Journal Guide

Disability & Society is an international journal providing a focus for debate about such issues as human rights, discrimination, definitions, policy and practices. It appears against a background of change in the ways in which disability is viewed and responded to. Definitions of disability are more readily acknowledged to be relative; segregated approaches are seen as inadequate and unacceptable - placing greater emphasis on community care and inclusion. However, policy intentions may not have the desired effects on the realities of everyday practice and policy changes themselves may be merely cosmetic, or appropriate but unfounded. The Journal publishes articles that represent a wide range of perspectives including the importance of the voices of disabled people. As well as main articles there is a Current Issues section that is intended to give people the opportunity to write about things that concern them in a less formal and academic way. The pieces should be interesting, controversial or even polemical and may encourage others to respond. They do not need to meet the conventional academic criteria but they should not be personal attacks or libellous. The word limit is 2000. Papers will be refereed and can explore any topic related to disability issues and questions. The papers must be authored by students undertaking under-graduate, postgraduate or research degrees. The papers need to be between 3000 and 7000 words (maximum). The papers should: * Provide an adequate review of disability studies literature. * Have clearly acknowledged sources. * Be specifically written for the Journal taking into account its ethos and audience. * Conform to the academic requirements of the Journal * Where necessary adequately discuss the methods used. * Have particular attention paid to the presentation and analysis of empirical data. * Pay attention to the Journal's policy on language. Book Reviews Every edition of the journal contains up to four book reviews. These cover a wide range of issues on the social, political and cultural aspects of disability from a national and international perspective. The Book Reviews Editor, Alison Sheldon welcomes suggestions both for books to be reviewed and suitable reviewers. Letters and Doctoral Theses Special Issues The Journal also publishes Special Issues which address a chosen theme central to disability studies. The issues are open to submission of papers by any interested parties and they seek to include contributions from authors in a range of countries. All papers are refereed in line with the normal refereeing procedures of the Journal. The most recent Special Issue published in 2009 Vol 24, Number 5 is on the theme: 'Brave New World?': Disability and the 21st Century: Challenges and Solutions.' Future Special Issues, procedures and dates for submission, will be advertised at least 9 months in advance of the deadline. Peer Review Policy: All articles submitted to the journal undergo rigorous peer review. This involves anonymised refereeing by two anonymous referees and where there is a split decision by a third referee. The journal has an extensive editorial board of referees that have standing both nationally and internationally. ISPRS Journal of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (P&RS) is the official journal of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS). The journal is to provide a channel of communication for scientists and professionals in all countries working in the many disciplines employing photogrammetry, remote sensing, spatial information systems, computer vision, and other related fields. The GAMO is a high-quality scientific journal (published both in print and freely available online format) that informs healthcare professionals on the most relevant and updated advances on research and education, in order to offer cancer patients multidisciplinary, state of the art care.

It is the official scientific and academic diffusion publication of the Mexican Society of Oncology (SMeO). Regular numbers are published every two months, in addition to several supplements throughout the year.

Its spaces are open to the SMeO members, as well as to any member of the medical community (both national and international) interested in using this publication to communicate his/her works under the standards of universal editorial policies.

It is the jornal of choice for oncologists in matters of research and education on surgical, medical, pediatric, gynecologic, hematologic and radiation oncology, as well as on detection, diagnosis, follow-up and rehabilitation supportive disciplines, fields where different specialties involved in the management of the cancer patient do participate.
About the journal

The mission of the GAMO consists in serving its readers in:

1. representation and promotion of the oncolgy profession throughout the country and the world
2. promotion of standards of the highest quality in the practice of multidisciplinary care for the cancer patient
3. providing educational materials on cancer and support the training of investigators, using printed and electronic media
4. promotion of both clinical and translational cancer research, with special emphasis on clinical trials
5. facilitate the professional development of trainee oncologists and their transition to academical practice, fostering the interest on care for the community
6. promotion of public policies and support and guidance instruments for the cancer patient.

The Editorial Board and Committee are comprised of different experts in the field of oncology from multiple institutions, both national and international. The Editorial Board is structured based on the editorial sections that reflect the contents of the journal. Each section is directed by a section editor who supervises peer reviewing of the works by experts on the relevant area or subject. The Editorial Board Members are regular collaborators of the journal and are appointed to a 2-year period. The Editor in Chief has a 4-year period with option to a second period for the same time.
Publication guidelines

The journal is subject to international publication guidelines that indicate how a manuscript must be prepared to be able to be published, aspects on edition and publication of articles and ethical considerations that have to be followed in the communication of results.
Article types

The journal includes several types of articles. According to the structure, focus, contents, scope and purposes of the document, they can be classified as:

• Original articles
• Review articles
• Clinical cases

The articles can support their proposals, findings and conclusions using tables and images.

The articles are subject to peer review as a control method with regard to quality and veracity of the contents.

Comparative European Politics (CEP) arises out of a unique editorial partnership linking political scientists in Europe and North America. CEP defines its scope broadly to include the comparative politics and political economy of the whole of contemporary Europe within and beyond the European Union, the processes of European integration and enlargement and the place of Europe and European states within international/global political and economic dynamics. As the most regionally integrated political and economic space within the global system, Europe presents a particular opportunity to political scientists to explore the dynamic relationship between transnational, international and domestic processes and practices. The editors welcome original theoretical, empirical and theoretically-informed pieces which deal with these relationships. Such issues pose awkward questions about the limitations of existing disciplinary perspectives and theoretical conventions, requiring theoretical and methodological innovation and an ability to develop genuinely interdisciplinary approaches. CEP aims to publish exceptional work prepared to rise to this challenge. The journal is rigorously peer-reviewed. It neither reflects nor represents any particular school or approach, nor does it restrict itself to particular methodologies or theoretical perspectives. Rather, whilst promoting interdisciplinarity and a greater dialogue between the various sub-disciplines of European political analysis, Comparative European Politics publishes the best and most original work in the field. It publishes substantial articles marking either core empirical developments, theoretical innovation or, preferably, both. The journal particularly encourages pieces which seek to develop the link between substantive empirical investigations and theoretical elaboration and those which transcend the artificial separation of domestic, comparative and international analysis. The editors publish a limited number of debate pieces and review articles related to issues of contemporary theoretical and empirical controversy. The mission of Corporate Governance: An International Review is to publish cutting-edge international business research on the phenomena of comparative corporate governance throughout the global economy. Our ultimate goal is a rigorous and relevant global theory of corporate governance. We define corporate governance broadly as the exercise of power over corporate entities so as to increase the value provided to the organization's various stakeholders, as well as making those stakeholders accountable for acting responsibly with regard to the protection, generation, and distribution of wealth invested in the firm. Because of this broad conceptualization, a wide variety of academic disciplines can contribute to our understanding, and we do not limit our perspective to any one theory or methodological paradigm. Previous theory and research has been published by scholars operating from such base disciplines as accounting, economics, finance, law, management, sociology, and political science. In other words, we seek to learn about both the antecedents and effects of corporate governance practices, policies, and principles throughout the world from an interdisciplinary 'conversation'. Authors should strive to produce original, insightful, and interesting theory and research to build on previous corporate governance research or redirect research into entirely new areas, so that we move closer to a parsimonious, accurate and generalizable global theory of corporate governance. All submissions are comprehensively refereed using two or more anonymous reviewers who do not know the names or the affiliations of the submitting author(s). We see reviewing as a developmental process that aims at improving the quality of individual papers. The International Journal of Osteopathic Medicine is a peer-reviewed journal that provides for the publication of high quality research articles and review papers that are as broad as the many disciplines that influence and underpin the principles and practice of osteopathic medicine. Particular emphasis is given to basic science research, clinical epidemiology and health social science in relation to osteopathy and neuromusculoskeletal medicine.The Editorial Board encourages submission of articles based on both quantitative and qualitative research designs. The Editorial Board also aims to provide a forum for discourse and debate on any aspect of osteopathy and neuromusculoskeletal medicine with the aim of critically evaluating existing practices in regard to the diagnosis, treatment and management of patients with neuromusculoskeletal disorders and somatic dysfunction.
