in the field of marine sciences with emphasis on the European seas. Manuscripts contributing, but not limited, to the understanding of properties and processes in the marine environment in the aspect of basic sciences: biology, chemistry, physics, ecology and geochemistry will be considered for publication. Special attention will be given to papers devoted to phenomena occurring in the marine environment in the zones characterized by:
• gradients of properties (salinity, red-ox, temperature, light field, others),
• phases boundaries both abiotic and biotic/abiotic (aqueous/solid, aqueous/gaseous, biotic/solid and biotic/aqueous),
• marine-land boundary.

We also encourage the submission of manuscripts dealing with multidisciplinary approaches to the investigated phenomena, as well as those devoted to manifestations of contemporary global issues e.g. climate warming and other global change-related phenomena, and/or describing possible and actual adaptations to threats brought by these changes. Preference will be given to manuscripts covering innovative research of global significance over those devoted to strictly local issues, and to papers contributing to the marine ecosystem functioning over strictly descriptive ones.
