The Journal of the International AIDS Society (JIAS) is a peer-reviewed and Open Access journal for the generation and dissemination of evidence from a wide range of disciplines: basic and biomedical sciences; behavioural sciences; epidemiology; clinical sciences; health economics and health policy; operations research and implementation sciences; and social sciences and humanities. Submission of HIV research carried out in low- and middle-income countries is strongly encouraged.

The Archive for History of Exact Sciences casts light upon the conceptual groundwork of the sciences by analyzing the historical course of mathematical and quantitative thought and the precise theory of nature, embracing as well their connections to experiment in the physical and modern biological sciences. This journal nourishes historical research meeting the standards of the mathematical sciences. Its aim is to give rapid and full publication to writings of exceptional depth, scope, and permanence.

With an interdisciplinary and international focus, Policy Sciences encourages a diversity of perspectives. The editors especially welcome conceptual and empirical innovation, together with the potential richness and insight of comparative orientation. The journal offers articles that examine the normative aspects of policy sciences; conceptual articles addressing concrete policy issues; articles on particularly controversial pieces of analysis; opposing perspectives, including critiques and rejoinders on articles already published, which open the journal to an exchange of views rather than restricting it to pure presentation; and special issues that analyze specific topics in depth. Policy Sciences favors, but does not publish exclusively, works that either explicitly or implicitly utilize the policy sciences framework. Reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of life science research, Emerging Topics in Life Sciences is a journal jointly-owned by the Royal Society of Biology and the Biochemical Society specializing in publishing themed issues on emerging topics.

From students and early-career researchers to established scientists, the reader will be kept up-to-date with recent advances, leading perspectives and emerging trends across the life sciences. Areas covered in the journal include, but are not limited to: cell and molecular biology, organismal biology, biochemistry, biophysics, biotechnology, clinical and medical sciences, plant science, veterinary sciences, ecology, and environmental sciences.

Written for an interdisciplinary audience, each issue focusses on a new, or growing, key topic and is guest edited by an expert in that field.

The purpose of this journal is to provide a medium of exchange for scientists engaged in applied sciences (physics, mathematical physics, natural, and technological sciences) where there exists a non-trivial interplay between mathematics, mathematical modelling of real systems and mathematical and computer methods oriented towards the qualitative and quantitative analysis of real physical systems.The principal areas of interest of this journal are the following: *Mathematical modelling of systems in applied sciences; *Mathematical methods for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of models of mathematical physics and technological sciences; * Numerical and computer treatment of mathematical models or real systems.Special attention will be paid to the analysis of nonlinearities and stochastic aspects.Within the above limitation, scientists in all fields which employ mathematics are encouraged to submit research and review papers to the journal. Water management and water infrastructure are preconditions for civilization, and demands on our water resources are increasing. In some regions these demands are exceeding capacities to supply water. Our old water institutions, laws, regulations, treaties and agreements are straining to meet the new demographic realities. Throughout the world there is a growing need to build a capacity for integrated water management in order to create new opportunities for cooperation, community and peace building; to respond to scarcities; and to manage local, national and trans-boundary conflicts. Building this capacity for integrated water management calls for a new dialogue between many different private and public communities - policy making, diplomatic, administrative, financial, legal and technical/scientific. This dialogue must also include the traditional water communities - industrial, urban, agricultural and transportation. Water Policy provides a forum for this dialogue. It invites these communities into this forum both to shape and to be shaped by thinking and debate on water policy worldwide. Water Policy is an Open Access journal publishing reviews, research papers and progress reports in, among others, the following areas: financial, diplomatic, organizational, legal, administrative and research; organized by country, region or river basin. Water Policy also publishes reviews of books and grey literature. The journal will publish analyses, reviews and debates on all policy aspects of water resources.

Applications in Plant Sciences (APPS) is a monthly, peer-reviewed, open access journal promoting the rapid dissemination of newly developed, innovative tools and protocols in all areas of the plant sciences, including genetics, structure, function, development, evolution, systematics, and ecology.
