International Journal of Data Analysis Techniques and Strategies

ISSN: 1755-8050eISSN: 1755-8069

Many current data analysis techniques are beyond the reach of most managers and practitioners. Obscure maths and daunting algorithms have created an impassable chasm for problem solvers and decision makers. IJDATS bridges three gaps: firstly, a gap between academic ivory tower and the real world; secondly, a gap between quantitative data analysis techniques and qualitative data analysis techniques; and finally, a gap between a specific technique and an overall strategy.

Environment and Planning D: Society and Space

ISSN: 0263-7758eISSN: 1472-3433

Environment and Planning D is an interdisciplinary journal that leads internationally in discussions of the relations between Society and Space. Space is broadly conceived: from landscapes of the body to global geographies; from cyberspace to old growth forests; as metaphorical and material; as theoretical construct and empirical fact. Interpretations move across theoretical spectrums, from psychoanalysis to political economy. The journal editors are equally committed to the nitty gritty of practical politics and the abstractions of social theory. We believe that this commitment is best achieved by keeping a balance between, and placing into creative tension, economic, political, and cultural analyses, as well as theoretical discussions and a range of empirical research. The journal is interdisciplinary; in recent years it has drawn papers from the disciplines of geography, cultural studies, anthropology, sociology, politics, international relations, english, architecture, planning, history, women's studies, art history, and philosophy. It is international in content, a feature that is actively pursued by an international Editorial Advisory Board. Debate is timely and lively. Recent issues include an exchange between David Harvey and Donna Haraway, as well as collections of essays focused around the themes of Animals and Geography, and Deleuze and Dwelling. A good number of papers published in the journal have had a lasting impact; two recent edited volumes of reprinted articles in Social Geography, and Philosophy and Geography are comprised of papers drawn primarily from Society and Space. Apart from papers and debate, there are editorials and commentaries, many of which are highly cited and a good number later reprinted elsewhere, as well as book reviews and extended review essays.

Sport in Society

ISSN: 1743-0437eISSN: 1743-0445

The global impact of sport in domains including business, politics, industry, culture and multi-media has paralleled a vibrant growth in international academia’s focus upon the discipline. Things have changed radically over the last few years. Sport now is transnational and global, regional and local at the same time and impacts the lives of millions across the world. Sports governance and administration is layered and complex and on occasions deeply politicized as well. Today Sport in Society is regarded as the preeminent academic and professional platform to critically engage in debates on these issues. It represents a multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary forum for academics and professionals to consider the growing relationship of sport to an array of public domains. The Editorial Board welcomes submissions from scholars who place particular emphasis on publishing original, empirical research articles that demonstratively convey impact on its end users. It is proud of its truly international reach and, in a spirit of further expansion, welcomes submissions from colleagues based in Latin America, Asia and Australasia to compliment its already well-established North American and European readership.

Parliaments, Estates and Representation

ISSN: 0260-6755eISSN: 1947-248X

Parliaments, Estates & Representation - Parlements, Etats et Representation is the journal of the International Commission for the History of Representative and Parliamentary Institutions (ICHRPI) - Commission internationale pour l'histoire des Assemblees d'Etats (CIHAE). The aims of the journal, as of the Commission, are to promote research into the origin, growth and development of representative and parliamentary institutions throughout the world in all periods. In particular, it encourages the study of the development of representative institutions in a wide and comparative way. It facilitates the international exchange of bibliographical information. It is concerned with the political theory and institutional practice of representation as well as with the internal organization, political culture and the social and political background to parliaments and assemblies of estates. Representative urban institutions and international parliamentary organizations also fall within its remit. The journal publishes scholarly articles covering the whole spectrum of the history of representative institutions up to the present day. The journal welcomes all contributions which fall within its field of interest, including papers presented at conferences of the ICHRPI. Articles may be submitted in English, French or German. International Reviews of Immunology

ISSN: 0883-0185eISSN: 1563-5244

This review journal provides the most current information on basic and translational research in immunology and related fields. In addition to invited reviews, the journal accepts for publication articles and editorials on relevant topics proposed by contributors. Each issue of International Reviews of Immunology contains both solicited and unsolicited review articles, editorials, and 'In-this-Issue' highlights. The journal also hosts reviews that position the authors' original work relative to advances in a given field, bridging the gap between annual reviews and the original research articles. This review series is relevant to all immunologists, molecular biologists, microbiologists, translational scientists, industry researchers, and physicians who work in basic and clinical immunology, inflammatory and allergic diseases, vaccines, and additional topics relevant to medical research and drug development that connect immunology to disciplines such as oncology, cardiovascular disease, and metabolic disorders.Covered in International Reviews of Immunology:1) Basic and developmental immunology (innate and adaptive immunity; inflammation; and tumor and microbial immunology);2) Clinical research (mechanisms of disease in man pertaining to infectious diseases, autoimmunity, allergy, oncology / immunology); and3) Translational research (relevant to biomarkers, diagnostics, vaccines, and drug development). The editors' intent is that this journal provide the most recent and relevant information, hence the submissions are being reviewed by members of the editorial team and / or experts in the field; yet the turnaround time is short, in order to insure that the reviews contain the latest data. An international board of editors makes sure that the material presented is as broad as possible, both in terms of the geographic distribution of contributors and the range of interests represented.Read More: http://informahealthcare.com/page/iri/Description.
